Reviews in Dallas to Install Water Fountain

Focal Point Landscaping Inc
Ted and his crew did a great job. They installed 4 beds with drip irrigation, a water fountain, a flagstone patio, and a slab for a storage shed. We are so pleased with the finished products. Their attention to detail was awesome. Thanks Ted

Focal Point Landscaping Inc
I found Focal Point on Craigslist and arranged a meeting with the owner Ted. We set up an appointment and walked through the scope of the job. After agreeing on what was to be done, I had to get on the calendar and wait for my turn. His company stays very busy. The rain in May further complicated the schedule. Then one Tuesday, Ted called and said they would be out Thursday to complete the work. He and his crew came out and did the entire project in one day. He also found a problem with the irrigation that was unknown to me. So he fixed that as well. Everything looks great and I am very pleased. My neighbor even came over and was admiring the work and picked up his business card. I am already on the schedule for fall clean-up.

Ted did a full landscape for my mom about a year ago. Included in the work was an installed water feature, which I have enjoyed over the past year. I contacted Ted to do something similar at my house. He was able to provide a beautiful, custom, multi-piece water feature at a very reasonable price! I chose three different pieces of pottery (2, 3 and 4' vases). He got me a great discount on the pottery, by the way, and passed it along. He provided the pumps, the underground parts and all the labor. He called and did the install early and we have enjoyed it every day!! His team did a great job and cleaned up behind themselves. I would recommend him without limitation.

Installation of original water feature occurred in the fall of 2015. I also had them repair/rebuild an existing water feature that was in my yard. I have had no problems whatsoever with the new feature that they installed but did have some issues with the repair of the existing waterfall. To me, I am much more interested in how he company's follow up and warranty work is handled then I am the initial sale. Anyone can make a mistake or have a problem with an installation of a job. To me it is much more important in following through to warranty any problems. I am glad to say that anytime I have called them to repair a small problem they have come out quickly and taking care of the problem. Their creative design and installation is impressive but the follow up and care that they provide the customer long-term far out last any other work that they do. Dan and Stacy and all the others deserve five star for all of their work and keeping the customer happy. They have earned all of my business long-term. They not only sell a great product but they follow up in a great way. I recommend them to you 100%!

James Landscaping Inc
I started working with James Landscaping in September 2014. Rhonda, the owner, came out and talked to me about what I wanted, took a bunch of measurements, and let me know to expect it be six weeks before they would have a plan ready due to the amount of business they were currently handling. In mid-November I approved the first plan. I then had to run it by my homeowner's association who met in December and did not approve it. We submitted a revised plan in January which was also not approved. Rhonda then stepped in and arranged an on-site meeting at the end of January with the HOA to talk about the plan in person with all involved parties. In February 2015, after much haggling, we finally ended up with a plan everyone could agree on. James Landscaping's participation throughout this entire process was vital. The installation was performed at the end of March and took roughly 3 1/2 days. I have had them change a few minor things since then, but James Landscaping has had no problem in working with me to achieve what I want. I'm very happy with the look of my new front yard and would not hesitate to use James Landscaping again.

Clayton and his crew did a fantastic job despite several weather delays. The result is a beautiful back patio area around the water feature. Clayton presented a great design for the area which was very detailed. Clayton was very responsive to all our questions and concerns. We very much enjoyed working with Clayton and all the subcontractors. We have received compliments from all who visit us. Thanks for the great work.

First off, the work done by the crew, Poblo, Jose and the rest is wonderful. The problems are with the management, Jayson and Barbara Horton. They simply do not communicate. Messages left at the office don't get returned. Cell phone voice mails are full or messages don't get returned. The project was estimated in January for an April start so we would be able to use the patio before it got too hot. It was finished 19 Sept 2008. After the demolition started and forms put in place, work on the project stopped. No explanation, just 'we'll be pouring concrete soon' or similar tales. It wasn't until we talked to the town that we were told Horton's had been served a stop work order because they weren't a registered contractor. That's minor - it requires showing proof of insurance to protect the town. But we were never told about this. Just calls ignored or false promises. And Horton's made no visible efforts to remedy the situation. Finally - after learning about the stop-work order - I went down to their offices and spent 1/2 day sitting around staring at Jayson Horton so that he would call the insurance agent, get the proof of insurance faxed to the town and get moving. That was in July. It took another week, but they finally received the necessary building permits. Concrete was poured for the patio on 8 August and work continued on in fits and starts. Things like pulling the crew to lay sod at another project. I'm a reasonable person, I would have said fine (sod is perishable, especially in high heat) if things had been progressing at a reasonable pace and you had called to tell me BEFORE. But the crew just didn't show up and no calls were returned during the day. When we finally spoke at 3pm you lied - told me they had just left the other project and would be over in a few minutes to 'work half a day and finish 100 sq ft of flagstone'. No crew. We're still working through the final bill. Between a couple of change orders (e.g. more lights) and some things I don't yet understand, it's a lot higher than I expected. Next time - with any contractor, but especially Horton's - Have a real contract, not a proposal and make sure it says NO ADDITIONS without written approval of the change order. But - at the end of the project, the net result - our patio is beautiful!

