Must admit I am a repeat customer. Over the last 40 years I have dealt with any number of tree service companies and I have to say that Tree Images is the best I have dealt with when it comes to showing up, doing the job and leaving the site as clean as when they showed up. This time they took down a giant pine that was about 60 feet tall and was too big for the small spot where it was planted. They also did some tree trimming that was pretty high up and these young men are excellent climbers. The crew was friendly, professional and hard working. Had a number of estimates - some higher and some lower, but i went with a company I know and trust.

The team did an absolutely amazing job! I had a very large tree (it would take three people, arms out, to reach around the trunk) removed from my yard. The tree was inside of my privacy fence-which added to the challenge as the tree was probably 80ft tall. They were able to remove the tree with minimal damage, AND where a piece of the fence was broken by a falling limb the completely repaired before completing the work. The stump grinding was beautiful-and all the small limbs were also cleaned up before they left. I would highly recommend this company and would use them again!

We are replacing a very old fence next week and previously had a couple trees cut down that had grown into the fence breaking it; I neglected to get the stumps removed. I called AJ's last week, and two other companies, for stump grinding estimates. One company did not return the call and the other was 3-4 weeks out. AJ's reassured me they could get them removed in time and came by within 48 hours to get an estimate. The estimate seemed reasonable, probably below average pricing given the deadline, and I agreed. A few days later AJ's let me know they would be out to complete the project. All communication via phone and AJ's responsiveness, professionalism were on par.

They came out the same day to give estimate. Returned next day to trim a tree, remove a tree and grind stump. Removed a couple of wild mulberry bushes and ground stumps. They cleaned up and were very professional. I would use them again.

Very good. Overall, working with this company took me back to the days when both contractors and customers were true to their word. I appreciated the attitude of the people in the field and the people in the office. It was nice to do business with a company that appreciated my business. AJ's Tree Service
Very pleased, I spoke with AJ on Monday and had the job completed today (Thur). The crew arrived and had everything finished quickly. The price was for removal of 9 shrubs including the stumps as well as grinding two rotting tree stumps at the side of the house. They cleaned up the yard and blew all the dirt off the driveway. Will hire again.

He was very prompt in answering his phone and coming over to give and estimate and the job was done 2 days later. The clean up after the tree removal was well done; the clean up of the stump removal the following day was messier but so was the job. I had already scheduled the house to be pressure washed before the this job was scheduled; wish I could have postponed the pressure washing but I couldn't get a hold of them. The sawdust is everywhere from the street to over the house and to the backyard but that's just the way it is and no fault of the grinder! I do wish that this company accepted credit cards as it took a junk out of my checking account!

I solicited estimates from four Tree Service suppliers for the removal of 2 tree stumps. Tree Images was the first to respond to my request for an estimate. They arrived as promised and presented us with a written estimate clearly specifying the Angie's list discount with no pressure to select them to do the work. TREE SERVICES representatives were polite and professional and their price was as good or better than any of the responders, based on their conduct and price I selected them to do the stump removal. They arrived on the date promised and were actually early. The stumps were removed quickly the chips were raked into a mound and there was no mess left for me to clean up. I was very impressed and pleased with the cost and service that I received from TREE SERVICES and they will certainly be my first choice for any additional tree service needs I might have in the future.

they were taking out a dead tree, and we weren't home b/c we trusted them. I got a phone call from Jesus, saying that a tree we cut down we broke a limb on another tree, so we pruned up the other limbs on the other pine tree. We got home and saw that half the tree was gone. We ended up having him remove that tree for a price that we set. he wasn't happy about the price, but agreed to do it. They ended up ruining our beautiful pine tree in our yard. Also, when they ground the stumps they didn't cover anything, and so sawdust got all over house and property. The next time we asked him to be more cleanly, and he said his excuse was that he didn't charge us very much for those previous jobs. But he's very reasonable and they usually do pretty good work, but we just had those few mishaps. You literally get what you pay for.

Work not completed. Hendel's reaction has been and continues to be very unprofessional, and at times, frightening. Damaged yard, incomplete stump removal 2 months after the cutting. Damage to the fence. A terrible mess left. No prior notification of work starting - simply came home to damage and debris worse than a hurricane would have left. Please review the BBB complaints.

