It went well, Rudy did a real good job. He took care of everything in a timely manner at a fair price.

Excellent response and workmanship, accurate estimates to within 5%, finished on time. Very easy to work with, entire staff was considerate and friendly. The company made excellent suggestions that improved the final project significantly. Did not expect to be paid until project finished.

The owner came with his crew at the appointed time. Did a confirmation with me on the work to be performed. His crew worked hard all day. They were all very pleasant and professional in spite of the heat. The work was done as agreed and everything was cleaned up and left in good shape. My only "ding" is that he charged me a 3% additional fee because I wanted to pay with a credit card to get miles. I would definitely use them again for any major type of grading or drainage work.

They showed up on time to spray the planting bed with weed killer. A week later, they came and removed the dead weeds, put down a layer no-weed material, added some metal edging, covered the bed with river rock, went and got some more rock becuase they didn't have enough and cleaned up before they left. A little pricey, but good job!

The service was excellent and the work quality was good too. The best part about using Matt at Stenson to do the work is the service. He was fast to respond and got the work done equally quickly, leaving no mess behind - only his high quality work product. Highly recommend.

Ted and his crew were wonderful to work with. There when they said they would be, cleaned up after each day of work. Have a beautiful patio, neighbors stopping by just to view craftsmanship.

The overall project turned out as well as we projected. The project did take a bit longer than anticipated with weather delays and permits. There were however some minor details that had to be addressed but David was able to have someone there to rework the issue ASAP even at late hours. David made sure that the rework was done properly that at times he was the one performing the task. I thought that was tremendous when the owner stepped up to finish the job.

I LOVE MY NEW BACKYARD! IT IS BEAUTIFUL! I initially contacted Matt at Stenson Landscaping to solve a drainage issue and landscape the remainder of my small backyard. Last spring I had a concrete patio added to the back of the house, but unfortunately the contractor (Gary Gootman/Complete Outdoor Concepts) refused to take my concerns over the size of the patio into account. The final result was that the oversized patio interfered with the natural (but temporary) flow of water through the sloped yard during rain showers, causing soil erosion under the base of the concrete. I consulted Matt about solving my problem by creating a path for the water to flow while also protecting the patio. I had seen the "dry riverbed" look and thought it could work in this situation. Since low maintenance was also a goal preserving the grass was not a concern. Matt agreed and said he could create the stone bed using river rock and larger stones for accent. He would finish the rest of the yard to include a flagstone path from the gate to the patio and adding landscaped beds, removing all of the remaining lawn. I wasn't quite sure at that point that I could envision the finished project, but Matt was enthusiastic that he had a plan in mind and could remake my ratty backyard into something fantastic. He was also able to work up an estimate for me before he left. I felt the price was very fair and consistent with several others I had gotten, and the opportunity to use an Angie's List coupon was definitely a bonus. The entire job was completed in less than two days. I wasn't able to check on the project until after the work was done, but I have to say the final "reveal" far exceeded my expectations. The side yard was leveled and made even with the patio, which had previously required a step up. Large rock was used to edge the now-raised landscaped beds and create a natural drop to the "riverbed" below. Several trees were planted across the back of the yard, with roses and other plants added for color. Perennials were planted on either side of the flagstone path. I could not be happier with my new yard. I am still amazed at how fast Matt and his crew were able to complete the total transformation. He was very professional and pleasant to work with, and will be my first choice when I am ready to update the landscaping on my front yard later this spring. I highly recommend Stenson Landscaping.

Work was done in a professional and very timely manner - actually finished the work an hour early. And everything looked beautiful and very professional. Workers were efficient and polite. And one of the workers even saved my son from what could have been a bad crash on his tricycle - the worker had some serious super-hero-like skills! I was grateful to them for sure.

The river rock is perfect for our landscaping in the back. You and your staff did a great job! Looks great and low maintenance, perfect for us! After Sam helped with our sprinkler system, we thought how lucky you were to have such great help. Then Johnny came in and landscaped with the river rock and we realized you had found two great workers. They were professional, polite and hard workers. They both listened to our every concern and addressed each of them. It is my view that your business is only as good as the workers! I do hope you keep Sam and Johnny working for you a long time.

The job started and ended on the same day. The team was very professional and did an excellent job.

The work went well. John knows how to landscape. The problem is that he is too busy and overloaded. It makes it hard for him to get to your job. There are multiple delays and setbacks. He doesn't schedule you for a specific date or time; just tells you what upcoming weeks he has open and will try to fit you in. This is the only negative I would have on him. I probably would hire him again. The price was very fair.

This is a small, family-owned/operated start-up company with a personal recommendation. Mother (Elizabeth) and son (James) came to house to give estimate. Estimate was verbal, not written - mistake #1. Verbal agreement included complete removal of river rock, tree trimming, new mulch around front trees, large Mexican fan palm in backyard, and pruning/cleaning up of everything in front yard - none of these were done. They worked until after dark on Friday evening and said they would return the next week to finish the work, remove the rock, and take care of anything else they forgot. I went ahead and paid them, in full on Friday - mistake #2. I called them several times, and was given later dates for completion until finally, on April 26th, one month after the job was ?incompleted,? I said they needed to come back by the end of the week or I would have to do it myself. They never called, came by, or apologized. They were a day and a half late starting the job. They worked hard while they were here, but weren't here nearly long enough to do everything they said they would do. I now have several hundred pounds of river rock I need to dispose of somehow.

Will do whatever it takes to get it right. We are very happy with the landscaping and French drain they did for us. They did an excellent job with river rocks and steps for the side of our home. They worked hard to tweak designs to ensure we were satisfied. They truly care, and we would recommend them for quality work.

Our property backs up to an old creek bed with a bad slope. Our soil was continually washing out under our fence. GS followed natural lines to create proper drainage and secured with rock and concrete, and gave us a great finished look with shade tolerant sod. We are very pleased with the result.