Provider came out to look at yard. I specifically told him NO WATER FEATURE. When I received his plan and price, there was a WATER FEATURE smack dab in the middle of it. I contacted him and reminded him I did not want a water feature and asked for a revision. Weeks went by without a response. I placed another reminder call and sent an email. Still received nothing after 2 months. Asked for a refund and he refused. I contacted Angie's List. Angie's List refunded my money. I did not use this company and would not use this company after this poor customer service.

Tru Blu Pool Renovations
Overall: After getting quotes over a year ago, Mark was the only one to stay in touch until I was finally ready to put together exactly what I wanted. We trusted his recommendation for the pool surface material and color and it came out looking fantastic, he answered every question I had (and I think I ask a lot). After the job was complete, one of his crew returned repeatedly over the next few weeks to adjust the chemicals and even did some light maintenance on the equipment when there was a leak. Pool Surface: My old surface was plaster and the new one is mini pebble. I got to witness the prep and progression and in the middle of the job the crew had to take off about a week due to heavy rains. Because my pool is slightly downhill, when they returned they had a pool nearly full with muddy water to clean up before they could apply the new surface. We asked for a color that would make the pool look very Caribbean but I was a little concerned when I saw how dark the color was before they acid washed and filled it. When it was done and full of water it looked fantastic and exactly the color we had described. The mini pebble really catches the light and shimmers as some of the stone reflects back like little diamonds. We can't wait to swim this summer. Coping/wall cap: I had flagstone coping originally that was in bad shape due to lack of care on my part (I wasn't sealing it and I have a salt water pool). He provided me with a recommendation the sealer to use on the new coping which looked fantastic, its darker and looks more like what I see in new construction. The pieces are nice and thick (old ones weren't as thick). When his crew completed a portion of the project differently than I had expected he had them redo the portion that needed correction (related to stone cutting around a post). Veneer: I had a plain flagstone veneer on the retaining wall and wanted a dry stack style face, I thought the faux kind would have been adequate but he quoted and was able to use real stone, individually stacked and secured to the wall and it came out looking great. The wall extends from over the back of the pool around 2 sides of our patio. The previous wall had some leveling issues and they cleaned the lines up as part of the job. Water Features: I had aerator style spouts made of PVC which worked but I hated to look of. Originally I wanted the sheer type water feature to come out from between the stacked stone wall but that would have required an extra pump and some new plumbing. Together we came up with an adjustment to the feature using a rainfall style that's very similar but didn't require an extra pump/plumbing. Light Conversion: I had fiber optic lights and the old transformer was blown, the crew replaced the transformer box and ran new wires and LED lights using existing conduit. The lights are brighter than the old fiber optic and create a magical glow as the light bounces off the new surface.

Landscaping Over Texas
I could not have asked for a better person than Eric. He did all that work by himself and I am extremely pleased! I would hire him again anytime I need more work done. My parents I believe are going to hire him for some work on their property. It’s bigger than mine but I believe Eric can handle and do a good job at anything you hire him for. I just could not believe he cleared out my waterfall I completely hated by himself. He is great and I would ask for him again.

Clay's Clippers Landscape Creations
We have used Clay's Clippers several times for Landscaping Services (design, planting & hardscape). Christal knows her plants! Her designs are great and she keeps in mind our goals & uses for the yard. She's chooses the plants at area nurseries but works with us when we have plants & trees from different nurseries or if we want to transplant a current plant. In 2010 they designed & landscaped our entire back yard including a water fountain bed. In 2011 we added a potager garden with raised beds & an arbor. In 2013 they landscaped the entire front yard & side yard along the driveway using boulders & wide stone border. In 2014 we added a butterfly garden & bed along the other side of our house complete with a flag stone path. We love it & get compliments on our yard regularly. Clay's Clippers is a fabulous company with honest, talented, & hardworking people. I highly recommend them.

The mulching went off without a hitch. The sod was of poor quality. I hope it comes back OK next season. The fountain wasn't painted in the first go round. That, evidently, wasn't communicated to the workers originally. The Texas sturdy plants they planted ended up being lantana (by the way, this is very harmful to animals) and an ornamental grass. I couldn't tell you what the hedges were because I didn't get any information at all of the plants planted and the care needed for them.

