Did excellent work. Other projects beginning 2009 through 2012, remodel basement into nice "man cave" space with theater seating, exercise area and cedar closet. Remodeled kitchen and main floor updating to hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and open concept design. All projects went well. Workers were very punctual but only graded a "B" for punctuality due to slight slippage in start dates for a couple projects

Was supposed to be a 3 month job. Fired Mike & finished myself after 8 months. Mike is nice as can be when he wants money then turns into a real *******. The workers did good work when they were here but Mike is the Problem. King Bullshiter & Liar is what he is. Beware of him

Mason Builders
Tom Mason was very unprofessional. Difficult to communicate with. He created contract but then did not follow the terms. He cut corners during construction; installing drywall with nails rather than screws. Within months, nail heads pushing out of walls. Was supposed to provide attic storage access but just cut a small hole into ceiling, where drywall crumbles and falls to ground every time you try to access space. Lost an outside faucet as he covered indoor valve with drywall and he couldn't find location afterwards to provide access. Two electric outlets in two bedrooms no longer work after new electric work done. Dumpster sitting in driveway for couple months caused driveway to crack. Mason refused to address issues. Very unprofessional and poor workmanship

He came all the way out to my home, but I didn’t get anything. I had to have my deal refund. Angie’s List helped me get my money back. The guy was nice and all, but I would just recommend that he say ahead of time if he cannot service an area. It was really a waste of both of our time since the work could not be done

I saw some good reviews here and recommended Ken Mills to my father. A contract for a room addition was signed, a deposit was provided. One day of prep work was provided in December. He promised work would continue during warm weather. No further work was done and now he cannot be reached. I was told the check to the architect bounced as well

Chip and his team is AMAZING. The team has a meticulous attention to detail. You would never know that the basement was completed after the home's construction. Every detail, including trim, hardware, and ceiling finish is an EXACT match to the main floors of the house. Every person that walks into the basement has the same reaction....WOW! I have an amazing custom bar with arm rail, a theater room with surround sound, a playroom with french doors leading to a family room, and a full bathroom with shower, toilet, and urinal. The results of his work defines 'man cave.' The workers were on-time every day. Over the course of the 6 week project, we got to know each of his workers like they were part of our family. I would have no problem leaving him the keys to our house and giving them full access to work while we were out of town. He is that trustworthy and reliable. There are few companies out there that truly take pride in their work, and this company is one of them. I couldn't be happier with the whole process. On time, on budget, and phenomenal result

We were running into issues with the weather changing, so he and his crew worked on a Saturday and Sunday to get the job done. This was really appreciated. | |He will be coming back in the spring with our General Contractor to add fill dirt and topsoil to finish the grading needed in the back yard and connect the downspouts to the storm water sewer once the walls and roof are up. There was a bit of a cost overrun due to additional soil and drain work necessary per the city

Jason and his team of Bob and Seth were great from the start. Always showing up on time, making great recommendations based on their experience and knowledge of code. They were great to deal with, fun to be around and the work they did was very professional. In a world of contract Jason came and did the estimate personally. He helped us figure out the best place for things and the best way to accomplish what we wanted. About a week later, they came and did the basic wiring after the rough framing was done. All went well. We had about a 4 week wait while insulation and drywall were being done. We called and scheduled them to finish and they arrived on time with everything they needed. They finished about 95% of the work and just had a light in the furnace room and some rerouting of switches and outlets to do in the furnace room. They came and finished that the following day. All in all, this could not have gone any better, the price was fair and Jason and his team were great to deal with. Highly recommend JAC for anyone wanting a quality job done by professionals. If in need any electrical work done in the future, I will only call JAC

The slate put on my brick fire place by Marks Building Company, looks like a work of art. Mr. Marks from Marks Building Company does gorgeous work. He makes his own woodwork. He is very talented and responsive. He did a very nice job. I have no complains with him and his work. I recently had a mishap. When somebody was delivering something, they broke the basement stairs and put a hole in the wall. I asked Mr. Marks to come over. He fixed everything even before my husband came to know about the mishap. He is really great. When I wanted the cedar taken off from the walls and ceiling, another company quoted $4000 for the job. However, Mr. Marks took it off and put in dry wall for much lesser cost than the other company

The owner and crew were very skilled craftsmen. We thought the crown moulding would have to be taken down to put up the new drywall but the crew was able to install the drywall without taking off the crown moulding and there was no damage to the woodwork. They were pleasant, hard working individuals who cleaned up after themselves and didn't cut corners when it came to repairing the damage. You can't even tell where the new drywall meets the original ceiling. They were fast and professional. Kept us informed of each step of the process. I would hire them again

It was lower than code so I wanted them to put a higher one in. Jerry was very thorough in explaning what he was going to do, good at laying out what I'm going to do and this is exactly what it's going to cost. There were no questions whatsoever when it came down to the work that was going to be done, he was very responsive and called me back in a timely fashion. He came out once to meet me and see the job then he came out again when he had specs and the cost. He was timely and I was really pleased. It was the first time using a contractor in our new home and I was pleased. He also had a good personality. The banister wasn't quite what I was hoping it would be, but it wasn't bad. I am pleased with it and I would still refer him for other jobs
