Although I was surprised to hear I needed to purchase a new sump pump, the serviceman's explanation of the problems and lifespan of sump pumps made the decision easy.

Steve Jones Plumbing LLC
Their attention to detail was really good. In fact, they put the owner's name for the sump pump; they put it down above our sump pump and they put it above the sump pump and they put a date. So, you know it's those sort of things. I'm sure it's small, but at the same time, it shows their attention to detail. I'm having them come out on Monday, to replace my garbage disposal. The price I would not have because it was 2012, March 8th. They hauled off the old sump pump. They put the owner's name above the sump pump

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
1) It took 3 trips to get the problem solved. Not only was the sump pump defective, the drain line from the sump pump outside was defective as well. The initial trip involved replacing the sump pump, the second trip involved resolving sump pump not pumping water out. Replaced check valve to no avail. The third trip involved completing the sump pump problem and resolving an independent problem with the drain line and stack. Never-the-less, they were responsive and professional about getting the problems fixed. They ended up bringing in a service to air out and dehumidify the basement from the sump pump problems. Despite the multiple visits, in the end we felt like the problem was resolved

Steve Jones Plumbing LLC
This is the second time I have used Steve Jones Plumbing. They are very professional and reasonably priced. I was looking at battery operated sump pumps to have as a back-up in case the power went out or my main sump pump stopped working. Todd recommended a water powered sump pump. I liked this option because there was no battery to service, and if the power was out for a long period of time the water powered sump pump would keep working as opposed to a battery powered sump pump that would only last as long as the battery. Todd and Steve installed the back-up sump pump in just a couple of hours and left the area clean. I will definitely call them again when I need plumbing work done

The Basement Doctor of Cincinnati
I had the sump pump replaced by Basement Doctors Cincinnati during July 2013 with 3 years parts and labor warranty. Late Sunday evening (April 2015), when it was raining, found that the sump pump was not working. Called the local Cincinnati number and spoke with Matt. After couple of troubleshooting steps over the phone, he said he'll come over and replace the sump pump. In about 20 minutes, Matt came over and replaced the sump pump with no extract charge. Matt did not have a 1/2 HP sump pump on the truck, so temporarily put in a 1/3 HP and said he will follow-up and get it replaced with a 1/2 HP pump early this week. Excellent service

VanDusen Plumbing LLC
Mr. Van Dusen was very friendly and polite. He opened up the sump pit and examined and checked the entire system - main sump and backup sump pump. He also examined and checked the backup battery. He found that the main sump pump was not working, which activated the backup sump pump. He then opened up the circuit breaker box and saw that the breaker supplying electricity to the sump pumps was loose and turned off. When the breaker was put back and turned on, the sump pumps worked and the battery backup case stopped beeping. Everything was working, The entire visit lasted under 45 minutes. I am pleased with Mr. Van Dusen's work and will hire him again for future plumbing work

They dug out the exterior of the basement wall to a width of three feet, cleaned the wall and fixed any cracks and sealed the wall. They installed drainage material to the wall, installed a well and sump pump. They installed a French drain and a new drain line to the sewer and hooked up the downspouts and sump pump to the new drain

STEVE CROPPER PLUMBING
Steven did a great job replacing our pedestal style sump pump with a submersible style sump pump so that we could have a radon remediation system installed. The work was done in a very timely manner and there was no mess left behind.

After checking my sump pump he told me that my sump pump was okay. It didn't come on because the float was stuck. He adjusted the float . I appreciated that he was honest about what was wrong.

Our sump pump failed and we had water damage. I called Tarvin Plumbing first thing in the morning and they were out within a couple of hours. The time it took him to replace the sump pump was less than an hour. He was very courteous and confident in his work.

