Alan Bradley and the work he performed on our new solid wood front door was nothing short of amazing. He's one of those rare finds that leaves you thinking "I wish every repairman/contractor was like this". For one, he's just a pleasure to work with....very nice, very professional (punctual and responsive) and extremely knowledgeable about doors. We learned quite a bit about door installation and caring for doors while he was at our house. I had no idea how complex they can be! He did a beautiful job with the installation, which took approximately 6 hours to complete and included new ball bearing hinges, peephole, door knobs/locks and a door jamb security upgrade. He ran into a small issue when it came time to drill the hole for the peephole - the door started to splinter around the hole due to to wood being too dry. Alan went out of his way to find the perfect size washer that would conceal the splintering and look nice on the door. His pricing can't be beat for the work he did and the level of customer service he provides. We will definitely be using Alan again for future door installs and periodic re-balancing

I spoke with the owner of the company yesterday and told him what I wanted to have done. He gave me a time estimate which was spot on. He said that Kent would call me that evening, which he did. Kent reviewed my repair list by phone and made sure I understood the billing protocol and told me he would be at my door at 9 AM the next day. Kent arrived on time and worked fast and efficiently and finished my list ahead of schedule. He suggested that I purchase my items ahead of his arrival instead of my paying for his time to run to Lowe's for me. I trusted him to pick out the items that I needed and the prices were fair. I hate shopping at Lowe's because I get lost and wander and am never sure what is the best choice for my needs. I also thought I needed weather stripping for my front door. Kent was very honest and told me that my door was fine and the metal flashing was in good shape and I didn't need to do any repairs there. While Kent was at my house I started my next list of repairs and Kent was able to check in my attic to see if I had spare tiles for my kitchen and also tell me what kind of caulk to buy. I won't be so intimidated by Lowe's this time. Kent was not only very personable but also very professional. I felt perfectly at ease with him in my home. I am so glad to have finally found a wonderful handyman. Thank you, I am preparing for the next visit already. I got more than I expected for my money. I would recommend Kent and Handyman Matters to all of my friends. I also like the fact that they don't use subs

Rick did an outstanding job of not only the sales process, but also the implementation. He was punctual, professional, and went above and beyond the call of duty to replace our entry door from the 3rd garage to the backyard. He added foam insulation, made 2 trips to the local home store to purchase new trim and peep hole, and reset the alarm contacts and secondary security plates. Because of the open south and west facing orientation of the door, he recommended and installed a jamb saver frame material which was synthetic at the bottom to reduce future water damage. He gave us the options of either steel or fiberglass material for the door from Thermatru. We opted to try fiberglass this time

Wayne was very professional and easy to work with. He always arrived when he said he would and kept me advised about what was going on. He worked hard and didn't waste any time (such as talking on the phone). I had decided not to have him repair all of the ceiling cracks right now and instead thought of some other things I wanted done, so he is coming back next week with a couple of things he needs in order to finish. He does very good work and I am pleased with the results

The work was terrible. The knobs were installed but are not level with each other on the same cabinet. Some cabinets needed a smaller screw, but instead of telling us that a smaller length screw was needed, he just installed the knob - I now have to go to Home Depot to get smaller screws and swap them out. When he installed the peep hole, he splintered the wood on the outside of the door. He should have drilled a pilot hole and then used the circular bit part of the way through on both sides. This would have prevented the splintering. The pictures and mirrors were hung okay. The clocks were hung, however a bolt was used to hang one clock. As a result, when you attempt to open the clock door, the clock falls off the wall. I went to Home Depot and got a washer which solves the problem. He or his worker cracked the ceiling wall board when they were prep'ing for the attic flooring installation. After some discussion, he finally agreed to get his company plasterer out to fix it. The ceiling fans were the end of using this contractor. Of the 8, he installed 1 completely wrong - said it was a problem with the fan; we made him re do it and it worked. He put together the 2nd one wrong and when we told him he said he wasn't going to fix it. The 3rd one now flickers when you turn on the light. When he got to the 4th one he decided he wasn't making any money on this (and said as much) then stormed out of the house refusing to do anymore fan installations after he put the light fixture back up. When he put the light fixture back in, he said that the light was broken and we had to point out to him that it worked when he just took it down. He finally got it working, however he left the finial off. During the ceiling fan installation he blew the breaker switch several times. This was when we fired him. The contractor constantly lost his temper and yelled about the fans and everything else. When he orignally bid the project we told him several times that Hunter Fans were difficult to install and he might want to up his bid

