Toilet mechanism was broken. We found Darnell plumbing on Angie's list and they accomodated us right away. They used a toilet mechanism that is much more quiet than the original one and the sink drain, which has been slow for years works just like new. Mr. Darnell worked very efficiently and wasted no time. Tim Darnell will be our plumber of choice in the future.

He arrived during the time indicated, was professional and explained multiple options to address the problem and the corresponding cost and left with the assurance that I could call them any time I had a problem. Would definitely use again.

The plumber and his helper came on time. They evaluated the problems and began working on my main issue which was the clogged bathtub drain, showing me how to clean it out periodically and recommended using bleach to keep all of the drains clear. Two of my toilets were running occasionally and he recommended replacing the hardware in the tank on one of them. He showed me how it was spewing inside the tank and informed me that he would have to take up the toilet in order to properly repair it. The entire repair took no longer than 45 minutes. I was a bit dumb-struck by the cost of the bill and thought the cost of just clearing the clogged tub was exorbitant. That said, I felt that they did a good job and I especially liked doing business with a family-owned company that exuded professionalism. I would feel good about trusting them with a large job.

CURLY'S PLUMBING & BIG BLADE SEWER SERVICE INC

I was getting ready to move into a house and needed the water heater fixed ASAP. My realtor recommended Curly's because he had been happy with their installation of a tankless water heater. It was easy to make an appointment at the time I needed and the tech showed up on time. He installed a new thermostat control and thermocouple (parts which the previous owner had left behind). The water heater now works fine. This cost $175. Since he was here, I showed him the running toilet. He replaced the fluid master, flapper, and supply. Curly's gives a 25% discount on parts that they provide while doing work. This cost $116.25. (Yow!) I showed him another toilet that I was concerned about because of the corroded parts. It was currently working OK as far as I could tell, but I decided to have it rebuilt to forestall any future problems. He replaced the flush valve, bolts, gasket, fluid master, flapper, and supply. This cost $138.75. (Yow, again!) The next day I noticed the second toilet was leaking water onto the floor. I called it in and they sent the same guy right out to fix it. He had neglected to cut the plastic overflow tube to a level below the tank handle, so the tank was filling up and water was coming out the tank handle hole. After some time I noticed there was still water leaking onto the floor. I called again and a different guy came out. It turned out that water was leaking around the bolts. He seemed to have fixed it and left, but I had to call again within a few minutes and he came back and worked on it some more. The leak was fixed. After another day or so I noticed the toilet was running and one of the parts was making weird noises once in a while. I called again and they sent the first guy back out. He replaced the fluid master, since apparently the previous one he installed was defective. All of this took place over the course of 6 days. There was no charge for the recalls. I was very pleased with the phone support and responsiveness, but the quality of work on the toilets was poor and the price was really high. The first toilet still has a running problem which appears to be related to the flapper allowing water to slowly leak into the tank. My husband has decided to fix it himself.

I discovered a pool of water in my hallway caused by a leak from a failed hot water tank. Baker Brothers answered my call promptly and had a technician to my residence within an hour. The old hot water tank was removed, a permit received from the township to install a new tank, and the new tank was installed that day. I was impressed with the technician's careful installation and professionalism, the quality of the work, and the pleased that the entire job was completed within the day.

I purchased $59 coupon for inspecting and flashing one water tank.. I have two water tanks at my house. I paid $30 for the second tank. The service person is very nice and knowledgable. He finished the work in 40 min. I was informed the water pressure in my hourse is higher than normal. It might damage old and worn out valves and faucets. He showed us pictures of debris from the tanks. He said my tanks have about 2 year lifetime, which is really worried me.

Classic Plumbing Ltd

Classic plumbing was great. We had an issue with a leaking water heater. It did need to be replaced, but they were able to check and see that the tank was still under the manufacturers warranty. The scheduled a time to replace it and were responsive, professional, and on-time. They also replaced the expansion tank (not related to the warranty), so my cost was the labor for replacement (and the cost of the expansion tank). They took care of the defective (warrantied) tank and I didn't have to worry about it.

Recent Review: Jose explained all options before doing any work, and fielded many questions from me -- answered everything completely and knowledgeably. I had the feeling that I was being informed, not sold. Watermark provided written estimates of each option and were very accommodating in scheduling the jobs. Jose and his coworker Taylor were on time, professional, courteous and kept me informed of everything they were doing. They were here from 9 AM until almost 8 PM and made sure everything was in working order before leaving. They left everything cleaned and put away. Everyone I dealt with at Watermark was a pleasure: friendly, knowledgeable and professional -- from John and April in the office to Jose and Taylor doing the work. They are pricey, but in my opinion well worth it. I will use them again, and I would without a doubt recommend them to my family, friends and coworkers. Thanks to Angie's list for pointing me in the right direction -- I truly appreciate it.

