This company was nothing but professional from the first contact until the day the job was completed. If they told me they would be there at 9:00a.m. they would be in my drive at 8:50a.m. They actually ended up starting the work a full week earlier than originally projected. Each day they would begin by laying tarp from the entrance of the garage to the work site in order to prevent any residue being tracked through my house. They were quiet, professional, patient with my husband's propensity to worry, and sensitive to the special needs connected to working in our house. At the end of each day, they cleaned up the work site of all trash, tools, etc, and rolled the tarp up on their way out. They communicated with me each step of the way, and were available by phone even after hours. The work was done in a timely manner, the only delay being due to a tardy plumber. The shower is beautiful, and perfect in terms of meeting the needs that we have. I have already referred a friend to them, and will use them again in the future. Of all the contractors I talked to about this project, I felt that the Putting on the Fix people were most attentive to listening to what I wanted and did their best to deliver exactly that. I will definitely use them on future projects!

It was really old and high up and I couldn t get to it. I was looking for someone who had a latter that was tall enough. It was a last minute deal so I just started calling people who were in my zip code on Angie s List. She came out quick. It was a job I could have done if I had the latter and it was a pretty simple deal. She did a good job and I was real happy with her service.

I called to get an estimate for one of my clients homes, they are disabled and we get funding to do Minor Home Modifications from the state. We were just calling to get a estimate and he refused service. Now I am not sure why, is it because he dosen't like disabled people??? Or just the state funding? Something shady is going on here.

Clear Creek Home Improvements

I enjoyed working with Clear Creek Home Improvements on my project. They were careful to listen to what I wanted in my shower remodel and made suggestions on how it could be better. I was especially looking for disability accessibility options in the new shower build. But while remaining beautiful. The work was scheduled and they were always on time and on budget. Everyone was very polite and the place was cleaned up at the end of each day, I will be using them again for future projects.

Larry is hard working, and the integrity he has can be easily seen. He always thinks about what will be the most cost effective way to go about doing the work. He is an honest guy who will not pressure you into performing a service that is not needed. In fact, he has full of money saving tips that the homeowner can do on their own. His communication before and after the job is second to none. He makes sure his customers are satified. I will call Larry again.

A-Quality Home Repair

Perfect and safe set up and cleanup. Derrick did more than expected by hand trimming tree limbs from gutter, taking pictures, giving suggestions, washing siding pieces. Even my very particular old dogs liked him, didn't bark once. I'm disabled, and he asked more than once if there was anything else he could fix for me today before he had to leave for next appointment. Discussed a couple of future projects I may have and suggestions for those. Overall Very Pleased. Thank You.

Hiring a service contractor can be an expensive and sometimes the results are not very positive. This was a very positive experience. Steve came on time as agreed, he worked hard and efficiently and got through the list in less time than anticipated, and is willing to come back at a later date to do some more work to complete the full days work. I am disabled and have limited mobility, and I was impressed at his willingness to do even small tasks. (Grease the garage door so it didn't squeak!) Everything he repaired/replaced is working beautifully. One task required purchasing a connector that I had not been able to find, and he was able to purchase and install it very easily. He is obviously a professional. He brought all his own tools and took the trash with him. I will use his services again without hesitation.

The process could not have been easier. Two guys showed up one day and took out our old bathtub and plumbing and the plumber showed up a little later and installed the plumbing we needed. The next day the two original workers returned and had the whole operation completed by 4:00 p.m. And they cleaned up everything! It is now a showpiece shower and my husband is delighted with it.

George Patee
5.0
I have known George Patee personally and worked with him since I was a teenager here in Denton, Texas in the 1970's. For nearly half a century George Patee has been my and quot;Go-To-Guyand quot; on several projects. I've seen him build a house from the ground up, so he knows everything about construction, both residential AND commercial. He was trained in carpentry in college in Oklahoma, (but I don't hold that against him). In fact, I worked with George building several of the buildings that were destroyed at Selwyn School fire and have seen him since go back to help in the aftermath and recovery efforts. He has come to my aid on many occasions building barns and mending fences, but hist true talent lies in his dependability. Let me put it to you this way: people ask me why I call him, and quot;Colonel Pateeand quot;. It is because he has and quot;Drilledand quot; it into me- and quot;Reid, Do it the Right way or Hit the *@#$ Highwayand quot;. So just stay out of HIS way - George Patee WILL make it Happen ! Bartlett Home Care & Repair
5.0
Since we have been trying to get a handyman out here for months, the fact that Mr. Bartlett was quick to respond to our inquiry and on time for the scheduled estimate day, we were already partially satisfied. Due to my being disabled, a lot of the items we wanted done were very minor chores that many "handyman" simply don't do. However, Mr. Bartlett informed me that he has several wheelchair-bound clients and so fully understands their needs. On the day scheduled to do the work he showed up on time, started with the outside stuff in order to allow me to get showered and dressed undisturbed, he then came inside and figured out a logical progression through the jobs in the house and progressed rapidly through them. He had the tools, experience, and made short work of a pile of jobs that had been frustrating us for so long. Not only do I feel better in knowing that I now have someone I can reliably call on when I have small things that just need to be done, but I also intend to have Mr. Bartlett give me estimates on a couple of larger projects around the house, as I now feel that I have found someone that I can trust with such jobs.