Overall it went very well. Shane is very knowledgeable about what needs to be done and how to accomplish it; very professional; very personable. There was some miscommunication about expected results on the door jamb and he returned and was able to improve the original work; dependable and on time as the name suggests

on the inside of door when I mentioned to him that the door contact was not installed and he was about to put the alarm contact in the door frame, not installed. Installer took off the trim and then wanted me to sign a waiver of liability in case the alarm did not work. I said no and advised he was responsible for putting the alarm back. One of the installer's co-workers said that usually he drills a hold in the new door frame before nailing it in place to push the door contact through which the installer did not do. The door contact could not be put in because there was not enough room to push the door contact from inside the space where the sheet rock was and the door frame. I had to schedule for an alarm company to come out on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, to run a new wire and put the alarm contact back in. The installer said he was going to have to order a threshold extender again attempting to blame me for the wrong measurements on the door frame. Installer asked to use my power drill again since his was not working which was okay but a little odd. 6. Tuesday, October 25, 2011 - alarm company completed the repairs to the door for a total of $101. I called the installer and told him Friday, October 27, 2011, would be a good day to finish the door. The installer said he would call me and let me know when a good time would be. 7. Friday, October 27, 2011 - installer finally showed up around 1000 AM but I had to call the company to find out where he was. Installer told me that he was trying to round up another threshold extender because the one he had ordered did not fix the door. 8. Fridy, October 27, 2011 - I advised the installer I was deducting the $101 alarm company bill from his amount of $364. The installer did not understand even after I explained to him the circumstances regarding his mistakes. The installer also complained again about the measurements being off and the storm door having too many parts. The installer did not put in the peep hole stating he had forgot and did not caulk the door frame stating it was a painter's job and that he did not have a caulk gun. Installer said he did not charge me for drive time even though this was not mentioned in the original estimate. 9. Complaints on the work done by the installer. One, installer never initiated any phone calls with me. The phone calls he made to me were always in response to me having called him or his office. Two, the installer left the job and went to fix a busted water line for his boss. Three, the installer did not take the necessary precautions in attaching the door contact to the new frame resulting in me having to call an alarm company run a new wire and contact to the door. Four, the installer did not put in a peep hole which I requested. Finally, the installer did not caulk the door frame. 10. The overall quality of the work was good but the professionalism was way below standards and not acceptable

Larry called before he came and made some recommendations for what I might want based on what I was requesting. Larry arrived on time as promised and promptly got to work. He put in a peephole in an outer door, fixed a kitchen drawer that wouldn't close, and removed a chandelier, added a box to the ceiling for a ceiling fan, and installed a fan with lights and a remote switch for the fan. I used the Big Deal coupon, so I saved some money, but I think Larry is worth every penny. There was a charge for the materials he brought along, of course, but the charge was minimal. Before he came, he had suggested that I might like to have the remote switch installed, and I am so glad I took his advice! I couldn't be happier. He is very knowledgeable and appears to care a great deal about the quality of his work and about helping people out. He also gave me some suggestions for other things in the house that need attention and told me to call any time I might have questions about anything. I think he was in my home for 3 hours, but the ceiling fan job was quite involved, and he was working the whole time. He didn't charge me for a full extra hour, though, just 30 minutes, which I found a nice touch. Definitely a one-of-a-kind expert to keep on my list