They quickly replaced our sump pump (had all parts on hand) and were very friendly and professional.
About 4 years ago, we were told by another company we needed $20,000 of waterproofing in our basement because our "foundation was floating in water and it was coming up through where it met the walls" into the basement. We never did it hoping for the best. Then 3 years ago on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, part of our basement had 1-2" of water in again it one morning after a lot of rain. We ended up calling Sohan and sons to see if there was anything we could do to shore it up before the holiday and deal with possibly getting waterproofing afterwards. SOOOO glad we did. He came out asap, asked if we had checked the sump pump (DUH! on us) - we hadn't but had heard it whirring on and off as normal so did not think it was the sump - He said, "Well, let's rule that out first." Guess what, the sump pump was burnt out and was only making noise not pumping any water. In addition, he found that they pump had been dug improperly and not up to code by the original builder!! It was not the correct size (way too small), needed about another foot dug underneath it (it was level with the top of the hole under the hood) and had no gravel at the bottom. The other companies had said our sump was working great which actually was not the case. They were more interested in getting us to buy into the waterproofing job. S&S said they want to find the cause and fix it vs selling someone something they do not need. My husband was picky about our next pump so had S&S order a specific one. The guys who were to install it picked it up the day before TG, had to remove the concrete around the general hole to dig a bigger and deeper hole to get the new pump in where the inadequately sized and positioned original sat. They worked hard, were extremely polite and were there all day. When they were almost done and ready to repour the concrete, there was an issue with the new pump - it worked but the place they ordered it from gave them the wrong brand. So, they cleaned up thoroughly, left the incorrect pump in and made sure it was working so we would not have to worry about it during the continuing rain and over the long holiday weekend when we had guests over. They came back to install the correct one, repour the concrete and complete the job. We also had a battery back up installed so in case the power went out it would keep working. They left that corner of our basement SPOTLESS!! It has been 3 years with absolutely no issues. Our power recently went out for an extended period and our house damaged during a tornadic event that devastated our neighborhood. That trusty back up kicked in and worked until the power came back on. S&S said that we should not have any wetness or seepage in the basement anymore and it has stayed bone dry every day since. AND, we saved about $19,000 by trusting S&S at their word. We would gladly recommend to anyone. Honest, fast, and care about their customers
I have used him for years. In 20 minutes he had my problem figured out. He is very honest and works with me. He explains what needs to be done to me. He does the job the right way. He tells me what he is going to do and does not try to up sale me. He works to help me. I recommend him to every one. He is very personable and helpful. He is just fantastic
This company has replaced my sump pump, installed a driveway grate and replaced the main service lines. They have done good work, comes with a warranty, and prices were very fair. Good value for the money, owner runs a great business with knowledgeable employees. They are fast and clean with all their work! Highly recommend
We had an extremely positive experience with Ohio Basement Authority. We had an excellent experience with Tyler who we purchased the services from and an excellent experience from both of the installers themselves - Stephen and Ivan. They went above and beyond throughout (too many examples to list) and were professional, friendly and courteous with a strong work ethic and principles. A few unexpected problems arose during the installation and they took ownership and made it right. I could not have been more impressed. Lastly, after all of the work was done, Tyler swung by to check how things went and even offered to help put things back in the basement. Excellent experience and cannot recommend Ohio Basement Authority enough
The job went Extremely Well! Work Performed June 12, 2019 This was my first time looking for a truly real, qualified plumber, because I could no longer trust the work of pseudo plumbers. I had a busted indoor basement pipeline that connected to an outdoor spigot, that caused quite a bit of water damage in my basement, so I needed to find the best plumber, at a reasonable price, and a company that would apply the diagnostic charge to the total charge of the work done. I spent several hours researching plumbing companies, reviewed a great deal of customers’ reviews on each company, and I called a few that had the best reviews. One of my initial calls was to Archer Plumbing Company. The phone was answered promptly by Allan, a very pleasant man (a good sign). I explained what was going on, he asked a few questions, and was able to quote a ballpark figure of what it might cost. I told him I had to make a few more calls before I could decide on a company, but so far, they seemed to be the best, and met all my requirements. In the end, Archer Plumbing was the number one choice by far. I called Allan back and scheduled an appointment. The next day I called and changed the scheduled date to an earlier date, and Allan was very flexible and accommodating. Allan called on June 12, the scheduled date, to let me know that the plumbers were on their way. Chuck and Matthew arrived promptly. I was happy that they had shoe covers (thumbs up), so I didn’t have to offer mine. Chuck was very knowledgeable, proficient and efficient. Both were very polite and pleasant. In addition to replacing the busted pipeline and spigot, they replaced the toilet fill valve and seal in two toilet tanks, and Chuck gave me some general, helpful maintenance tips, as well as addressed a few of my concerns with future plumbing projects. I was very pleased that the cost was within the ballpark figure that Allan had quoted for the busted pipe repair. Needless to say, I highly recommend Archer Plumbing. First impression and experience are lasting! I admire their honesty and integrity. I have already recommended Archer Plumbing to my friends and family. This company exceeds customers’ expectations in all areas of service. They deliver Five Star Service, at a reasonable price, and they offer a one year warranty on their work. Archer Plumbing has gained a new loyal customer. Blessings on the company! Cynthia
I have used Copper Pipe several times. He is always on time, honest, and fair. He installed a new sump pump and showed me how to be sure it was running. I had a new washer delivered to the second floor of my house and the installers disconnected the pipes in the process. He fixed their mess and repaired an ice maker that another plumber did not finish. I have referred several friends to Copper Pipe and they have all been very happy
Great. I was without any water for four days. They took pity on me and had the plumber there within the hour. He performed the work in two hours. His name was Mike. He was great. Thank you Ken Herbert Plumbing.!!
Power went over night and we got over 3 inches of rain so we had surface water in the basement. Called J&D and asked about systems for backup, they thoroughly answered all my questions, and they gave me an estimate via the phone. I scheduled the work and they came at scheduled time and installed the additional pump. Technician was extremely knowledgeable and helpful answering more of my questions while he was working

What do customers in Cincinnati say about Sump Pump Repair?
great. I had everything ready, area exposed, water removed. They didn't even enter the craw space. I was surprised that two men came, A plumber and his helper. Both very polite, efficient, and they cleaned up afterwards( old pvc piece, valve) Bill seemed a little high for the amount of time, but plumber explaned his hourly rate and the helpers hourly rate. OK I' still use them but ask for one not two men
