Jim Hofer was amazing to work with. We installed 30+ shutters throughout our house. After multiple quotes received we chose Jim based on the quality of his shutters, price and reputation. He was very honest and upfront about real wood, poly wood shutters and his install date. Never did we feel pressured like some other salesmen. I really liked how Jim and his son do the actual installations as well. Some of the companies that quoted us subcontract the installation out. We absolutely recommend Hofer Wood Shutters. The shutters really do transform the house.

Great experience and wonderful customer service. Answered all my questions and concerns and I never had to wait long for a call back or text response. It can take up to 8 weeks but the quality product you receive is well worth it. I will be going back to them for sure for a couple of other rooms. You won’t go wrong.

When Janet Pool originally installed our plantation shutters in 2006, she brought quality materials, good pricing, professional installation and promises of great customer service. We were very pleased with the finished product. The shutters put the finishing touch on our newly built home. I have had shutters in the past that were thinner and less substantial, so I was pleased with both the stained and painted products she offered. When the hail storm of 2011 barreled through, Janet came to the rescue with repairs and rebuilds to damaged shutters. She was absolutely wonderful to work with, over-delivered and came through on her earlier promises of great customer service. I would highly recommend her company and will buy all of my window treatments from her as long as she is selling shutters and blinds. She even came out to our previous home and did what seemed to be a ridiculously small repair job on our blinds when we were ready to put our house on the market. No job is too big or too small for her. Give her a call. You'll be glad you did!

This is truly a family business. Mr. Sewell answered the phone. His son-in-law Chris came out for the estimate. Installation was timely and efficient. The shutters look great! I would definitely recommend this company!

We researched several installers for custom plantation shutter installers and came selected Hofer based on the feedback provided from some of their previous customers. They arrived on time and measured our windows throughout the house as expected and assisted us in picking out the colors that would best match our interiors. We selected a dark stain finish on 4 1/2" blades and the results are stunning. Custom plantation shutters are expensive, but a beautiful addition to the house that should last for decades. Hofer Wood Interiors are definitely the company to call if you're looking to upgrade to plantation shutters.

Love, love, love my plantation shutters. Initially I had a LOT of questions. I don't spend this amount of money easily. Mike did a great job showing me the different options and explaining everything in detail. He also showed me around his shop on Cash Road. You can check him out at universalwindow.net. He's quite a character and really knows his business. You can also learn about O'Hair Shutters on that site - high quality wood shutters out of Lubbock, Texas. And if you go to the O'Hair website, you can see additional ratings for Universal Window Coverings there. Tom, the installer, is just plain awesome. If you have to have a contractor in your house, Tom is the one you want. He was very careful (even working around my cats) and obviously knows what he is doing (20+ years of experience). Always a pleasure to work with a professional! Mike's price is a bit higher than his competitors but since I'm uber picky, I wanted to work with a company that had a good reputation, a good product, and the ability/willingness to take care of any unforeseen issues. And that decision paid off. We had an issue with a piece of arm moulding that disintegrated upon removal (not Tom's fault) and within a week, he had found an identical piece, had it painted and installed in my house. Couldn't ask for better service. My only regret is that I waited so long to get these shutters! Highly recommend this company!

Best customer service ever! As another reviewer said, in addition to providing an excellent product, Fancy Interiors provides absolutely the best customer service you'll ever find. In late 2018, I ordered 2 shutters for my living room windows. When the guys arrived to install them, although the shutters were beautifully built and priced right, I realized I hadn't successfully communicated what I wanted, so the end result wasn't what I expected: specifically, each shutter opened on just one side, with no center break, whereas I thought I'd ordered shutters that would open in the center. It was clearly just a miscommunication, and the work was so good that I wrote a positive review, but I did suggest that anyone ordering shutters from any company should think about providing a sketch or photograph to avoid making the same mistake I had. Bruce saw my review and promptly called me and said "We'll make it right; tell me exactly what you want". I did and he replaced the two shutters with exactly what I wanted at no additional charge to me. Needless to say, when I need more shutters, Fancy Interiors is the company I'll use. I highly recommend this company!

The work went smoothly. We had used Sewell Shutters for several years. When we decided to put plantation shutters in our home, we only considered Sewell Shutters. Their shutters are quality, and their price is reasonable. I would recommend Sewell Shutters to anyone considering purchasing plantation shutters.

The shutters are excellent in terms of quality, installation, etc. We also loved the fact that are made in Krum TX! We like to support local businesses whenever we can. The only ding I would give is that it fell to me to check on when the shutters would be ready, and when installation would take place. When I called to check, the young woman told me what date they would be installed which was a date they selected without any input from me. Fortunately it worked out but it was a little frustrating. Otherwise, the installers did a great job and I love my shutters. I would definitely hire them again when I'm ready to do more!

Can't recommend Sewell Shutters highly enough. From quality of product to professionalism, they can't be beat. Plantation shutters are a significant investment. We purchased a remodeled home that had absolutely no window treatments. We started the window treatment process with getting bids for the front four windows. First we contacted Lowe's and got a bid for their Graber hardwood shutters. Next we contacted Sewell. We were impressed to learn that instead of trying to color match to standard colors, Sewell would purchase Sherwin Williams paint to exactly match our existing trim. Further, Steve from Sewell came up with an ingenious design for the shutters on our larger front window so that when viewed from the street, our window treatments looked symmetrical and attractive. Sewell's bid was also $700 less than the bid we received from Lowe's. Knowing the excellent reviews here, we looked no further and are so glad. Our first installation looked so beautiful, we asked for a quote for the rest of the house and were pleased yet again with the bid. As it happened, after the installation of the "second phase" of shutters, there were some issues that I felt needed improvement, so I contacted Sewell and they were incredible, coming right back and absolutely handling the matter with a "the customer is always right" attitude. They took care of my concerns promptly, called when they said they were going to, and I only wish I had more business to give them. Highly recommend. First class product. First class operation.
