Can't recommend Morton Clary highly enough!!! A great experience with him, and we gave him some challenges. We needed our hall closet hardwoods refinished and the hall leading into the closet needed to have the old vinyl stripped off and the hardwoods underneath to be refinished. And both had to match the living room hardwoods that connected to them. It wasn't easy, especially since Morton discovered yet another stubborn layer of vinyl to be peeled back underneath the first. But he did an absolutely beautiful job and I'm thrilled to finally have continuous hardwoods from my closet to my hall to my living room. Next he had to install pre-finished hardwoods in our "office" room which had 1950's linoleum in it. We chose to install over it rather than attempt to remove it, and once more, Morton did a beautiful job. He has an artistic eye and mixed the boards up so that they looked as natural as possible. Again, they match beautifully with the pre-existing hardwoods in the rest of the house. And Morton was so helpful in picking out hardwoods that would match our old ones as closely as possible (other floor people we contacted were uninterested in helping us, just told us to go out and buy some), got us a good deal, and even brought them over to acclimate for a couple weeks before he put them in. He was on time with his estimate and very reasonable. And he was punctual and meticulous in his work methods. Everything you could want in a trustworthy floor specialist. We hope to use him again soon

I couldn't have asked for a better floor professional. We needed the entire downstairs floor refinished, which was approximately 1,150 sq. ft. Daniel did an amazing job sanding the floor with very little dust left behind! Due to his dust contained sanding equipment, I could literally walk in while it was being sanded and not feel like I was breathing in all the dust! The stain also matched our upstairs flooring (which is what we wanted). He was very attentive throughout the process (answering emails in a timely manner, showing me the process as it went along, etc.). He started the job earlier than planned and finished relatively quickly! The end result was exactly what we wanted and looks absolutely perfect! I would highly recommend him to anyone needing any kind of floor refinishing

They refinished 3 rooms, 3 steps, and a hallway in our house. It was a very dusty process but they finished in 2 days as promised. Joel, the foreman, did a nice job mixing the stain to go with our existing door and staircases which we did not refinish. The floors look like new, and the color is beautiful. The only issue we encountered was a miscommunication about the starting time among the crew, We would use them again since they did a great and efficient job

Mezory Hardwood Flooring
My experience with Farsad Mezory was top notch from beginning to end. He provided me a quote right away, even drove all the way from Plano to Denton the very next day for the quote. His price was below the other quotes I received. He and his helper refinished all of the wood floors in my 1930's house, and they look great! He was clean, making sure the dust was kept to a minimum. He even let me switch out the stain I had chosen; upon testing some of the stain it looked darker than we expected, and no questions asked Farsad made the change, even though he had already purchased the original color. My only concern, and it is minor, is that he may use a lower cost poly than others - which may be why his price is lower. He mentioned to me that he was going to use Duraseal polyurethane but he ended up using Masterline, which I believe is a cheaper poly. I trust that the Poly he used is commercial grade, but it was different that what we had discussed. We shall see how the finish wears. That said, if there are any problems, I am 100% confident that Farsad would take care of me. He is a genuinely nice person, and honest and forthright. I would recommend his company to anyone that wants conscientious service at a great price

We hired Home Front to do a complete remodel of our home office including floors, drywall, paint, electrical, built-in cabinets and a custom desk with quartz top. We also had them replace approximately 1500 sq.ft of tile and carpet with new "luxury vinyl planks" throughout the downstairs. We liked them so much, we also added on replacing the tile around our fireplace. This was our first project with Michael and Home Front and we couldn't be more pleased. They were not the cheapest bid we got, but their model of keeping the same team on the job throughout the project is fantastic and was totally worth the small premium we paid. Here are the highlights of our experience: • The team showed up when they said they would. We agreed on a start time of 7:30am and over the 2-week project, the guys were sitting out front at 7:25am waiting - never once being late, despite having to drive over an hour in traffic to get to our house. • Roman and Alex were fantastic. My wife felt completely comfortable being home alone with them and we had no reservations leaving them in our home alone. After a few days, we even gave them a key so they could come and go without working around our schedule. • Roman and Alex did amazing work. I am extremely OCD and any time I pointed out small nit-picks, they quickly corrected it and never made me feel guilty about it. • The team was very conscientious and treated our home like a home, not a construction site. They did everything they could to manage the dust and debris problem. Covering furniture, spraying down the floor before grinding and using a shop vac to keep the dust under control as much as possible. They cleaned up every day before they left and kept things neat and tidy. • After the first week, it looked like we were behind schedule (we had a thanksgiving deadline) because tearing out the old tile was more difficult than expected. Without me asking, Michael sent an extra crew to help get us back on track. They finished on-time. • The final bill was exactly what they said it would be – we made one small change request towards the beginning of the project but other than that, we paid exactly what Michael quoted us. He did not nickel and dime us to death for every little thing that wasn’t specifically called out in the quote. Every single person we dealt with at Home Front from the owner Michael to the team doing our remodel and even the billing and ordering personnel were top notch professionals who were extremely focused on making sure we were happy. The old adage that you get what you pay for couldn’t be more true here and we will definitely use Home Front again

