We are licensed in painting, water damage, drying, bacteria remediation (mold growth) and Lead renovation.

Recent Review: My mother is elderly and needed her basement dried after flooding from heavy rains. The insurance company recommended Dry Patrol out of Carlisle, OH. They came out and met with my mother, myself, and my husband. They stated it would be $2500.00 to do what we needed done. They also told us they would reduce it by $500.00 if we took up the wet carpet, pad and removed all baseboards, which we did this. The total bill should have been $2000.00. My mother paid $1,000.00 up front and the rest was due upon completion. We called on a Friday during normal business hours. They couldn't come until Saturday. They charged us for "weekend/after hours" and yet it was on THEM that they couldn't come on Friday. Their equipment was old, they didn't have the correct extension cords to support the equipment (as admitted by their workers), and the equipment kept blowing the circuit breakers. Every time this happened we had to wait for them to come back and re-start everything. Keep in mind they charge you for the amount of time you have their equipment. They charged almost $200.00 for masks/gloves as this was when Covid was first shutting down businesses in mid March. Never did I see their employees wear any masks/gloves. They also charged approximately $600.00 to supposedly clean their equipment due to Covid!? Never saw them do this either and the equipment was dirty. After waiting for a final bill, expecting to pay the last $1,000.00 Dry Patrol sent a bill to my mother for approximately $5,000.00!? Upon calling to verify this bill and state this was NOT the agreed upon amount of $2000.00 the man became nasty and told my mother he would mark her as not paying and turn her into collections!? My husband called them and the man would not return his call. I checked their reviews on Facebook and found multiple other complaints against their company regarding billing practices and the fact they don't return phone calls. Ironically all of their reviews on Facebook have been hidden by them as it is their page and they control what they want people to see. That speaks volumes. They don't have high marks on the BBB review section either. They clearly are trying to take advantage of my mother who is 77. We were all present when the man gave the quote, and yet they billed her for almost 3x more than agreed!?! CONSUMER BEWARE!!!!

Recent Review: They went above and beyond what they said they were going to do. They are efficient and well organized.

Recent Review: we called them early in the morning when we discovered the basement had a couple inches of standing water throughout the basement. this was after a record rainfall the previous evening and overnight. They responded quickly and were at our house within an hour of our call. After the water was removed and equipment was in place we had another vendor come to clear the sewer line. Unfortunately the sewer line had broken after 55 yrs and water would no longer freely flow. After 4 days, 1-800-Water Damage returned and removed all equipment after they determined the closed spaces had dried. We highly recommend them to anyone who has either standing water to remove or water damage to treat.

Recent Review: The Dry Effect team was extremely responsive and punctual. They showed up on time and assessed the water damage around a window. They determined that there was no mold present, but indicated that some repair work should be done. I was actually advised to perform the work on my own instead of paying them to do so. They then told me exactly how to do the job. Extremely helpful and trustworthy service.

Recent Review: Advanta Clean of Cinti. was very prompt. Owner came out on Saturday to access damages and by Monday they were here with a crew. They came daily until the job was completed. Some days the company checked the fans and moisture twice. Insurance company sent someone to do the initial work (they sent a different contractor for my area) and the company said it had eliminated the moisture. Found not to be true! There was still considerable moisture in the walls studs, rafters and crawlspace. In my opinion, the time delay caused by using the initial company/sub contractor caused more damage for our insurance company to pay. In the end, that cost is passed on to consumers. I would not recommend using someone the insurance company sends.

Recent Review: They were prompt and courteous. Determined the origin of the water leak and the extent of the damage. They set up a containment area to protect the rest of the basement before using any chemicals or cutting the drywall. They removed and disposed of the involved carpet. The technician was professional and explained the process and made recommendations on best route to take.
