Cincinnati Concrete Sidewalk Installation

They replaced the driveway and tore out the concrete sidewalk without a permit from the city of Cinti. They could not pour concrete without a permit which took over a week to obtain. The city inspector they had to raise the asphalt up to meet the sidewalk. I couldn't use my garage for over a week and I wound up with a hand patch of asphalt where it meets the sidewalk. Looks terrible. Also, the city marked an additional 8 sections of sidewalk that I had to replace.

I had been waiting weeks for another concrete company to come out and do the job, so I called Jim Judd and he had the job completed within a week. He has the equipment, crew and know-how to get the job done correctly and on time. Very satisfied.

I called O'Leary Concrete after I had misgivings of an ongoing job with another contractor. Kevin was very responsive in coming out and taking a look at what needed done, and was great with communicating when they were coming out and coordinating around bad weather. It was nice when they would explain what they were doing if I had questions and would show me during the process key things/steps that were ongoing. You can tell by watching them that they are experienced. They also provide helpful tips with taking care of the concrete and my driveway as well. I can't stress enough the importance of doing research and checking the trends of reviews when looking for a service. Also, you pay for what you get. Don't let yourself get pulled into a deal with a company that isn't reputable. Always check them out before you sign anything! You WILL pay for it. I called Tensing a few months back to get my driveway redone so I had a previous business relationship with them. Instead of my driveway, I had the walkway replaced. I was given orders by the US Navy to move to Virginia so I was on a very tight schedule. I called Paul on Wed and his brother, Mark came out and did the work on that next Saturday! I was surprised not only at the speed of the schedule but that Mark was willing to come out on a weekend. Wow, did he do a great job! It would have taken me at least three days to get accomplished what he did in only one. The quality is outstanding and the only downside is that I can enjoy the walkway for only one more week! I give a "B" for price only because I didn't compare. Mark admits that they're not the cheapest in town -- and that's not what I'm looking for. I want the best quality and that's exactly what they delivered. Mark is a great guy, extremely polite and explained exactly what he was doing the whole time.

Kevin was fantastic! He called before arriving, he called ahead of time if his availability changed, he called when the job was complete as I was not in town. I called a number of concrete companies at the same time, as well as used the concrete recommedation from the local realtor. I couldn't believe the quick response for all of them to see the job and the lack of response to receive a quote. Kevin did a great job, the area was marked to keep everyone off the sidewalk. He was quick. He did all of the job in one day. Oh and by the way he was the lowest quote, once I finally received the other estimates. You would have thought his competitors were quoting an entire driveway, rather than 6 feet of sidewalk. I am already thinking of other projects where we may have the opportunity to call Pioneer back the house.

They were very eager for our business (and money). In the beginning they were very professional and prompt. Once they received our payment, their service and responsiveness was unprofessional and disrespectful. Mike Handorf was hard to get in touch with and when he said someone would be out to follow-up it took weeks. We also had asked for an estimate (in the beginning) for a water problem on our side yard, and we never received one, although they came out and surveyed the yard. We dealt with the company on and off for a whole year. I would not recommend Sharon Nursery.

It went very well. I'm very happy. They were very friendly. They showed up when they said they would. I was very happy with the finished product. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they left cigarrette butts around.

Was referred to me by someone. Got out there quickly, bid it competitively, and got it done on time! Great.

Mark Ware gave me an estimate and performed the work within 2 weeks, on schedule. He replaced the sidewalk in front of my home. Work was finished within 2 days. Clean up was excellent. Staff was friendly. I am very pleased with the finished work.

The day of the installation they were on time, and everything happened just like they said it would, the experience they have in this type of work shows! My sidewalk curves and needed to be sloped to help with water drainage which was designed by the owner- and is just stunning! - it’s wider than the old one and it was his idea to make it level with our front porch! I am so happy we made the decision to go with O’Leary’s Concrete! You will be too!

I sent a request for an estimate via Angie's List on 7/23/12, and waited for one week with no reply. I described my project as a sidewalk 75'x4'. My guess is that this is not a big enough project to interest this contractor.

Jack Boiman Sons & Daughters performed a major excavation of my home's front foundation wall, stabilized the wall by pouring a "doubler wall" and tying the two together with steel staples. This job was a major undertaking to water proof my basement and assure the wall does not continue to crack and bow inward. Doug Hausfeld developed a detailed proposal after a thorough evaluation of my basement wall cracks and need for proper draining and structural support of the old wall. Doug was on time for the aproposal and professional in every manner, unlike his competitor who spent much of his time criticizing the competition. A four man crew showed up Monday morning on time to complete the three day project. I was impressed with their professionalism and experience. The foreman on the job has 24 years experience with Jack Boiman Sons & Daughters and Don Boiman, the owner with 34 years experience was part of the crew working hard. You can't beat that for experience. I was home during the entire three day project and pleased with every aspect of the job. The crew was friendly and worked very hard always with a caring attitude about my home and surroundings. I would recommend this company for all waterproofing jobs without hesitation. Excellent workmanship and great price.
