For the services that I needed Ray was the best person for the job. He was attentive to detail in his work and took care that my house was thoroughly fixed. He ensured I had a properly functional and safe house to live during the hurricane especially, since I have a disability and I am confined to a wheelchair. His integrity and professionalism is reflected in his work. I was very lucky to be recommended Ray by Angie's List as a Handyman like him is very rare to find. I would recommend him with great confidence to anybody to help remodel their house to transform it to a dream house

My son's birthday is today andhe wanted to have his party in his apartment, which was a complete dirty mess. We had scheduled cleaning with another service (not Gem) which was a no show at the last minute on a Saturday afternoon; I needed to be a work and couldn't help. Richard answered his phone promptly and, when I explained the situation to him, promised to help, even if it meant doingt the job himself. Richard was true to his word and arrived at my son's apartment Saturday afternoon and worked late into the night to render it spotless. Not only did Richard do this, but he did it happily and with tremedous heart - as he said, "happy to do something to help people.": Richard's service more than lives up to his name, as he is a gem and his work is 4 star. I am making arrangements for Richard's firm to regularly clean my son's apartment so that we can avoid crises like this one. I rarely write unqualified reviews like this one, but in the instance of Gem Janitorial Services our review is enthusiastic and unqualified. I made a desperate call on a Saturday afternoon and found a gem

I am a Social Worker for adults with mental/physical disabilities that live on their own in the community. One gentleman in particular owns a condo and needed to have some work done. I read the Angie's List reviews and selected Jim Vogler of J & B Home Services. I explained my client's situation and needs and Jim came out and did an estimate. The work was done in a professional and expedient manner. Jim was a pleasure to do business with, and I was extremely impressed how understanding, patient, and caring he was with my client. Jim has come out to my client several times and has done several jobs for him. Jim has told me that he has "learned more from him" than my client has from him.Jim is the only handyman my client wants to use, and I will call him when I need work done in my own house!!!!Thanks Jim for being such a cool guy

The next day, shortly after 12:00 noon, another carpenter, highly qualified, spent a few minutes studying the door and trying to come up with a strategy to fix it. To my incredible relief, he was able to get it done and the emergency exit door for my wheelchair is now working wonderfully well!!! Better than ever - he also checked out for me the door from my kitchen to the garage which was a simple wooden door but did not close unless I pulled hard towards me. He fixed the opening enlarging it a little, and bam! as good as new. I thank God (and Angie's List) for letting me come across such incredibly good, responsible and caring people. Please realize they do not usually make small repairs such as mine, but more like re-building bathrooms, extensions, kitchens and so on. Due to my disability, they made an exemption and came to my aid. Yes, God bless them all! :) Thanks so very much, Vivia

Cannot recommend highly enough. This is a secondary home that my disabled sister lives in so I was really at the mercy of the company we found through our insurance agency. To begin with they handled everything!!! We were not in town so after my sister moved to her in-laws, they came and packed every last thing up in the home from every drawer and closet throughout the home. Then they ripped out carpets, walls, bathroom fixtures etc. They contacted a mold remediator that took care of that problem. Then the work began on the house. We only took one trip to Florida to pick out paint, flooring and fixtures and then left them to finish up. They unpacked everything and the house looks amazing. They held my hand through the entire process and pricing was so incredibly fair and it never deviated even when unexpected issues arose. I felt they treated me like family not just a job. Honestly, couldn't have been more satisfied. Coming from NY, I honestly was expecting this to be a nightmare based on what you read and stories you hear. My husband tends to be a little bit cynical and even he wound up saying how unbelievably professional and honest they were. Anyway...I don't usually do reviews...I expect what I pay for...in this case...I got much more than that. Ross Brothers and Frank Passero, my contractor go above and beyond and actually care about the work they perform. You will not be disappointed...I am not sure how I got so lucky to find them but I also owe a debt of thanks to my insurance agent who knew of them and recommended them to me. So glad I listened. Oh...and since this was partly an insurance job, they even handled that by getting me an insurance mitigator ( I think that is what he is called) so that I would get what my insurance policy entitles me to

