Chicago Termite Treatment

I had Terminex treat my house over 30 years ago and I have been paying about $300 per year (approximately $9,000 plus the initial charge for whole house treatment) for the service warranty. There was a second treatment in one local area when I found live termites some years back (I don't remember when). When we redid the kitchen (about 15 yrs ago) one wall was all eaten up by termites. And now we are putting in new flooring and had to remove the subfloor and the floor boards in about 1/4 of the living room because they are all eaten up like tissue paper. The rafters under the floor are also very damaged and need replacement. While working on the flooring 2 people actually had their legs fall through the floor boards and through the ceiling into the basement. I had asked Terminex to pay for the replacement but apparently I didn't have that kind of plan. The plan I have only pays for retreatment. I have left messages for the manager (3 times - each time being told that I would be called back within 12-24 hours). The house needs a deeper inspection and retreatment before we close up the walls and floor. their usual inspection is looking around with a flash light which is inadequate based on the damage that is in my house.. They don't even want to go in the crawl spaces or attic. This apparently is not enough to check for termites. They should be knocking on the exposed boards and use a moisture meter to check for termites. The damaged boards look fine on the outside but if you knock on them you would find out they are hollow. This damage happened during the 30+ years that I have been paying them for service and I don't even get a call back let alone retreatment.

My experience with them was very good. I saw a few other companies and I was impressed with these guys the most. He was on time and professional. He did a thorough inspection of our home.

SIMPLY PUT, TERMITE TREATMENTS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE. I CHOSE TERMINIX BECAUSE THEY SEEMED TO HAVE A CASE BY CASE APPROACH TO TREATMENT. OTHER VENDORS OFFERED ONE TYPE OF TREATMENT, WHEREAS TERMINIX HAD OPTIONS. MY HOME IS MONITORED ON A MONTHLY BASIS AND SO FAR SO GOOD.

They were consistent, kept their word, timely, customer service oriented, and I can depend and rely on them. They are very responsive with great turnaround time.

George Manning is the most knowledgable individual in the field of bugs/rodents etc. After consulting another company recommended to us, we quickly became disappointed in them and contacted George knowing his reputation was by far the best. George was informative, clear and most of all, comforting. His manner is kind and quite sincere. His team is beyond courteous and they were exceptionally professional and well-trained. We would never have purchased the home if George hadn't made us feel like it was a problem they could easily remedy. George is accessible and is an expert in his field...we would never trust anyone else!

Great! Jack came out and said that there was no visible evidence of termite damage. He thought the inspector had mistaken moisture problems for termite damage. He refused to take any money.

i send Chris a photo of suspected termite. He was nice and very professional. Told me that he doesn't think they were termites. We sure will be using him to do inspection and the ant treatment.

The previous owners had termites and they used to use this company, so when we moved in we just continued the contract. I like them because they are very professional and I have no termites, so I'm satisfied.

SOME WORKMEN TOLD ME THEY THOUGHT I HAD TERMITES SO I CALLED TERMINIX FOR THEIR FREE INSPECTION WHICH TURNS OUT REALLY IS FREE. DONALD RIESTERER CAME OUT AND DID THE INSPECTION. HE IS VERY NICE. HE TOLD ME I HAD SPIDERS BUT NO TERMITES.

found no termites and did not charge. Terminex said we had termites and tried to sell us a contract. Another control place said the same thing. I always had my doubts. I would recommend this company in a heart beat.

George and Ricardo are awesome. I had spiders taking over my house and back yard, due to house being empty for a few years before i bought it and active termites in my garage from my firewood (i had piles of "sawdust" under the wood). the wood is usually outside in backyard, but i was having a new patio installed and wood needed to be moved. Ricardo did an extremely thorough inspection sprayed everywhere he could get too. Our spider problem was gone over night!!! As for the termites, Ricardo advised me George would call me back. George called and spent 30 minutes on the phone with me explaining how termites survive etc. George reassured me the termites would not spread to the garage since I had the wood on a metal stand. George further explained that the termites are more than likely dead and if not they will be dead soon since they cannot survive in wood under a certain moisture amount. sure enough, no more active termites and burned the wood when I went camping. I am extremely happy with American Pest Solutions and will definitely use them again to control the spiders in and around my house!!!

The gentleman who did the inspection was FANTASTIC!!! He was honest, informative and friendly. We would recommend and use this company in the future.

THIS COMPANY IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. THE COMPANY ARRIVES ONCE A MONTH ON TIME TO MAKE INSPECTION AND HAS RESOLVED THE TERMITE PROBLEM.
