Efficient Home Solutions Inc
Perfect from start to finish. I called on Friday to get an estimate on insulating our attached garage. Dave, the owner, and Jeff came out the very next day, which was great because my husband was there to ask questions that wouldn't occur to me. They looked at everything and pointed out areas that were not properly insulated over the house as well, and also that the furnace filter was shot, something I would never have even thought about on my own (I had a boiler back in Colorado). We sat down and discussed options. No hard sell, just good information. They were able to come two days later and complete the work. I got a text telling me they were 15 minutes away and another telling me the job was done. Jeff arrived a little later to install the thermostat. Dave gave a follow-up phone call to make sure all was well. He also shared the website where you can buy filters in bulk and save serious money. I'm really happy with this company, and I'm liking Texas a lot more now

Climate Doctors
I had used climate doctors back last November to clean out our air ducts with another Angie's List deal, and they did a wonderful job with that. That deal came with a free energy audit. I forget the auditor's name (real nice guy); but I ended up giving up on getting the audit because you have to schedule him a couple of weeks out, and something always came up (he was sick once and had to reschedule last minute, I had a work conflict and couldn't be there, ice storm). This deal, we purchased explicitly for the audit. The auditor was still booked up, forcing us to schedule weeks in advance. The first time he was supposed to perform the audit, he got sick and called the day of (I can't fault him for that, but remember being upset having to juggle my schedule again). The day he showed up, he was on time, polite, pretty knowledgeable. Made a quick (30 minute) walk around the house. Didn't take any measurements or pictures, but told me about some of the structural issues with the house regarding energy efficiency (high ceilings are hard to cool. The eves of the house are heat traps. Etc...). He then gave me some boiler plate information he had printed out about energy efficiency and home safety, and things to do to make the house more efficient. Then he mentioned a couple of solutions / products his company provides to help make the house more energy efficient. I was a little disappointed that he didn't really measure anything, or have FLIR pictures to look at; but for $60 it was probably a fair deal

Fox Services installed my new Trane Air Conditioner and Heater in 2006. They have been servicing it since. Richard has been in my attic several times, has responded to phone calls on the weekend including Sundays, and has been readily available to drop in and take a look at my system as needed. A couple of years ago the air conditioner stopped responding to the thermostat, and Richard found the problem right away, the AC condensate line had plugged with dust, the overflow tray had filled activating the floater switch. He cleared out the water, improved the drain line to eliminate the problem in he future, and charged me quite reasonably. Fox Services and owner Richard McClure have been safe, reliable, and friendly

The customer service was way beyond expectations. We had a difficult installation requirement. Our system was also no longer up to code due to the time that had passed from the last installation. We obviously went out for bids. We contacted multiple top rated companies. Sanders was recommended by a friend, so we contacted them as well. They were competitive in the current market for this type of job. They were not the highest or the cheapest. They were in line with all bidding. They asked questions and came up with ways to keep things going while we waited on custom parts to be produced. They communicated on a regular basis. They made multiple visits. They were always on time. The staff was professional and respectful of the Covid situation we are in. The full retrofit & installation went smooth, with no surprises or added costs. These people really made us feel like we were their most important customer

Perfect. AC was restored in 20mins. Technician was on time as agreed and called before arriving. Tech was clean, courtesy and a true professional. He replaced the failed capacitor with a warranted American made part and even silenced a nuisance rattle the unit was making. He also checked the freon level as well as the general health of the unit. He did not try to push unneeded services or extras upon me and he answered all my questions. I definitely will be using them again in the future

It went well. They contacted me the day before to get information on the existing water heater so they could arrive with all necessary parts at which time they would provide a quote and I could agree to move forward. They called me when on the way. I had multiple services being done at the same time. They were accommodating of the HVAC and garage door work that was already under way. When they arrived, I showed them what i wanted to done and they provided an estimate. Once I agreed they got right to work. Two of them continued to work while the third went to get a few more items. Once all work was done, they tested everything and cleaned the areas they were working in. I was happy with the work and how responsive they were to get the work done on my schedule

It was the Friday after Thanksgiving during a pandemic COVID-19. Our radiant heat was not working in the whole house, and it was freezing outside. I made four phone calls and submitted a request via Angies List. I immediately received a text from Santa Fe Heating and Cooling Services, that said they were with a client and would call me as soon as they were done and what did I need. Nobody else returned my calls or messages until the following week! David Aguirre was at our house an hour after we texted. Great, honest person. Figured out the problem, fixed the issue and was very clear in communicating and showing us the problem. Was so impressed that we hired him to replace our hot water heater. Once again he showed up on time when he said he would, communicated with us every step of the way, and explained and showed us what he was doing and why. All quotes were fair and reasonable, no surprises. We are definitely sticking with Santa Fe Heating and Cooling Services! Thank you for being honest and reliable

The guys from Cody Plumbing showed up earlier than scheduled on a Saturday morning and within 45 minutes had determined the cause of the problem and fixed it without major expense. We have a boiler and storage tank that apparently is not a common set-up but they were able to figure it out and fix the problem. I was extremely pleased and plan to use them again when I have plumbing or water heater problems.