Recent Review: I'm sure that there are other custom pool builders out there that are as good as Tyler, but I couldn't find one. My wife and I were new to the process, having never built a pool before. I was concerned with finding the right builder because I wanted one that I could trust, and one that could walk us through the process step-by-step. We had three custom builders come out to our house and discuss our proposed pool. We had a few ideas about what we wanted (more covered area, deck space, etc.), but we also wanted suggestions. We weren't experts, and we were interested in what they thought would work. My main goal was not so much the pool itself, but adding living space in our backyard; some place to go and sit, relax, and enjoy. All of the builders were pleasant and professional, and they all offered suggestions that they thought would work for us. One told us that they would recommend a certain shape but we would most likely need to cut down one of the two giant oak trees in our backyard. The next one was better but only drew out his ideas on a scrap piece of paper. A co-worker of mine recommended Tyler, so I gave him a call. In our first meeting with him, he brought his laptop, iPad, and other information to help us talk through our wants and needs. He had great suggestions – and since he has built so many pools, he had lots of examples to show us. There was no pressure or upsell, just an honest evaluation of what he could do within our budget. In less than an hour we had a computer generated rendering of what our backyard would look like, complete with motion graphics – the water in the pool was flowing, the fire was burning in the fire pit, and our dog was sitting beside the pool. We hired him the next day. Tyler and his whole team were professional throughout the build process. When we asked for slight changes or additions, we discussed it with Tyler and he was accommodating. Even though we had lots of bad weather during construction, his teams worked diligently to get the project finished. Tyler kept us informed at every step, and he was onsite for most workdays. Now we have a beautiful backyard with a great pool and lots of extra living space. It is exactly what we hoped for when we began the process. I would highly recommend Tyler and Dolce Pools for any project, big or small. He is one of the “good guys” who will do high quality work with integrity.

Recent Review: The company was recommended by a friend. We received 2 proposals from other companies and chose Cimarron. Our backyard was a mess, bad erosion because we had no grass because we had no way to keep it watered other than a hose. We have 3 big dogs and they were constantly digging in the dirt. All the dust was then brought into the house. Also; we have been having foundation problems and the engineer recommended an irrigation system to keep the foundation watered. We worked with the owner Ryan Mounger. The work took approx. 4 to 5 days. They handled all the permitting with Arlington city to make sure we were in compliance with the city. We didn't have to handle any of that and Ryan met with the inspector when the work was completed. We passed inspection completely. They re-graded the backyard, brought the dirt back up to the foundation of the house. They not only installed a sprinkler system but installed a drip watering system in the flower beds and along the side and back of the house for the foundation. We never thought of any of that and we are hoping it will help with the foundation problems. All of the holes from the dogs were filled in and they installed sod on most of the backyard. Their cleanup was fantastic, they mowed what grass we had and cleaned up all the leaves. Their is no bare dirt, no dogs digging, actual grass, (can't wait until spring when it is green) and they will replace any sod that doesn't grow. They installed the irrigation system in the front yard also, did an excellent job of cleaning up with very minimal damage to the grass in the front yard. Ryan went over completely with my husband how to operate the sprinkler system. We are so excited no more dragging hoses all over the yard. He and his crew were very professional, courteous and answered any questions we had. They were all very friendly. I have no problem recommending Cimarron Landscape to Angie's List or to anyone who needs landscaping done. Kudos to Angie's List, so far we are 3 for 3.

Recent Review: They brought all of the rock and equipment that we needed, and even chased down a lost part, and had the pond completed in one day, with a waterfall and lighting! Since we're new to this endevour, we really appreciated that they spent the extra time to answer all of our questions when we contracted their services and while they were building the pond! They've also been so supportive, answering all of our questions about maintaining a pond and how to take care of koi fish! If your looking for someone to help turn your backyard into your own little oasis, Backyard Concepts are the ones you need to talk to! We are so happy we made the investment, it has turned our backyard into a and quot;little slice of heavenand quot; according to one of our friends and even our neighbors enjoy the sounds of the waterfall! Our only regret is waiting so long, to get to the help, to finish it! We love our pond and we love working with Backyard Concepts!

Recent Review: Jerry, Shannon, and their team made our pool remodeling experience pleasant and satisfying. Our process started with several consultations and computer generated images (which was very helpful to see the finished product before committing to a design). Jerry and Shannon also took time out on a Saturday to bring us to several pools that they had designed to help us decide on what we ultimately wanted. They listenened to our wish list and worked within our budget to create a beautiful backyard retreat. Demolition of the existing deck and landscaping was quick. Construction began right away and the custom stone work quickly became the focus of the project. A stone wall with waterfalls and stone benches around the perimeter are some of our favorite additions. Also a new 'tanning ledge', 6-9 inches deep, was a perfect area for our young kids to play. We were involved with all the decision making and presented endless options on design. Every detail was managed by Jerry and he called often to discuss options and the next steps. We started in April and the entire process was completed in time to enjoy the pool for the summer. He also came back to reseal the stone the following year. We are very happy with the end product and can now enjoy our new pool all season long.
