Carpetland Carpet One Tri-County

In the showroom, the salesman (Jerry) was very helpful in deciding between vinyl and laminate flooring in my kitchen. He pointed out the pros and cons of each. Once I made the selection, we made an appointment for him to measure and quote a final price. He arrived on time and gave me a cost right away. While he was there, he looked at another area I'm considering replacing, and advised me on the best solution for that as well. I found Jerry to be very knowledgeable and considerate. Once the flooring was ready, he called to schedule a drop-off time and an installation date. The installer, Curtis, arrived on time and installed the floor in a few hours. He was very polite and even offered to help return some storage pieces to the kitchen for me. The quality of the floor is excellent. It withstood heavy Christmas activities and looks great. I really like that Carpetland uses their own installers and does not subcontract their work. I had a bad experience with Home Depot subs a few years ago, so I wanted a company with direct reports to do my next job. After the installation, Jerry called to check on the work and ask if we were satisfied with our floor. I highly recommend Carpetland, and I will shop with them again.

The kitchen floor is now cracking in four or five spots. Additionally, the floor was cut too short and now the sub-flooring is showing through in a couple of spots. When I called him about it he became very confrontational and kept blaming the issue on the flooring and not on his installation. He continued his tirade while on the phone with me until he eventually hung up on me.

SIMPLY FLOORS

In the sales room, we were greeted promptly and given excellent service as we decided what type of flooring would be best for us. We were given just the right amount of help selecting several samples to take home. At home, we actually chose the sample the salesperson suggested. The installers arrived right on time and were very professional. They completed the job in two days and cleaned up nicely each day. Our floors are beautiful and I just love them. I was very happy with every part of this, and will definitely use Simply Floors again in the future.

ALL ABOUT FLOORS

This was an awesome experience from the beginning! I contacted three separate vendors for flooring quotes on a condo I recently purchased. The challenging part was trying to find someone that could help me create the vision in my mind to the canvas in front of us. The owner at All About Floors was different from the rest of the vendors. Other than being on time and professional, he LISTENED to what I wanted. When something couldn't be done - he would tell me the closest option possible to keeping everything on task. The end result was beautiful flooring on a three level condo. I'm extremely happy with the outcome and would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for an honest, local company that believes in their customers' visions and believes that they can make those visions come true.

My contractor suggested JP Flooring in West Chester, and told me that I could use his contractor's discount. I found what I wanted at their impressive showroom and was assisted in selecting the right materials for our large finished basement. The prices were a bit higher than those at another highly rated retailer, but I mentioned my contractor's name and asked if I could use his discount...The salesperson said that I could, she'd just have to find out who handled that account. When I started receiving invoices for the three different flooring materials I had chosen, they contained very few details; I had trouble discerning which invoice pertained to which product, and how the costs of material, labor, etc. were calculated. When the salesperson called to get a deposit for the flooring, I asked again if I would get the contractor's discount, and she told me that she would check on it (again). Installers visited our home three times over the course of two months, as the delivery and installation of materials had to be coordinated with other aspects of our remodel. The scheduling team did a fine job getting appointments on the calendar and communicating with me. A problem arose when the hardwood flooring was being installed around the bar area and the installers informed me that they didn't have enough material, and that the carpet would encroach upon the space required for bar seating. Unfortunately, the representative who had come to measure our basement had not provided any guidance regarding the bar area, so I had estimated where the wood should end and the carpet should start. (I subsequently talked to the salesperson about this, and she had told me that the space required around a bar is a standard measurement, and the gentleman who did the measuring should have advised me accordingly.) I told the installers that I wasn't about to pay for them to come out again and install more hardwood (this portion of the project was already costing over $2000). The lead installer assured me that if it could be left as-is, then completed when they returned to install the laminate flooring (in a separate area of the basement), then it shouldn't cost anything because they would be there already. I touched base with my salesperson to confirm the plan. As the rest of our new flooring was installed and the remodel progressed, I received credit card receipts and invoices at random intervals in the mail from JP Flooring. I understand that they charge a deposit when materials are ordered, then process the remaining balance once a job is complete. However, I now have ten separate and different invoices from JP Flooring, and seven separate charges on my credit card. Their convolluted invoicing and processing methods have made the flooring the most confusing part of our remodel project (and it was a rather complicated project). I was charged more than the original invoice for the hardwood, because another box of hardwood flooring had to be ordered to complete the job...But that was not evident on the paperwork I received after my credit card had already been charged $214 more than the amount I had authorized. So, I never did get the contractor's discount and I was charged more than I had agreed to pay, without my knowledge or consent. I contacted the billing office at JP Flooring to address this issue and I was referred to my salesperson. She said she would look into it and call me back...

PRO FLOORING

I had laminate flooring put down throughout my whole house by Pro Flooring as a subcontractor though Lowes a couple of years ago. After the original job was done I would recommend them to anyone who were in the market for flooring installers. I now have a couple of laminate strips coming unglued so I decided to call Pro Flooring since they did the original job so that they hopefully do the repair work. Both my husband and I tried calling them to get an estimate and all I got was voice mail and my husband did speak to someone who said it could be done but the individual would call back with half an hour as he was not in yet. That individual never called back and after that one time of speaking to someone all my husband got was voice mail where he left messages but never received a call back. I will be going with someone else to do the repair.

Recent Review: We had our carpet professional remove carpet that had been placed over a cherry wooden floor in a kitchen. The kitchen floor adjoins a foyer entryway that includes more cherry wood flooring. Fabulous Floors brought in a few flooring professionals to refinish the floor - including sanding, resurfacing and adding wooden trim. They did a good job except for an area where the floor lacquer looked "poured on" and uneven. It took some time, but they finally returned to work on that area again. Although the area with the uneven surface wasn't fixed quite as well as we might expect, the overall job made the flooring look nice.
