We interviewed several different companies in 2008 and ultimately decided to go with this company because Mark Kellner, the owner made a good first impression on us. The system was installed for around $5000 on our property, and although we continued to have mosquitos here and there, it decreased the overall number of biting mosquitos. The system requires a refill every couple of months, and it also requires winterizing during the months when there are no mosquitos and there is a service charge every time they come out. The problem we ran into with this company is that when you have a problem (ex:broken remote, or need a refill, etc.) and call them, you will NEVER speak to a human. You will always have to leave a message on an answering machine, and several days later, they will call you back and sometimes, they will just come out and take care of the problem without ever setting up an appointment. This happened to us several times and we went along with it because we had already purchased their system and for the most part we were okay. This all changed when our remote control stopped working and we could no longer control the system. We called and left a message, and several days later a replacement remote along with a $50 bill was left on our property without any phone call to let us know that they had been there. In addition to billing us $50, the remote that they left was old, rusty, and with teeth marks. I called and asked for a new remote, especially if they were going to charge us $50 for a "new" remote. Again, with no phone call to let us know they were coming out, a new remote was left for us, but it still did not work. After yet another message on the machine, a technician named Howard calls, and when I tried to explain the difficulties that we had been having with the remote, he says "Lady, do you want your remote fixed or are you going to just &%$# about it? He was very condescending and unprofessional. I contacted Mark Kellner, the owner (and you guessed it) left a message asking him to call me back, and two weeks went by and all I got was an email letting me know that Howard was removed from my account. I don't know why anyone would want someone like Howard coming onto their property. Ultimately, we decided to switch to a company that will provide better leadership, customer service and professionalism. FYI, Mark Kellner owns and operates TEXAS MOSQUITO CONTROL / MOSQUITO MASTERS / MOSQUITO GUARD / MOSQUITO DEFENSE SYSTEMS.