Tom Southern - Carpenter

I am very pleased to write this recommendation for Mr. Thomas H. Southern of Tom Southern Builder, LLC – Carpentry and Contracting. I called and talked with two other Angie’s List contractors, before speaking with Mr. Southern, about renovating the refrigerator cubicle in my kitchen to accommodate a newly purchased one. After talking with the other contractors, I decided to wait two weeks for Mr. Southern to do the work, as his schedule was not open until that time. I waited, with the new refrigerator blocking entrance to the kitchen and the old one taking up walking space. I chose Mr. Southern because of his professionalism, his understanding of my dilemma and his overall positive approach to undertaking the fixing my problem. He was not abrasive, impersonal or demanding of me in an already disturbing situation, but he solicited my help to help myself. During my wait, we communicated by telephone and e-mail, with several photograph attachments and discussions on the best way to approach this particular job. In my experience, Mr. Southern is a champion. He focused wholeheartedly on my project, exhibited excellent customer service and formed a client relationship in which I felt valued. Mr. Southern proved himself to be a highly skilled, knowledgeable and exceptionally talented carpenter, with superior client service skills. I will gladly wait until Mr. Southern is available to do any future necessary work at my home. With his fine interpersonal skills he can relate, exceptionally well, with a spectrum of diverse clientele. He personally helped me to experience a much more satisfying customer service occurrence then could have been anticipated. In this day and time, Mr. Southern is an extraordinary craftsman, and he approached my dilemma with a sense of urgency. Mr. Southern’s actions speak louder than words. His hands-on, practical approach moves his service beyond lip service--He walks it, talks it, lives it, and breathes it. Mr. Southern is a refreshing, insightful and pro-active carpenter who exhibited great passion, persistence and commitment to the excellence of his service. He focused on my total client satisfaction. Please convey my gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Southern for his incredible service to me, a Senior, disabled, widow. My overall favorable impression of Angie’s List is Mr. Thomas H. Southern! I find him to be a conscientious, and quot;Client dedicated”, exemplary representative of your business. I look forward to a continued, mutually beneficial relationship with Angie’s List service providers who can meet the stature of Mr. Thomas H. Southern. For me to take the time to write this honest review is very unusual but felt obligated to the rest of you looking at this company for any job you may need done. To Sum it up, this company was hired by my 80 Year old Mother to Renovate her 175 SQ Ft Bathroom. What was to take 2 weeks took over 3 months. Work done was Horrible and not complete. They took advantage of Seniors. I am the Son Jerry and live in another state so was unable to be there for this transaction. The sales person Omer Leibovitz was of course very nice to my elder parents and promised his company and workers were very professional and she would have a wonderful new bathroom and to get the look she wanted the cost was around $40,000. Work would be completed within 2 weeks. He required half the Money up front and another 35% mid way thru the job. After the first week they had the workers come in and tear the Bathroom down. Workers showed up at around noon each day and left around 3pm. Omer the sales person showed up again and talked my parents into giving him another 35% of the job cost. So they collected over $30,000 then they left the Bathroom torn up for over 2 months. The Sales Person promised my Mother everyday the workers would show up the next day but they never did. We did not even receive a phone call everytime we were promised workers would come back out to finish. I personally pleaded with Omer the sales rep to get the job completed due to the need to use the walk in bath for my parents. I told him that my Dad could not use the other shower due to his disabilities. This pleading went on for another Month. When the days the workers did show up it was never before noon and never past 3pm. and none of them spoke a lick of English. We had no way to communicate with them other than using a translator app on the phone Finally after threatening to take legal action work was again started and then one day they said they were done. I flew down a week after to visit and looked at the work they said they completed. It was shabby cheap looking unprofessional work. The walls all show patch work in the paint. None of the grout work is clean from tiles or metal. The Molding was not cut correctly. The workers just filled in gaps with caulking. The drawers do not close correctly on the vanity. The shower door does not close properly. Leave a 2" gap. The closest was not finished leaving rough edges and the door will not close properly. They were to install pin lighting and they put in Track lighting. The whole job is a nightmare One of the Owners Heim came over after I said I was going to take legal action. This guy came over with nothing but excuses but begged for him to make it right. He said he would call us the following Monday 9/19/22 with a schedule to fix the work. I never heard from him so I called him on Wednesday 9/21/22. He asked to give him 45 minutes and he would call me back. I have not heard from the Crook yet. After many false promises and statements I told these guys to just deal with our attorneys and not contact us again. Never use this company and if you decide to ignore my warning never give them money up front. I have nothing to gain by writing this other than hoping this does not happen to you. Full Service Corp

