I called on Sunday and was able to get an appointment for a chimney sweeping on Tuesday. He came promptly and cleaned the fireplace and chimney with no mess. He let me know that the chimney looked like it was in good shape. While he was there I asked him to check out the dryer vents. There were two because the original vent was full of a bird's nest. He removed this and cleaned both vents. Then he added a grate on the dryer vent that will prevent animals from getting in and making a nest again.

Josh was running a few minutes late but called us and to let us know and actually arrived shortly thereafter. He covered the fireplace area with a large cloth and proceeded to clean out the fireplace. No mess whatsoever. We then were told one of the fireplace refractor panels was missing. This could have cuased the fireplace to catch on fire and burn down the house. This is a rental property (only one we have) and the tenant apparently pulled it out and threw it away. We are having the company replace the panels in December.

I was not an Angies List member when I set the appointment. I requested the appointment through their website and was contacted by phone within an hour by Wanda. We set the appointment for the exact date and time that I wanted. Evan arrived on time, actually a little early, and was very professional and quick and did not leave a mess for me to clean up. He also left an estimate to repair the outside chimney (hardyboard) that I already knew was in poor condition. I thought the estimate to repair and paint the outside chimney was high ($625) so I am going to get some other estimates to compare. I received a $10 discount (online coupon) for requesting appointment online and another $10 discount for submitting a review on Google.

Went well. The quality of the works was so so. The amount of rock that was left at replacement was approximately 1/4 of what should have been left. They left about 10-15lbs of rock it should have been closer to 50lbs. I asked the tech about it and was told that was the right amount for the size fireplace. After he felt I called the company and was told the same thing. We have used them for years but never had any of the rock replace. I would uses them again for cleaning but not for replacement.
