I inquired through e-mail if Artisans could install a very tall pendant light in my foyer and also a new fireplace mantel. Jimmy called me immediately and was very professional with his response. He gave me a quote over the phone after I had sent him some pictures and we had an appointment set up the following week. He and Bill showed up exactly on time, set up a ladder system to hang my very high, awkward light, and had the light and mantel both hung within an hour and a half - A quarter of the time he had quoted me. Lawton Construction Co
I had a good experience with Lawton Construction a few years back so I decided to use them again for an interior door replacement, and new mantel installation. For the quote, Neal was over an hour late until I called him to determine if he was on his way. Turns out he had the wrong address entered into the GPS. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, and having had a good experience a few years back a scheduled him for the work. During the process, at various times I tried to narrow down specifics as to scheduling. Replies via Text/email were days later. Finally, we settled on a day to do the installation. After taking off the day from work to be home Neal was a No Show. I called several times to confirm during the day with each passing hour with no response. Still to this day I don't know what happened and have not heard back from him. I wasted a day of vacation waiting for him to show-up as well as time spent trying to coordinate with him. Despite a good experience a few years ago, I will not be using this company again. Generally, I do not write reviews let alone bad ones but I am so annoyed with the lack of professionalism that I am writing this review weeks later

We talked to 3 different companies. James of The Chimney Specialist was, by far, the best choice for us. We initially thought we would need a fireplace insert, James talked to us and helped us understand what we were truly looking for. We lived in Texas, we were looking for ambiance more than heat. With this in mind, James found the most cost effective way to give us the look we want at a very reasonable price. He fixed our firebox, installed a new high efficiency damper and got us a custom fabricated fireplace surround. After hiring Eduardo's company, he referred us to a stone yard where my wife and I could view the different types and colors of stone compatible with the job requirements. We had shown him a detailed picture of a stone fireplace my wife had found on a website and Eduardo knew immediately what type and color of stone we were talking about. We wanted to see the stone for ourselves so we visited the stone yard and confirmed our choice. We had a scheduling challenge to deal with as we are having a flat screen TV mounted on the fireplace wall above the firebox and some prep work needed to be done on that project before the stone construction work could begin. Eduardo was willing and able to accommodate our schedule. He sent his guys in to remove the existing slate tiles one day and my surround sound company came in the following day to attach the mounting support to the wall, around which the stone could be built. Eduardo showed up with his crew to discuss the tear out with them as well as to explain to me how the job was to proceed. Due to all the rain we had had earlier in the week, Eduardo was forced to postpone the pouring of concrete for one of his outdoor jobs and was able to come back and begin stone construction a day earlier than scheduled. It couldn't have worked better. Tear-out one day, TV mount construction the next, stone construction the third day. Eduardo and his crew showed up when they said they would both for the tear-out day and the final construction day. He spent considerable time both days overseeing the operation. That was important to me. He didn't just turn his crew loose and was there to answer my questions and let me know all was under control. We had new wood floors put in a couple of months ago and were very concerned that they be protected while materials were being brought in and taken out of the house. Our floors look great because the Chibli crew took good care to protect them. Upon completion of the job, the Chibli crew cleaned up the material, swept and vacuumed their work area, and left us with a beautiful new fireplace that my wife and I agree has transformed the look of our family room. We will be hiring Chibli Stone Works again

Martin and another staff person from Hale's Chimney Cleaning and Repair arrived a 1/2 hour ahead of the appointed time of 10:30 AM. They covered areas around the fireplace to protect from possible debris. Then Martin inspected and they cleaned the fireplace and chimney. The cost of cleaning was $159.00. Then an added $40.00 to seal 2 places - the top of the chimney and around the gas pipe that comes into the fireplace. We would highly recommend Hale's Chimney Cleaning & Repair LLC. They are very professional and knowledgeable. The price was very reasonable

They showed up to quote a fence replacement on time (we had a difficult time with other fence companies even completing the quote process when they said they would). The fence installation was high quality. This led us to ask for a quote for a complete patio remodel including a covered patio, outdoor kitchen, new decking. They weren’t the cheapest quote but worth it! The quality of workmanship met our high expectations. The project manager was responsive and communication was impeccable

We decided to go with Cisco Fencing to build our outdoor living space after they built our remote gate and fence. Based on quality and craftsmanship and after many other quotes from other company's Cisco fencing was the best choice for us. This was a big project and Cisco Fencing did an amazing job. We had different crews ( concrete, framing, electrical, masonry)for each step and Francisco was there every step of the way to ensure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. The project took 6 weeks to complete and perhaps would of been sooner if the weather permitting and Thanksgiving week. You have to remember to be patient and really be sure to know what you want and to be specific. Along the way we had to tweak a couple of things to get it right and Francisco was very accommodating which we really appreciated. Thank you Francisco and his entire crew for the beautiful outdoor space of our dreams

The technician who came to check out our gas fireplace was on time and friendly. He fixed the pilot light problem as well as cleaned up the glass and fireplace in general. That was fantastic! He also showed me how to take the glass off if I needed to clean it in the future. He said the unit was in great shape

Fantastic! Very professional job - looks brand spanking new! The back wall of our fireplace had deteriorated over time with cracked, loose bricks and mortar - it was a fire hazard and sure it would have not been up to code if we were to sell the house - Steve, Master Mason with Brick Doctor did a wonderful job removing the old wall and building out the new one. It was a lot of work and he completed the job in a single day. Will definitely use them again if we have any other brick repairs

Overall went very well. We're happy with the end result with remodeling our bathrooms, which included knocking out a wall and adding built-in shelves for the shower. Fireplace remodel was a big project with the stone work going from floor to ceiling and requiring scaffolding. Master Handyman helped find options for available inventory of stone as we had no idea how to approach selection and went above/beyond with helping to find a new and suitable gas fireplace system to install. They have also been very responsive and prompt sending contractors to fix minor issues post work within their 1 year warranty (and those issues have not recurred since they fixed.) Overall they know how to take care of the customer, be patient with issues and concerns, and will help with selecting and picking up parts too large for most people to get delivered or pickup on their own.
