Recent Review: The quality of work has been excellent. We've done a lot of work, and through all of it, they've made great recommendations and tried to keep my budget in mind. I have always felt like they were trying to help me get the most for my money, not just sell me more projects. That's something I appreciate very much. On the master bath remodel, they redid the layout of the bathroom to move the toilet and add a privacy compartment around it, then expanded the shower. My new shower has beautiful tile work, a large stone accent stripe, built-in shampoo niches, a corner bench, and a 4-head body jet system in addition to an oversized showerhead. I hardly want to get out of the shower in the mornings. I'm really glad I went ahead with the options for the frameless glass and the body jets. It just makes for an incredibly beautiful shower. Before they could get to the bathroom, though, they had to bring in their plumber to replace pipes throughout one end of my home. The home I had bought had been vacant for quite awhile, and it turned out that the piping was all bad. Nothing was flowing in two bathrooms, the kitchen or the laundry room. It's quite an experience to have your flooring all pulled up and jackhammers and tunnels running, but they got it done quickly, and everything works great now. (They explained that they could tunnel in from outside the house and not have to disturb my floors, but since I was going to be replacing them anyway, it was cheaper to jackhammer through the foundation.) We've done hardwood floors in the living areas, which always get compliments, carpet in the bedrooms and tile in the bathrooms. We left the old kitchen tile....kitchen renovation comes as soon as the budget can afford it. Outside, I added a huge concrete patio around the pool. That gave me more entertaining space for parties, and also gave less room for the dogs to dig in the dirt, then track mud into the house. But the dogs were still running all through the "people" space, so I had Home Front put up a wrought iron fence to separate the backyard into "dog area" and "people area." The fence is really beautiful, and makes the space so much more usable. Finally, I've had them do a lot of paint work, both inside and outside. We will do more as budget allows. Overall, my experiences through many different projects have been excellent. From Michael doing the estimating to Jamie in the office, and several different crews working in the home, I've been very glad to have Home Front working for me. As budget allows for my kitchen remodel, the remaining paint, and some additional exterior work, I'll be having Home Front do the work.

He listened to my needs and offered his advice on a few items regarding the back patio that I was still unsure about. His entire staff was extremely courteous and worked with me from beginning to end on the patio, pergola, and fence design. His crew was very professional and completed the work much quicker than I expected. I will definitely be contacting him whenever I am ready to start designing my outdoor kitchen!

Recent Review: I was so happy with previous work that this contractor had done, that I decided to go ahead and get one more thing completed: installation of an 8' x 10' concrete patio with flagstone on the top. This was a 2-day job, as the old patio had to be removed and the concrete poured on Day 1; then the flagstone had to be laid on Day 2. On both days, the crew arrived on time and worked diligently. I was pleasantly surprised that, even though they had to return on Day 2 to complete the job, they did not leave their tools and equipment lying around my yard. Instead, they picked up everything and left my yard in pristine condition, then brought everything back the next day when they completed the job. The patio is beautiful!!! The flagstone goes very well with the stone borders on my flower beds, which they had installed for me approximately 3 weeks previously. The crew is extremely nice, professional, and hard-working. My property was respected and cleaned up flawlessly after the job was complete. I would definitely recommend Ted Nichols and his crew to anyone wanting this type of work done, and, if I have any further projects of this nature, I will most certainly call them.

Recent Review: The overall job went well. Very good quality on fence, stone fireplace and patio structure. Average quality on stamped patio and concrete drive way. Poor quality on flag stone walk way, sprinkler rework and overall clean up, Staff and project manager was attentive to the project and spent sufficient time at the site. The landscaping items were the items they need improvement on. Fence, patio and stone fire place were top quality. We had several people stop by our home and ask to review the fence and patio structure.