Recent Review: Carlos was very professional and courteous. He introduced himself and gave me his business card and then put on booties to come into my home. I explained to him what my problems were with my plumbing. I told him the metal arm was broken off on the inside of my toilet and I was now having to flush and fill the tank manually in order for it to work. I also told him my tub was leaking out water around the drain pull. He said he would check and see if he had an (o-ring) in his truck after taking the drain plug out and looking to see there was none there any longer. He came back in and put it on and then filled up my tub to check and see if it was still going to leak. He then replaced the metal arm on the inside of my toilet with a brass arm. He said this one wouldn't corrode like the other one did. He also replaced the flapper and did a leak test on my tank. He put in some dye in the tank and then watched to see if the dye came into the toilet. Well, it did. It wasn't a very bad leak and he said it was up to me whether or not I wanted to have the tank rebuilt. He quoted me a price of $195 and I told him to go ahead and rebuild it. The rebuild included a new gasket between the tank and toilet, new bolts, new flush assembly....well everything on the inside tank was replaced and the outside water line running from the wall to the toilet, as well as a new handle on the outside. After finishing with the toilet...the tub was still holding the water he put in it...He said some had leaked out but I couldn't tell the water had gone down any but he said it had just a smidge...but it had been over an hour and I was very pleased and excited to be able to use my tub again. He told me he pulled some hair out of there and he did not charge me for the work done on the drain and plug. The parts for the toilet were of high quality and he was quick and very clean while working on it. He put down water absorbing mats and used his own paper towels to dry his hands on and took everything back out with him when he left. My price ended up being $30 cheaper with my Angie's list coupon. I couldn't be more happy with the work performed. He kept me informed at every step and was very patient to explain and show me everything he was talking about. He was fantastic and I definitely would hire him again in a heartbeat!!!

Recent Review: The estimate he give me over the phone was more than he charged me to replace the tank. He got here as fast as he could. He was very pleasant and did exactly as he said he would do. I called other companies that were highly advertised or where supposed to have a good reputation but they would not even give me an estimate on the phone. And waited to charge me a trip charge to give me an estimate to boot.

Recent Review: On June 4 we discovered that our hot water pressure was low. We tried flushing the tank, but that didn't help, so we called Leak Geeks and got an appointment for the next morning between 10 and 12 am. Michael arrived a little after 10 and spent quite a while with us talking about our hot water problems. In his opinion, our 8 year old water heater was having ball float problems in the inlet or outlet due to scale or corrosion. We discussed possible solutions, including the pros and cons of tank vs. tankless water heaters. We decided on a new tank, which he promptly installed since he had one in his truck (which is large and contains lots of parts). Installation took about 1.5 hours. We signed up for the monthly service contract ($12.95 / month) in order to save 10% (which more than covered the price of the service contract). We now have lots of hot water and are very happy with the service and the result. Not only would I use this company again, I would also recommend them to others.

Recent Review: The plumber told me my tank had been discontinued, but he could put in a replacement for a little over 500 dollars. I intended to hire this service, but had two extra filters I wanted to mail back to dispenser company. I called for the address and was told the cost of the part was $150.00. A plumber from another company put the tank in and it took less than 10 minutes. The Ben Franklin plumber was professional and explained all services offered. I am sorry that due to the cost I was unable to use this company.

Recent Review: Eric responded quickly to call, provided estimated up front, and showed up with the requested water heater a few hours later. He and his assistant were very professional and used booties while inside the house as to not track dirt inside my home. They hauled the old water heater out, installed a new larger drain pan, then installed the new water heater. All connections looked clean, dry, overall appear to be well well done and then they cleaned up after themselves. They will be my first call next time I need a plumber.

Recent Review: I called about getting a tankless water heater and the guy I talked to explained the pros and cons. I ended up going with the the standard 50 gallon tank one--which is what I had before and it lasted for 19 years with no problems. They showed up on time, were very professional and fast. I appreciated the care that they took to protect everything from where they entered the house, up the stairs and to the attic where the heater would be installed. They moved a large hair on hide rug, then put down padded foam on the hard wood floors and plastic on the carpet. When they finished they explained the features of the new tank, cleaned up completely, and scheduled the city inspection which was included in the price. The price was the highest of 3 quotes, but all were within $200 of the others, and they could get me on the schedule days before the other companies could.

Recent Review: They were very professional. The water tank seems to be of very good quality and very difficult to install because the water tank was in the attic and it needed a special sized water tank. They did the job very professionally and cleanly. They gave me a quote with two options on it so that I can decide. I felt very comfortable working with them. I rate them high overall, and I will continue to use them in the future.
