GUARDIAN INSPECTIONS

Brian was friendly and professional. He answered all of our questions and explained everything. It was obvious that he is very knowledgeable and experienced at what he does. He gave us a detailed report that was color coded to highlight problems that were either "marginal" or "defective". His inspection was very thorough. He found problems that we would never have noticed on our own. The house had a partially finished basement with an area for storage and some crawl space that was unfinished. Brian climbed back into the crawl space to inspect the whole area. We were surprised because we didn't even know that the crawl space existed. He found water and mold in the crawl space and additional mold under the basement ceiling. He showed us the mold and explained the difference between the different types of mold that exist. He also answered all of our questions and did a humidity reading in the area. As a result, we had him do extra testing to determine how much mold was present . His inspection and report gave us the information we needed to make an informed decision about the house. I am glad we called Brian because I am not sure that every inspector would have crawled back into the crawl space the way he did. If he hadn't, we might not have been aware of the water that was seeping into the area. We also had a termite inspection and radon testing done. John did the termite inspection and Kathryn did the radon testing. They were both friendly and professional and gave us separate reports of what they found. We will definitely call Guardian Inspections in the future and we highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a home inspector.

THIS WAS OUR THIRD WHOLE HOUSE INSPECTION EXPERIENCE (THREE DIFFERENT HOMES OVER PAST 17 YEARS). MR. MCMAHON DID THE MOST THOROUGH AND PROFESSIONAL INSPECTION. UNLIKE MANY INSPECTIONS, HE WENT ON THE ROOF, IN THE ATTIC, INTO THE CRAWL SPACE. HE THOROUGHLY INSPECTED ALL MAJOR MECHANICALS AND PROVIDED MAINTENANCE & SERVICE SUGGESTIONS. GREAT INSPECTOR, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Working with Chris was a great experience from start to finish. This house has a tiny crawl space but rather than using a camera, he and another person, suited up and wiggled underneath the house to thoroughly inspect the crawl space. During the inspection we realized that the gas was not turned on at the house so Chris came back 2 days later to complete the inspection at no additional fee. We also smelled mold and he was available with all the right equipment to perform a mold test to determine the levels of mold on the property. My final report was sent to me in a very nice book form that can be kept for future reference and store nicely. I would recommend this company to anyone. He is knowledgeable, friendly and a true expert!

Phenomenal job! Professional communication. Timely manner. Fair pricing! I would recommend this company 10/10 times for any basement or crawl space water proofing. We had the best experience after speaking with numerous water proofing companies who told us our crawl space job was too difficult and too large scale. Jason and his team did not hesitate and completely encapsulated our entire crawlspace. They came within a week and finished the work in a timely manner. I will continue to recommend this company!

We had a wet crawl space with some rotting joists. Jason encapsulated the 2500 sq ft space, added a second sump pump, a dehumidifier, and a back-up battery. The house is no longer rotting away beneath us. Jason did a fabulous job and is a real quality individual. With his maintenance plan, all the mechanicals have their warranties extended. So we're dry and protected in the future. Jason and his company are among the best in this industry and we're lucky to have him in our hometown area. Thanks Jason.

After 15+ years of dealing with the huge temperature variations throughout my house I finally decided to look at insulating/encapsulating our crawl space. I had 3 different companies come out to look at my situation. Healthy Basement Concepts was not only less expensive overall, but explained why I did not need the drain tile the other guys said "was all part of the package" or "as long as were down there it couldn't hurt" (other than the $2k+ it added to the cost). Healthy Basement Concepts ended up approx. 30% cheaper than my other two estimates. Jason (owner) told me that they would be here at 8:00am on a Monday to get started and it would take them 2-2.5 days to complete. They were in the driveway at 7:58am Monday to get started and were finished in 1.5 days. Exceeding my expectations based on dealing with contractors in the past. Jason and his crew were friendly and professional and left the house cleaner than they found it. The end results have made a HUGE difference in my home. Prior to having the work done I used a thermometer to take temperature readings throughout my house for a couple days and did the same after, the results speak for themselves: Prior to Encapsulating: Thermostat set to 71*: 1st Floor (on coffee table) - 71*, 1st Floor (on floor) - 66*, Master Bedroom - 79*, Spare Bedroom - 77* After Encapsulating: Thermostat set to 71*: 1st Floor (on coffee table) - 71*, 1st Floor (on floor) - 70*, Master Bedroom - 72*, Spare Bedroom - 72* The difference has been so drastic that the first evening the project was done I went and checked to make sure I didn't blow a breaker because it was 22* outside and the heat was not running. It was 71* in the house but I simply was not use to the heat not running constantly when the outside temp was below freezing. I could not be happier with the end result and the overall experience working with Healthy Basement Concepts.

OUTSTANDING. Did a lot of research and consulted four contractors before going with Jason Fry and Healthy Basement Concepts. Jason did an excellent job, when scheduled and was a pleasure to deal with. Pricing was very competitive and the customer service exceeded our expectations. Good customer service and workmanship is hard to fine these days, but Jason Fry and HBC of Cincinnati is the exception. We would highly recommend Jason and HBC for any basement issues and believe you will not be disappointed.

Jason was great. He helped us quickly come up with the right solution for our basement and crawling space at our initial meeting and provided pricing right away. He brought out his team for the work the week after, did a great job, and left the site clean. He is also easy to reach and responds promptly. Very professional and reliable!

Recent Review: I had a few quotes done for this job. My crawlspace was holding water and mold was starting to form under my house. Marty came by for an estimate. Marty gave me a no hassle or pressured quote. He told me what needed to be done and his quote came in cheaper than the others. The crew, Kendrick and Lonnie, came out on time as scheduled. I was kept up to date at the end of every day that they were there as to what they were doing. They kept the work site clean and even finished before it was estimated they would. The crawl space looks better and dryer than ever. Any questions I have ran into afterward Marty has gotten back in touch with me to stand by their work.