Carl helped us with renovations and upgrades to an 85-100 year old house that suffered from lots of neglect and a fair amount of incompetent work done 4-5 years ago by a house flipper. I chose Carl because of the caliber of his work, his references (many here on Angie?s List) and his multiple areas of competency. He was booked up but we decided to wait to get the "full service" skill set he offered. It was a good choice since we discovered issues in this house every turn of the way and he was able to "roll with the punches" and offer practical solutions at each discovery. If you are looking for a fellow who knows how things should be done in most any area of a home and can deliver a craftsman product, Carl is the fellow you want on your project. In many ways, he?s a ?Holmes on Homes? for the Ft. Worth area. I worked alongside him for almost 10 weeks and can attest to his skills, his craftsmanship and his critical eye. He excels at custom woodwork and finish carpentry and ?gets it? in most every aspect of home renovation and upgrades. Our project included custom built fireplace surround and adjacent bookcases (magnificent result), miscellaneous built-in lighting additions (excellent) and internet/cable TV wiring throughout (good), restoring textured walls to either a smooth finish or a soft Spanish trowel (excellent), replacing and modifying framing for front and back doors (very good), replacing a living room ceiling (magnificent), crown molding throughout the house (magnificent), new molding around windows and doors (magnificent), floor restoration (magnificent) and painting (magnificent). Carl?s contractors for the floor and painting work are the best I?ve ever used. We also constructed a full kitchen in a rental apartment in less than a week?s time using prebuilt cabinets and custom laminate (very good). And along the way we corrected incompetent electrical and plumbing work, supported a failing ceiling, added roof supports and improved attic ventilation. If there is a negative in the whole experience, Carl gets booked up quickly and handles too many separate projects at once, overloading himself with commitments, leaving his team to handle routine work with good, but less than craftsman outcomes and injecting an inefficiency in the entire process as he shifted from job to job trying to please everyone. When you get Carl?s concentrated attention, the outcome is magnificent and the cost is fair (but not cheap). He's worth waiting for if you have a complicated renovation or upgrade at your house AND you appreciate quality

Dobson did a tremendous job. They clearly explained my options (wood type, finish type, stain color, etc). They showed up on time with a large crew and went to work. Prior to staining the floor, they provided several test stains until I was pleased with the results. After completion, one follow-up visit was required, which was promptly scheduled and performed. This was part of an insurance claim. I cannot comment on cost, as I did not see the bill. However, I have only excellent things to say about Dobson. Theirs was the only work completed on time and to the desired level of quality

D&G's sales person was very professional, knowledgeable and available to step in at any time we needed him. The crew also did a great job, they were respectful and they worked - literally - from sunup to sundown to get the job done quickly. As you always have, there were a couple small things: refuse that leaked into our attic and also a leak afterward. The refuse was picked up within 30 minutes of the time I asked them to fix it and they had people at our house the next morning after a hard rain (that revealed the leak) to fix it. You can't ask for more than that

I was very pleased with my experience with TLC. I was frantic to find someone to come out same day to clean up carpet stains left by our dog and to remove the odor. Our dog had gotten into something that did not agree with her tummy and left us quite a mess on our carpet. TLC was extremely responsive and said they could send someone out same day between 12-2pm. The technician arrived shortly after noon and immediately got to work. I also liked the fact that when I called and when the technician came they both informed me that there is no guarantee of pet stains coming out 100% and that they could reappear. They wanted to be honest with me of this fact since many companies will not tell you this. After about 20-30 minutes I was asked to check the location and whether I was satisfied. The stains were gone and the smell was gone! I was very pleased with the service, the professionalism of the technician, and the price. I would definitely use them again

The worker called ahead to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived he was very polite and professional. He assessed the work, and began immediately. He explained what the job would entail, approximately how long it would take and how long we needed to allow it to dry before use. He was very thorough in both the cleaning of the granite tops and slate floors, and very detailed with the sealing of both. My counter tops look new, and my slate floor looks spectacular! Also, I hadn't realized just how badly our tub surround needed recalking till I saw the finished work! We're extremely pleased with all the results

I joined Angies list specifically to shop for someone to do this work. I called and got quotes from several companies before selecting Restoration Flooring. My refinished hardwood floors look SPECTACULAR. Better than brand new! We were going to move next year. Now....maybe not! Alan, the owner was very pleasant to deal with and very responsive to all my calls. The pricing, scope of work and optional services on the quote were easy to understand and fully explained. The crew that did the work has been with Restoration Flooring for many years and it showed in the quality of their work. As an example: some of the providers I talked to required removal of the baseboard or molding but Restoration told me they could sand right up to the molding and at most I would have to do some paint touch up. Sure enough, that was the case. We painted one area of baseboard that was in need of paint anyway but that was it. I am writing this review because I believe in the power of the positive referral. We see so much negative information these days that it's nice to give a complement where one is earned.
