Cincinnati Hardie Board Installation

My house is all brick but one third of the front is siding. It was aluminum and they replaced that with hardie board. I have nothing but good things to say about them. They were on time. They did the work and it looks beautiful. Hardie board is better quailty than the previous product and I am happy with it.

They installed a specialty siding called Hardy Board siding. We have a lot of companies do work and they did what they said they were going to. They were very accurate and precise with their work. From start to finish they said what they were going to do and did it. Their quality was excellent.

When the two layers of siding were removed the team found that we had structural damage. Our house was built in the 1830's and is post and beam construction. The sill and second floor support beam had been damaged by water and insects and needed to be replaced! Even though Dwayne, Robert and David had never worked on post and beam construction they accepted the challenge and figured out how to replace the two pieces without having the house fall down! The work they did was great. The insulation was replaced, plywood panels were installed and Hardiewrap was placed over everything. When the work was completed everything was cleaned up. (I asked Dwayne if they could clean they whole yard while they were here!) The Hardieboard siding is beautiful, the house looks 100% better. The cost was in line with the level of work that they had to do. I am saving up to have them work on the front of the house!

Excellent! Eddie Allen and his company did a fantastic job! People walking down the street all the time comment how wonderful the makeover looks. His team was conscientious, on time, on budget and a pleasure to work with. They cleaned up their "mess" afterward and kept us informed throughout the job. EMA is one of three major installers of James Hardie Board in our area. They were not the cheapest bid, but they turned out to be the best bid. We would hire them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them to all.

Due to defective siding originally installed on my home, I was in the market to have the entire exterior resided. I decided on Hardie Board. After a terrible experience with my first contractor, I called the James Hardie Company to find their recommended contractor in my area. They recommended Accurate Carpentry out of Middletown. I called Kindra Hacker, the co-owner of AC and scheduled an appointment to come out and have my house measured. She arrived and began by first asking exactly what I wanted to have done. Then she and I walked around the house. She took pictures and continued to ask every conceivable question regarding my wants and needs, including things I hadn't thought of. Roughly a week later she returned to my home with a bound proposal. The proposal inlcuded photos of every part of my house with detailed descriptions of what we had discussed. I was more than impressed with the professional presentation. Though the price was more than I anticpated, I believed it would be a positive investment in my home. AC had another home already in progress so there was a delay in the start of the construction. Dwayne Hacker, the other co-owner and his crew arrived roughly 60 days later. They proceeded to removed every piece of siding from the exterior of my home. As I had expected, there where a number of damaged areas under the old siding, including a few unexpected surprises. Dwayne and his crew; Robert, Adam and Matt, replaced the wood around my chimney, corrected the slant of an and quot;eyebrowand quot; which had caused a problem with my gutters and found and corrected an insulation issue around all of my windows. Each day, the crew arrived on time and ready to work. At the end of each day, Dwayne would check the days work to insure there were no issues needing to be addressed. They then cleaned up my yard, stored their ladders and other equipment and left my yard looking the best it could while under major construction. Dwayne and his crew worked threw wind and cold and only stopped if it rained or snowed so that the siding would not be installed over the wet House Wrap. In all, AC removed all siding, wraped the house in Hardie House Wrap, repaired damaged areas previously noted, replaced soffits, eyebrows, all trim, sturdi mounts around all lights, spickets and electrical outlets, lap siding was installed and shake siding iinstalled in the gables. When completed, they re-inspected every part of the house to make sure everything had been done correctly. My house looks amazing! I can not say enough about how impressed I was with this company. Accourate Carpentry is dedicated to doing the job righ the first time. Their work ethic as well as their manners and respect for my property, was a refreshing and greatly appreciated. I would, and do recommend them to anyone wanting the job done right the first time.

They are excellent! Ian is very professional, trustworthy, is an excellent listener, and keeps his word. When siding problems have come-up, he has addressed each of them quickly and easily. Having our house re-sided has certainly increased the value of our home.

Weather slowed project down, but their team, diligently worked in very cold conditions to finish. Very Impressed! :)

They were prompt and cleaned up work site. Came back to add additional trim around chimney when we requested. Quality assurance rep for company reviewed work after completed. Happy with service and quality of work.

We liked them in terms of their quote but we haven't had any work done. We had contacted them because they specialize in the Hardy board which is what we wanted. We got other quotes and they are all very comparable. I believe they were the most expensive but we liked their proposal for the repair work.

The biggest challenge was making the final decision to make this significant home improvement. Once we did that, Ian Holmes was helpful in assisting with the color selections, worked with us on making a temporary repair to get through winter, and scheduled us for April 1st. I believe the actual start date was pushed back 1 or 2 weeks, but once on site the crew kept at it until the job was complete. The worksite was adequately cleaned and orderly at the end of each day. The weather cooperated and we only had one partial day rain delay. The team made sure the gutters remained in place in one critical area, by reinstalling the old gutters temporarily until the full gutter replacement phase of the job began. They did this without being asked, knowing it was a bit of a concern to us. There was significant attention paid to details where the James Hardie products were installed close to the ground or roofline, such that installation meets Hardie warranty requirements. They expertly accommodated the interface on our screened porch between Hardie Board siding and where some wood remains to frame the screens; here they used a matching aluminum coil product to wrap a decorative trim strip that could otherwise have been a maintenance headache. The end results look better than when the home was new, and we expect the materials and installation to last for decades to come. Even when the Hardie product needs painting again it won't require the extensive prep and patch work that the previous wood products required. Ian honored an expired quote for the job and pricing on some of the added labor (flashings and chimney cap) were reasonable. We are glad we made the investment and Holmes' team was consciences and professional to work with throughout the project.

It went very well. It took nearly 3 weeks for a crew of 4-5 people and Ian Holmes was there supervising and doing the work himself most of the time.This was in line with what we expected and were told.

Window and door installation was flawless. The siding installers were very meticulous. They added personal touches to the installation that enhanced both the beauty of the product and the quality of the installation.

Working with HTC was the most enjoyable home project to date. Heath handled all of the calls and paperwork with our insurance company and checked in with us daily to ensure we were satisfied customers. The crew that worked at our house (Courtney, Dave, Anthony and Hayden) did an amazing job under the supervision of Jason. The group of young men that installed the gutters were fast and efficient. We would HIGHLY recommend HTC Roofing and look forward to working with them again!