Could not have gone better! Caleb showed up exactly when he said he would. Pulled out the old front door jamb (which had never been level since we moved in 20+ years ago). He custom fit the door we had ordered, installed the peep-hole, knocker, and automated combination lock on the front door. Prepped it for painting. He had his shop vacuum with him; so, he was cleaning as he went. When he was done, aside from the beautiful new door that actually closed and sealed, there was no trace that he had ever been there. Great job. The following week, I had him install a new back door for my patio. This one had a full-length blind insert (encased in glass). This allows for the blinds to be opened/closed/raised/lowered from a lever attached to the assembly. Absolutely great job there as well. Made sure everything was tight and working properly. Like the lock set on the front door so much, I had him install the same auto-lock combination on the back. After a couple of days, noticed that the back-door striker plate needed about another 1/8" room (dead-bolt was hitting it sometimes). Called him and he showed up early Saturday morning and fixed the problem in about 10 minutes. I could not be happier with the quality of the work provided. These doors have been a constant source of stress in this house for years. Not anymore. Thanks, Caleb. Would I recommend him to someone else? I already have :-

knows what he is doing. My two friends had used him and I am glad I did too. No job too small or too big.
We could not be more pleased! Jeremy was on-time for every appointment. The quality of his work and the attention to detail can not be beat! He has replaced our sliding door with French Doors, replaced the interior garage door and most of the interior doors. Jeremy has gone above and beyond and we will definitely hire him again when we replace the remaining interior doors
We bought double doors about 7 months ago in preparation of a remodel. Of course, it ran over, and the doors sat in our garage wrapped in plastic and covered with moving blankets. Until this week (11/2/22) I had zero reason to move them and risk damage, so they sat until we tried to install them. When we hung the doors and discovered the active door was cut 7/8" too narrow. The owner, Cole, stood behind their work and offered several solutions which I was open to all. Although I bought the doors in Houston, I had moved about 3-1/2 hours outside of the area. Cole had a crew working about 1-1/2 hours away and sent them to the rescue. They came with 2 new astragals to try and fix the doors. When they looked off, the crew removed the frame, cut off ~0.375" off each side, pulled the threshold and cut it so the inactive door latches would line up correctly. The installation crew fixed the problem without issue. I am unsure why there is a low rating on ANGI however, Cole and his team will get my future and recommended business to others for the outstanding work, the commitment to make things right, the professionalism and overall success of the beautiful doors I now have on our home. Thank You DOORMASTERS of Texas; outstanding job well done
They were prompt, efficient and professional. They were highly recommended and shall remain highly recommended. They functioned as a well organized team to get all of my windows and door installed in the time frame agreed upon!
I called the Overhead Door company in the morning, and my door was fixed that afternoon. Their employee was very courteous and professional. He was also very skilled and arrived to do this job promptly. That's why I highly recommend this company if you need new garage doors or just repairs.
My garage door was giving me some issues and it finally gave out. I contacted Fast Fix Garage Doors based upon the Angie's reviews I read. I contacted them on a Saturday morning around 9 am and they came out later that afternoon. Steve walked me through the issues and answered ALL of my questions with patience and knowledge. They worked with my schedule and replaced my doors in a timely manner and they look great. The professionalism, knowledge and punctuality with this Company is outstanding. Thank you for your service and help, greatly appreciated Fast Fix Garage Doors
Great job! He was very attentive to my concerns and listened to my questions. He explained more about garage doors and I learned what to look for. My door is running smoother and much quieter than I have seen in a long time. Will definitely call again!
From the beginning to the end, Ecoview did a fantastic job for us. Jim, the sales person, was great to work with. He followed up quickly whenever I had questions before the installation. He also made sure that our security system wiring would be handled easily so that I did not have to contact a separate electrician to deal with that. On installation day, Kevin, the supervisor, was excellent! He kept me informed every step of the way, and made sure that everything went smoothly with his team. They arrived exactly on time, and were done about an hour sooner than they had predicted. All in all, it was a perfect transaction. Ecoview was cheaper in price than some of the other companies I got estimates from, and I think their product is actually better. I highly recommend Ecoview. Work with Jim and Kevin if at all possible

What do customers in Fort Worth say about Peephole Installation?
I contacted Jon on a Monday, he came out on Tuesday. He installed the peep hole in the front door and removed an old microwave and installed the new microwave above the oven. The trim kit from the old microwave did not fit the new microwave but Jon worked very hard to make it fit.
