We worked with Johnny Frost to extend our knowledge about geothermal through several meetings. He provided us several options - to include the continued use of our heat pump with improvement to the duct work, a new electrical HVAC system or geothermal. He explained the benefits of each option, provided the statistical information for all options and gave us solid information and prices. Our initial intent was to convert to geothermal, but he provided several additional options at different costs for our review, so that we had all the information we needed to make a good decision. We went with the geothermal system - at a little higher cost than the two previous bids - but felt confident with the knowledge base that the Frost company held. Additionally, Frost offers a maintenance plan (labor and materials) at a VERY reasonable price. We are thankful that we chose Frost over the other two companies - even though the others were represented by 'engineers'. Frost knows his business about HVAC. They removed the old system and duct work, installed the geothermal system without flaw, drywalled and repaired the areas where the old system had been and left the whole area clean. They were responsive, professional, friendly and honestly concerned about providing the best service possible

My appointment was scheduled at 9:30 AM and the agent (Wes) arrived at 9:45 AM. He is very professional and shook my hand immediately upon entering and told me what was going to take place. The job took him approximately 75 minutes and he called me over a couple times to explain what he was doing and what impact it had on my GeoThermal unit. He was very familiar with GeoThermal systems, something that was hard to find when looking for a company to service my unit. Wes also recommended a couple of items to improve efficiency (digital thermometer), etc. I was quite impressed with the quality of work, quality of employee, and overall quality of the job. The quote was RIGHT ON TARGET with that was quoted over the phone. I would highly recommend this company based on this experience

The service was fantastic. My new unit was installed as quickly as possible and the work area was left clean afterwards. The service men were very courteous and knowledgeable. I have also used this company to repair geothermal heating and cooling systems for my boss and repair a wine room unit for another client. Their talent is phenomenal

Technician arrived on-time. However, he was not knowledgeable about my 17-year-old geothermal heat pump. He checked the parts of the system that he recognized. The technician found these problems: dirt on the motor, small loss of amps in the motor and the overall age of the system. The system was still performing at acceptable levels in regards to the temperature output and the technician recommended that the entire unit be replaced in the near future. The technician helped me schedule a follow-up appointment with a salesman who showed up on time and seemed more knowledgeable about our older system. He told us he would get back to us with an estimate for a complete air conditioner and heating system replacement and never did. This does not seem to be typical of the company's service and quality of work. We have used them in the past to replace our air ducts and were very pleased with the quality of the work

I had this company come out to provide me an estimate to add a geothermal heat pump and hot water generating system. As well as redesign and optimize ductwork in my existing home. My initial contact was with Elden Hampton who I believe is the owner of the company. He was initially responsive and came by within a view days to take a look at the house and discuss various options. I was provided with very nice marketing materials and I provided him a set of floor plans for the house so he could perform heat load calculations. After a couple of weeks I made contact again and was told that he was almost done with the estimate and would get back with me soon. After another week or two I contacted him again by email to let him know that regardless what was going on, I would like to get my floor plans back. He again reassured me that he was still working on my estimate and he would be finished and get back to me "very soon". I haven't heard from him again. It's been approximately 6 weeks since my initial contact with him. This company is highly touted by a Geothermal heat pump manufacturer and claims they are the "#1 dealer in Texas for the past five years" for WaterFurnace geothermal HVAC systems. Needless to say, I will not be using this company. I would also recommend that anyone looking to invest the amount of money required to have a geothermal hvac system installed not use this company either. To do so would be asking for problems

He made some suggestions to resolve my a/c problems but took a bit longer than I was willing to wait to provide me a written quote. ADVANCED AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE
We have two a/c units for our two story home, and the unit servicing the second story had been failing for a couple of years. We'd delayed getting a new unit while dreaming of a geothermal system, but we finally woke up and acknowleged that while geothermal is a very cool and attractive option, it was not going to fit our budget anytime soon. We'd had to add freon to our problem unit before and on a warm day in May when it was absolutely NOT cooling, we called on Advanced Air to come out to add freon once again, and also to give us a quote on a replacement unit. Tom Wilson is always very pleasant to work with and he came out to add the freon. It wasn't very hot the day he came out, but it was the next day and we realized that adding the freon did not resolve the issue. Mr. Wilson came out again and determined that it was a failed capacitor. We had a lovely new 14.5 seer Rheem installed the next week. It is incredible what a difference an efficient new unit makes; everyone is very comfortable and our electric bill is lower