Business Description: Hi, my name is Vernon Knapp. I'm the owner of Alliance Remodeling. I've been in the construction business since I was eighteen. I started out as a remodeling helper after high school learning the in's, out's and in between's. There is something I learned along the way, besides how to fix stuff and make ugly houses beautiful, is no matter how long you've been doing something there is always something to learn. I've been on my own for seven years now and have seen a lot. I also attended ITT Tech in Arlington for Drafting and Design and Construction Management. I try to give the most accurate bids on jobs but no-one has ex-ray vision to see what obstacles might be waiting to be revealed. I will work with you diligently on all work and problems we are likely to encounter. I have trusted employees that do great work, that's why I keep them. I have sub-contractors to do all work that requires a license in Texas such as Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC etc. I can change out and/or repair light fixtures, wall plugs, light switches, faucets, toilets, sinks, valves, and other smaller things that don't require a license. I can work with you and around your schedule if needed / possible. With the economy the way it is I understand most people are on a budget....so am I. I can adjust billing to fit your needs in most cases. I do have a heart for our disabled Veterans and Elderly so I do give them special rates. I hope this has helped you with making a well informed decision. I look forward to earning your business and hearing from you If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call. Thanks for any opportunities in advance.

Recent Review: This was a major remodel of numerous areas – master bath, upstairs jack and Jill bath, and two bedrooms that were badly in need of repair. The project took approximately two months once the work began. It included demolition, foundation work, installation of cabinets, plumbing, wiring, painting, flooring and more. The master bath redesign called for a relocation of the shower that involved the removal of a possible load bearing wall and re-engineering of the plumbing. Gary has a great understanding of all areas of construction and is able to discuss all facets of the work in detail. He made multiple visits ahead of time to discuss various approaches and to deliver accurate estimates. The project was challenging regarding logistics, time-line, and securing of material. The numerous individual contractors included remodelers, plumbers, electricians, painters, tile layers, engineers and decorators. All were concerned with quality and had worked with Gary previously. Several times, additional contractors were utilized when the initial contractors were on other projects – that is to say that Gary has multiple contractors to call on. In addition, I hired an architectural engineer to evaluate the removal of the possible load-bearing wall, who agreed with Gary’s initial assessment. The two contractors who did the bulk of the work, and were there the entire two months were terrific to work with – conscientious, personable, and attentive and had broad expertise. Any time there was a question of how I wanted something done, they consulted me. An example would be placement of towel racks or how high to install a toilet paper holder. They had enough experience to understand men and women’s different preferences. At times, they guided me away from my original suggestions to better solutions. As expected in a project this large, there were changes made after the work began. Examples would be change in location of outlets, type of tile, etc. At one point after the wiring and support for a ceiling fan were set, I decided to move it – the crew had no hesitation doing it. Gary was at the work site consistently, overseeing the work. He was great about answering the many questions I had and accommodating my preferences. The master shower needed disability safety grab bars. Gary has a good understanding of the specific safety criteria. There were numerous times that called for creative problem solving. One example was the change of placement to the master toilet door. Another contractor had said the door placement could not be changed due to the available framing space, but Gary made it work. My own approach to this project was to be very involved, to the point of going to stone fabricators to approve final granite countertop pieces, individual placement of floor tiles, ordering mirrors, choosing paint and fixtures. I had the resources to order my own plumbing fixtures and a unique shower bench. Gary and his crews were very accommodating in my desire for close involvement and input. In one instance, I didn't like the approach the cabinet maker took to how the drawers closed (the use of magnets to provide a soft close – which is currently the most popular.) This took a visit to the cabinet maker to discover. Gary's crew was able to modify the drawers to my satisfaction. I’d like to share several pieces of insight I got from this. First, I had an interior decorator who helped make choices that were invaluable. Second, I had the time and opportunity to do a lot of research on things like types of fixtures, surfaces, and toilets. One example was a unique fold up shower bench that took me awhile to find. Although it took a lot of time and effort, I’m glad I did. A contractor can’t know every possible new product available (e.g. lighting fixtures,) or know what your particular preferences are unless you know what options are available and tell him. I’d advise the customer to do as much of your own research as practical. I wish I could have loaded the “before” photos to show the dramatic difference – the spaces truly have been transformed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Gary again and when the time comes to remodel my kitchen, will call him.
