Recent Review: They gave us an estimate promptly when just a few shingles were missing and then we delayed several months until an entire section of shingles was flapping loose after a wind storm. We called back with a more urgent request and they were very gracious, honoring the first estimate and coming out to perform a quick-fix repair on those shingles for only a trip charge of about $56 before coming back (in about two weeks) to put on a new roof. (Another company had quoted it as a $700 repair in addition to their re-roofing estimate.) We did not have to wait long, got a good new roof we actually love, and two other minor repairs were also performed (loose siding and repainting a vent cover). We got good information and a good result at a good price.

Recent Review: We are exceptionally pleased with the work that was done to our home. Mike, his wife Mary and their crew treated our home as if it was theirs. The job took a little over three weeks and a good portion of that was devoted to prep work. The company that painted our home last time was fast and sloppy and the prep was minimal. With Hatton Quality Painting every attention was paid to detail, making sure our home was well prepped and the finish paint job (which was brushed not sprayed) looked beautiful. They were on time, easy to be around, they worked hard and they kept the site clean. I told Mike that I thought we went from the worst painting experience to the best with Hatton Quality Painting. Recent Review: I began research on this huge undertaking on Angie's List. I interviewed several carpenters at first because I thought I could have my rotting wood siding repaired, then painted. Each of the three "reputable" carpenters either didn't follow through with an estimate, or each had different strategies to fix rotting wooden vertical siding. The hard part is repairing the horrible drip board! It rots and it is virtually impossible to properly fix. It was going to cost me about $12,000 to have it repaired and painted. Instead I chose to get it all resided, and be "done" with it. I ended up using Superior products due primarily from a referral from the realtor who sold us the house in 2000. Superior came in about 30% lower than the other companies we interviewed. I worked with John, one of the owners of Superior products. He is professional, courteous and friendly. He always made sure I was happy with all the details. They first removed the old balcony, and about a month later did the siding. The siding took about 12 days. It would have been about 7-8 days, but they had underestimated the amount of siding for the job so it was a few days longer (no problem for me). Shawn's crew was great. they do excellent work. They were great about clean up, and getting the overall "look" right. I was on sight to spot check little details. This is important, as there were several little things like the chalking on the lower patio door that had to be redone. They were easy about tweaking things until I was satisfied. After the siding was done I asked John about new windows, I was looking for a "deal," given how much money I was spending and wanted to max out my government tax credit for energy saving stuff. the Siding that was used did not qualify for the government credit because it has the insulation shot into it, instead of being a separate board (government BS). For another $2,500 - ish I got the 8 new windows (American vinyl). they installed them when I was away on business in September. When I returned I noticed that there was some drywall cracking between two of the windows. I was busy and wasn't sure if it was an issue. In March, I noticed I had water staining on my ceiling in my office, underneith my chimney flashing. I went up on the roof and noticed there was a whole section of flashing that hadn't been caulked. I called John and he sent out a crew about a week later. They sealed up the flashing, and no problem since then. I asked the head of the crew to look at the broken drywall inside to see if he'd ask to have it repaired or not, he said "yes, I would, and call the office directly." So I called the superior office, this time I talked with "another owner" (I didn't catch his name). I told him about all the work I had done, and the crew chief's recommendation. He was rude, and basically said no he wouldn't fix it. He said that broken drywall is normal with window replacement. An annoying ending to an overall positive process.

Recent Review: He was very professional. He gave me the bottom line regarding the necessary repairs. He was fair and square and was very honest about the damages. He was supposed to inspect my storage shed but he forgot to so they need come back out.

Recent Review: They were here abt 2 to 2 1/2 hours total. No mess left from either the siding repair or the gutter cleaning. I observed them entire time; they both seemed to know what they were doing, and no mistakes made measuring, cutting, or securing the trim.

Recent Review: Cody arrived on time and we reviewed my list of 26 items. He got right to work and I made sure that I had the list in priority order. He helped with moving furniture, inspecting sump system, insaliing surround sound, wood repair and sealing around windows, fixing garage door opener, hanging heavy mirrors and replacing lights in high locations. He also made sheet rock repairs and replaced my hand rails on stairs. In all he was able to knock out 21 of my 26 item list. I will have him back in the spring to fix a few more things. Great Job, very courteous and professional. I even have a new basketball net.

Recent Review: I have used Greg Jungkuntz, the owner of Smiley's Painting and Home Repair, for several small jobs over the last couple of years, and have always been very pleased with his work. This year he painted the entire exterior of my house. I had waited a little too long to get this done, so there was a lot of repair work to be done due to weather damage over the years. He did a wonderful job. He was very meticulous and gave conscientious attention to every detail. He helped me pick the colors, and repaired siding, trim, and window sills, as well as painting. My neighbors have been very complimentary about how nice the house looks now. He was very responsive to my requests, and made sure that I was happy with what he was doing at every stage. I would recommend him for all kinds of handyman work as well as painting, both because of the high quality of the work he does, and because he is very reasonable in his pricing. He responds quickly in an emergency, too, as I learned when I had a leaky basement problem. He helped me diagnose the problem, find the right vendor to fix the outside drainage problem which caused the leak, and cleaned and painted the affected room. I recommend him highly.

Recent Review: I called 4 companies prior to Mr. Handyman for an estimate to have my fascias repaired. None of the 4 showed up. I called Mr. Handyman and they scheduled an appointment for the next day to give an estimate. Tom arrived right on schedule and provided a complete estimate for the intended repairs. I called and scheduled the work to be done. I only had to wait 3 days for the job to start.Tom arrived on time, worked constantly in very hot and humid conditions, did a great job repairing and replacing sections of my fascia; and cleaning, painting and reattaching my gutters. The job looks great. He cleaned up after the job. I was completely satisfied with the job. I will call them first should I need any other repairs done.