They were professional and made sure they knew exactly what they would need to do by coming back to my home at least twice to go through every item needed to be redone They gave us a fair price also gave us options if we wanted to do certain items at a later date. They did not take advantage of us which many do living in the size home we have in the Hamptons They were neat on time. Finished when they said they would and no hidden fees at the end of their job like many others try to take advantage of you They took. We were quite happy with the work Devard's did on our 1922 bungalow to bring it up to code back in 2000. We only had $10,000 to spend on a complete heating system (the house had space heaters) for a 2500 square-foot two-story house, and complete rewiring from knob-and-tube--plus some plumbing pipe replacements, additional ceiling fans, servicing two huge attic fans--and probably more stuff that I can't remember. They came in under budget, and everything has worked since, except for the problem with the furnace. The guy who both supervised and performed a lot of the work is now in charge, and we'd definitely use them again. We're hoping they'll start dealing with geothermal heating/cooling so we can update our system through them

This is actually a review to cover 3 different visits, but I decided this company should be in Angies list. 5 years ago, I was looking to buy an existing home, and the home had a geothermal system for heat and A/C and I wanted it inspected before I buying the house. It took several phone calls to find a company that knew anything aboutthis system. Jerry Flores came out to give the system a full inspection, and he was very thorough. Found some minor issues, provided me with a list as prices which I felt were fair. A about a month later I did buy the house, so I called him back to take care of those issues, and his cost was exactly what he quoted. All I can say is that Jerry is dedicated to getting the job done. Several times I told him to take a break because it was hot in the attic. He just said thanks, I'm good and kept working until everything was fixed and back to running properly. He is definitely my go to guy for anything that has to do with my HVAC system

The entire installation went as promised. Mr. Schimnmel and his crew showed up when they said they would and did what they said they would. Mr. Schimmel made sure every question I had was answered clearly, thoroughly, and patiently; even the ones that were way beyond the scope of the project. I had a lot of questions. Mr. Schimmel and his crew were always polite, professional, and friendly. The installation was neat and clean. It certainly has the appearance of being professionally done. All debris was removed and the worksite was left spotless. Finally, I want to say that Keller Services' extremely fair quote, the workmanship, professionalism, and everything else about the project wouldn't mean anything if the system didn't work and work well. It does, in spades. It gives higher heating and lower cooling temperatures than the previous system ever did

He came that night and looked at it and came back the next day and fixed it. He does a good job. There was a cost for labor, the part was under warranty. I don't remember how much the labor was; 100 bucks, may be. It was pretty reasonable

John Paul Ary came to my house and gave my an informative assessment and bid on new AC/Heat system. Help me to make wise decisions on what product to choose and to add a return. Had a Rheem rebate ($800) available which took the price down to $6,400 when I receive it. I had three estimates from different companies and he won out due to great price, Brand familiarity, and sensible answer to all questions. Since my current AC was limping in this 103 heat, he book the work promplly. Work day: arrived on time. Willingly made all adjustments and corrections I asked for (move the furnace so that we can get up/down attic stairs, etc). They worked here from 8:30 to about 2pm and it was done. Clean up all. Will return w/ rebate in 10 days from Rheem. ARY Co also sells year supplies of air filters at great price. I highly recommend them

Bottom line first - I am extremely pleased with the quality of the job and the attention to detail. Installing geothermal heating and cooling is a challenging and large job, and this company has it down to a science. I have very high standards and AJR met and exceeded them. For example, everything was neatly tied down and ducts were superbly sealed. They use state of the art materials. I could not wait to turn the system on. Luckily it was warm enuf for air conditioning and the cooling power is instantaneous and beyond anything gas or oil heat generates. Now that I've turned the heat on, I am equally impressed. From beginning to end, AJR took care of all the details. They were patient with me as I asked many questions along the way. I highly recommend them

Let a message for Christian around 7:00am and heard back from him within 30 minutes. Despite an already full schedule he said he would work me in and gave an estimated time of 11:30 am. Shortly after 11:00 Christian called and said he was on the way to my house. Christian was polite and highly professional. He quickly got to work and within 10 minutes he came back to me and informed me of his initial diagnosis: he was very upfront on the cost and explained that after the first part was replaced there was a risk of another possible problem and that cost as well before proceeding. He had the part on his truck and had it fixed in another 10 minutes; fortunately, it only took the one part to get things up and working again. I appreciated the prompt, courteous, professional service that I received and the honest, upfront communication throughout the process. Price was very fair; service call parts and labor totaled $218. Christian and Altex Refrigeration will be my first call every time for AC service

We did go around with the contract. In the winter, the heating system stopped so I had no heat and then the company that did the air conditioner was on vacation. Daffan had to pay extra to get the company to work during the holiday to finish the work. They shipped the unit to Dallas and Daffan had to go and pick it up and not wait on the local transit. I just don't feel the unit is being very efficient. The unit does cool and heat but the energy efficiency I don't feel I have seen any results.
