Now that the project is complete, I can say that having our basement waterproofed was one of the most difficult projects we have tackled to date. But that had to do with my part of the project (cleaning out the basement, painting and reorganizing). For their part, Foundation System did a good job. The only problem was that one section of the concrete cracked and needed replaced. It took two calls to get the concrete replaced correctly. However, now that everything is done, I am pleased with their work. The worst part of this project is getting estimates. In that area, the Foundation Systems rep (Rod DiPaulo) was great. He was helpful and did not pressure us for a sale

He came out the next day (a Saturday), quoted a price, told her when he would be able to schedule, actually came back when he said he would, and fixed the problem in the basement. He was professional and friendly, his crew was very nice, and they did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to call him for anything. If he can make my mom happy, you know he did good

WHEN THE SALESMAN EXPLAINED THE PROCEDURE, HE TOL US THAT THE CREW WOULD DIG DOWN 4 FEET AROUND THE FOUNDATION. WHEN THE WORK BEGAN, WE NOTICED THAT THE TRENCH WAS VERY SHALLOW..ONE FOOT. WE ASKED ABOUT THIS AND THEY SAID THAT IS WHAT THEY ALWAYS DO. WE ASKED THE SALESMAN TO BACK US UP ON THIS, AND HE DENIED EVER HAVING TOLD US THAT THEY DUG 4 FEET DOWN. AFTER A WEEK OF SEARCHING, WE FOUND THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE THAT STATED THE TRENCH WOULD BE 4 FEET DEEP. ONLY THEN DID THEY CORRECT THE PROBLEM AND DIG DOWN TO THE ORIGINALLY STATED DEPTH. BASICALLY, THE COMPANY PUT THE ONUS ON US TO PROVE WHAT THE ESTIMATE HAD SAID. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE

THE SYSTEM THEY INSTALLED FOR US HAS A LIFE TIME WARRANTY. THEY SAID THEIR SYSTEM IS NOT AT FAULT AND CAN'T DO ANYTHING TO FIX IT. THEY CAME OUT AND REROUTED THE DRAIN SYSTEM, BUT THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THEY WERE RUDE AND TREATED US BADLY.

Mural and Sons was a pleasure to work with. We had a large crack in our foundation that spanned the whole back wall of our basement and to 1/2 of a side wall. We opted to have the wall trenched and waterproofed from the outside with beams placed inside to keep the wall structurally sound. They were timely and prompt. They did an excellent job. We use them for plumbing. They did diagnostic work to find out what was causing the leak in the basement. They brought in equipment and people and dug down 8 ft to the sewer. They found the problem and did some work along the side. They also rerouted the sump pump which is only a year old. The lines that went into the sump pump, we had had some work done by another company a few years ago and the line was going uphill instead of going downhill. They did some waterproofing where the leak was but not the entire basement. I had used them for plumbing before so when I was looking for someone to do the water leak, I noticed that they did waterproofing. I said, oh I know they are good so

They did a great job with the concrete and the driveway looks great. However I did have problem with how the team treated my yard overall. There were cigarette butts everywhere but most importantly, the construction team removed an excessive amount of dirt and grass surrounding the driveway. I would have been more understanding of that, but when I asked to have some dirt replaced I did not get any help from Don. We had to spend close to $300 in dirt just to replace what was removed. It just would have been nice to at least been asked if we wanted to keep the dirt. Oh, and they left a big patch of mixed cement in the middle of the front grass that we also had to replace