Quick response to request for quote. Not lowest bidder, but within 10% of lowest. Six bidders in total. Chosen because of Angie's list, and he explained exactly how issues such as branches over roof would be addressed. Competitors just talked about how difficult job would be, which I took as justification for pricing, but did not assure me they knew how to handle it. Tree cutting and removal took place as scheduled, allowing for weather delays as agreed to at quote acceptance. Due to equipment issues, did take several more weeks to complete grinding and grading. Clean up could have been better after each of three phases - cutting, grinding, and grading. Most important - no apparent damage to house.

Recent Review: Blue Ox cut down 5 dead trees and removed 4 of them. They left the 5th one in the woods as we had discussed. Stump grinding was not included, by agreement. Their price was VERY reasonable - our other bid was almost double. They left the yard very clean. The remaining stumps are a few inches high - I'm not sure how they got them that low. Did a great job. The only reason I gave them a "B" on responsiveness is that their schedule is backed up - it's been a bad year for dying trees and they are busy! They initially said they had a six week backlog, but ended up coming out in only about 4 weeks to do the work after we signed the agreement.

They were able to grind the stump below ground level making it easy to fill with dirt and reseed. In addition, they were very competitive with their pricing. In fact, they were $600 less than the highest estimate! I would hire Kimball Tree in a heartbeat.

Recent Review: If in need of tree service, VERIFY INSURANCE COVERAGE. Sorry for yelling, but I called seven of the closest tree services here on Angie's List and they all claimed to be fully insured. Only Spartek and one other were, when I tried to verify. This deception is endemic in the tree service industry. You might even be shown certificates of coverage, but they're not proof of coverage until verified because policies lapse, yet unscrupulous operators will still show them and they're bidding jobs against companies doing the right thing. This is unfair because being properly insured costs a ton of dough. A tree service needs two insurance policies to protect you. A workman's compensation policy and a general liability policy. They're required by state law with only casual enforcement. The former protects you if a worker gets injured, and the latter protects your property and your neighbor's property if a tree or limb falls the wrong way. Lacking either, you the homeowner are on the hook financially if something goes wrong. To verify workman's comp coverage in Ohio you can go to [*** Link removed ***] or call 1-800-644-6292. General liability policies are with private companies, so you have to call the phone number on the policy certificate to verify. The insurer won't mind talking to you because that's their business. This is true for anyone working on your house, contractors, roofers, etc. Here's another thing. I've lived here ten years and had a lot of tree work done, and have seen the good, bad, and the ugly. Under "ugly" I'd have to add claiming to be a certified arborist when not. Patrick Boggess is the real deal. [*** Link removed ***] We had an especially wet summer which made job timing difficult, however Brandy Boggess did a great job staying in touch for a dry soil day that would prevent rutting or undue soil compaction of healthy existing tree root systems. Once the right day arrived, Patrick Boggess and his team of six men showed up right on time and brought their equipment in carefully, using 4x8 plywood planks under the crane bucket truck wheels for areas that were still soft, or over septic leach field sections. They brought down the trees without any damage to the fence only 10' away from the job, ground the stumps, and left with the least impact on my yard as feasible given the operation. Spartek is a small company, however their investment in equipment for this job wasn't lacking. Besides their bucket truck they brought a monster wood chipper, a Bobcat mini skid-loader with tracks for moving trunk sections, three haul trucks, and a hydraulically controlled stump grinder. Spartek is probably as good as this gets, and their pricing was lower than the company I'd been using for years based upon false claims of insurance and ISA certification, until I wised up. Highly recommended.

We had Tree Images remove two large (60 ft) Ash trees from our back yard. We had two other quotes prior to getting the quote from tree images. The other two quotes were both in the neighborhood of $2500-$2700. Tree images gave us a quote of about $1200. I had seen from other reviews that their pricing typically beat other companies, and that they had great overall reviews for the quality of the work performed. Initially, Shane told me that it would take a couple months for them to get to my job, but they called me up a month early and asked if they could perform the work. I was fine with that and had them come out. They cut both trees down, ground the stumps and removed the debris, and I had them leave the larger parts of the trees so I could use for firewood. they left that in 4 foot sections in a pile in the back. It took a few hours with my own chain saw to cut those into smaller, firewood sized, sections, but given the cost savings from the other companies it was worth it. Tree images cleaned up nicely when the were done. To be honest, it didn't even look like they had been there after they'd finished. Forget the larger companies out there, save yourself the money and go with Tree Images you get a more personalized experience, and probably better quality, for a much cheaper price.