I was looking for a higher end contractor for quality work. I relied on previous reviews to call Full Service. Ariel came to my home and as I described to him what I wanted, he casually said that he would install the 2 additional medicine cabinets I was buying separately at no charge at the same time that he installed the one that he was creating for me. I thought it was a nice gesture and figured that although his prices are exorbitant, he was going to go the extra mile, so I chose to use him. He later denied ever saying that 1. There was an electrical box that needed to be dealt with from old sconce. He said he would cover it up with a metal plate. What? After I am paying all this money, you think I would really want an ugly metal plate in the middle of my brand new wall? He suggested no other option. So I called my electrician who came and rewired everything (so as to not need the metal plate) so that it was completely set up for Ariel's team, including entire bathroom wiring; all they had to do was install. Not sure why Ariel did not give me an option without metal plate in the middle of my wall, I had to call someone else, after all I was paying top dollar. 2. I told him that I wanted one sconce next to my vanity mirror, its a small space so I could see that 2 wouldn't fit. He suggested that I do one one each side of the mirror which I said I didn’t think would fit. He assured me they would, without even measuring first. After the bases were installed, it only left me 14 inches for a vanity mirror (there is no vanity mirror that small) So I had to have him remove the bases and cover them up with dry wall. Not only did he want me to still pay for that (the sconces my electrician wired) accused me of holding up the project (for his mistake??) 3. Shower tile: I was not aware that it was necessary to use metal strips (schluter) at the borders of porcelain tile. Upon installation I was shocked to see them start to put metal strips around the exterior of the shower, window, and niche. It gave it a very modern look, which is not what I wanted and changed the entire look of what I had envisioned. The men installing the tile called him to tell him that I did not want schluter around my tile, Ariel yelled, yes, YELLED at me that "You always need schluter around porcelain tile!! If you wanted something different you should have told me from the beginning !! This is industry standard!!" How would I know what industry standard is? This absolutely should have been discussed at the beginning. I then had to change the color of my vanity, Because L the schluter changed the look from transitional to modern. Again, I was accused of holding up the project. 4. I was supposed to have 5 recessed lights, but they only put 4. I asked for $150 credit (charge per light) He YELLED at me again that I should still pay since they had to remove the sconces (his mistake). He YELLED over me condescendingly "Fine! Fine! The customer is always right, right??” 4 I went into detail for seat for my disabled father to sit in the shower (he has a broken back and shattered pelvis). The seat was supposed to be 22 inches, and they made it 21. I told him that would not work, that it had to be ATLEAST 22 for my father. It was remade and immediately tiled over. I was assured it was 22 inches. Still to short!l At that point I asked for a credit. He scoffed at me that I would want a credit for an inch. He yelled at me "I’ve never had to work like this!” and "can't believe I wanted a credit for that" (only $100). Measurements are his business! 5. There was a payment due when the vanity was delivered. It's only 25 inches and for $2000 it had better be perfect right? Well the countertop is stained and vanity was put together with a bottom piece sticking out exposing an unfinished edge. I would not remit payment until issues were fixed. I got another call from Ariel YELLING at me again!! That my payment was due and they would fix those problems later! Well no, if you want me to submit payment for something it has to be done correctly, especially at that price! He told me that he was going to get the project finished no matter what the following day so that they did not have to come back and he wanted both the final payments then and then argued with me about how much he was going to charge me for the 2 medicine cabinets that they had created openings for but had not installed yet (the ones that he originally told me that he would not charge for). His guy came the following day to finish, I was sent a picture of the side of the counter top from far away, where it had looked like the stain was buffed out of the quartz, but sure enough, the stain is still there. The vanity piece that was sticking out too far with the unfinished edge showing was only painted, instead of repairing/cutting like it should have been done. The opening for the medicine cabinet over the toilet is off center and now when that medicine cabinet is delivered, I will have to pay someone else to fix it. The grout for the shower is cracking in several places after only two weeks, The plastering was poor, the vanity that I paid $2000 for was put together poorly and the expensive countertop is stained, the painting was poor. Ariel blew up on me several times, all I wanted was things to be done correctly. The bathroom looks good from a far, but when you get close up, the workmanship is poor and I will have to pay somebody else to come and repair several thing
IT WENT EXTREMELY WELL‼️ Once we made our decision to remodel the bathroom. We went on angieslist and found 5 contractors on a Sunday. Out of 5 only 1 called us and better yet, came to our home to listen to our detailed extensive goal for nearly 2 hours. He patiently listened to my wife's vision and then he insured us that he would 100% stand behind his work...(HE AND HIS ENTIRE CREW WERE SIMPLY AMAZING) Every little detailed was given 100% attention and they made our dream bathroom a reality‼️ This whole experience was a pleasure...We have future projects in mind and Pvten Building Contractor will definitely be given the job..
Very well. Arrived on time, explained work clearly, did work quickly and professionally and cleaned up after themselves. On the pricey side but work involved accuracy and knowledge of woodworking so it was somewhat specialized and NOT a job for a handyman. Cannot even tell where repairs were made. Neighbors impressed, too
I had originally set an appointment for Kevin to come and see the job and to discuss cost of project. He was punctual and Kevin came out as agreed, and gave me a price. Kevin installed 4 Disability Grab Bars and did an excellent job for a very Reasonable and Fair price. He was honest, easy to work with, punctual and very professional! He did a great job and I especially liked the fact that he was very neat and cleaned up after himself. Thanks Kevin!

I fount New Living thanks to Angie’s List reviews, and I am very happy I did. Dmitry was professional from day one to the end of the project. Very communicative throughout. Job was finished on a timely manner, and tenants were very happy woh the quality and the professionalism of Dmitry and staff. I had to hire several contractors in the Miami area previously, and this was the first time I worked with a company that was professional, reliable and charged reasonable fees

This is the BEST contractor you will ever find! We always heard that contractors don’t call back, don’t meet deadlines, don’t show up as agreed, etc. We first met with the contractor with the intention of renovating a bathroom. We ended up doing two full bathrooms, a brand new kitchen, the garage, all closets, house lighting, porch renovation and more! They are fantastic. They show up every day on time with no exceptions. We always knew what the scope of the work for the day, week and month was. The team is reliable, honest and very respectful. They became family to us! The pay attention to the minimal detail and the materials they use are the highest quality. I can’t say enough how satisfied we are! We just signed to now also do the driveway pavers. Highly recommended!!
