Reviews in Chicago to Replace Swimming Pool Liner

All Seasons Pools & Spas
5.0
Got bids for liner replacement of a 10 year old pool that had begun to tear at waterline and leak water. Previous homeowners did not provide pool build measurements, so I needed someone to also make accurate measurements. All Seasons was one of three bids I received, but also offered to get the job done early in the spring due to a party I had planned for the first week of June. Dave (from Sales) was quick to respond, and answered all my questions in a timely manner. After selecting All Seasons, they quickly setup measurements and got the liner ordered. Once the liner was in, we were quickly scheduled to begin as soon as the weather began to break. The team did a great job removing the old liner, took a couple days to prep the sub surface with a new skim coat (extra cost but not entirely unexpected), and then installed the new liner. They communicated well, keeping me informed of everything that was happening each day. Overall, very happy with my experience and would recommend All Seasons again!

They are pretty much standard. They were working in the pool so they were not dressed up or anything. They were cheaper than most companies that do this work. They did not take away the garbage when they were done. They just stuffed it into bags and I had to take it down to the dumpster myself. I do not know whether they were cheaper because they did not do as much work. When you put in the liner it goes around the rim of the pool and they need to trim the extra. They did not trim it. I had to trim the liner around the edge instead of it hanging out. Not that anybody can see our pool from the street. But it looks bad to me. They did not say any of that to begin with. May be it is my fault for assuming that they would do that. So they did not take the garbage nor did they trim the liner. They were real quick. They were here for two hours and they got it done. It was a lot faster than I thought. We did not have to wait at home for them. They did show up on time. They could improve by being a little more professional. They were just laughing and goofing off around. I have a daughter and had she be playing in the yard and I would not want her to hear what they were talking about specifically the language they were using. Not that they were going over board or anything. Probably you should not be saying such words at work. Overall the work they did was good. The liner looks great, and they did it fast. As far as getting the job done goes they did it well. I will not use them in the future. I rather pay a $50 more to another company and get the garbage cleared and finish up the trimming on the liner. They will not be my first choice in the future.

They responded within a couple of hours of my first call. The pool was completely taken down and they replaced the pool liner. They were real easy to deal with the dog didn't bother them also the weather was really hot the day they came out to do the work but never bothered me for water or to use the facility. They were very nice to deal with never felt like you were talking to someone that didn't know what they were doing. They were also reasonably priced and cleaned up after themselves after the job was done.

ESPARZA POOL INSTALLATION & LANDSCAPING
5.0
Rare is it that you come across a company and people that are so amazingly different, so incredibly good, and so wonderfully consistent in their excellent performance, but that is exactly what you get with Sergio Esparza, and his wonderful employees. Our relationship with Sergio and his team has lasted the absolute test of time. For more than 10 years, from the installation of our pool to opening and closing it, as well as for maintenance, Sergio and his team have delivered nothing short of complete excellence each step of the way. They were meticulous in their installation and clean up after, and this is exactly where other pool companies that our neighbors have used have fallen short, and usually way short. Not with Esparza. They were the complete professionals and left the installation spotless and with all the details taken well care of. Opening and closing the pool has been another area of excellence where Esparza has outdone and outperformed the competition. One year we failed to schedule Sergio and it was our fault. We used another pool service and we immediately realized it was a mistake. The competition was sloppy, left a mess, and we had to redo all of the work they did, taking longer to remedy than if we opened the pool ourselves, and we regretted it. The fact they were also more expensive made it even worse. When it comes to knowing exactly what has to be done for installing new pool liners or accessories or a new filter or heater, Esparza once again delivers superior knowledge and expertise, and thankfully prevented us from purchasing the incorrect products for our particular pool. Even when there was a glitch with the product we purchased being a lemon, Sergio was there to mediate and make sure we were treated well and the situation was properly rectified. Thankfully we were able to get a new product shipped and at no cost to us, and we owe it all to Sergio and his wonderful crew who always go above and beyond the call of duty. Today was our most recent Esparza experience and the weather was terrible. It was raining, cold, and miserable. Yet Sergio and his crew were just as meticulous and careful with their work, setting up and testing all of the equipment, and with making sure they were meticulous in their clean up and how they left everything. Especially given the weather, it was especially noteworthy that they did not rush and cut corners despite how cold and uncomfortable they must have felt. Perhaps the most important quality of Esparza is that you can trust them. They not only do excellent work but they take care of our pool, the accessories, our yard, and our home as if it was their own, and they always come through. Thinking of going with someone else? Ugh. We have experienced that and never want to again. Esparza always takes care of us, gives us expert wisdom when it comes to making decisions, and makes sure we are safe, protected, and happy with all that involves our pool, each and every year, without missing a beat. In fact, I think they actually keep getting better and better when I have always felt that was not possible. Esparza. It is the only name you need to know when it comes to pools and your families safety and happiness with your pool investment.

If I can save one person from dealing with this unprofessional individual then I have done my job. Scheduled a pool liner install in February, for May of 2017. First date had to be rescheduled due to weather, then on the day he came back he came charging into the yard barking out comments about the rocks around the pool, the deck, then said he does not have enough time to do it today. His exact words were "We are coming back memorial day" - didn't ask me if memorial day was ok with me! Well, it wasn't. Then he said I can do do June 5. Obviously never wrote it down because when I called him June 4 to verify he had no idea who I was. When I reminded him, he said "oh yeah I remember, well I don't have time". I pushed him a bit, then he snapped and started yelling and swearing at me then hung up. DO NOT use this guy.

J & C QUALITY POOLS

I called J&C, because I needed a pool liner replaced, I supplied the liner and gaskets, J&C scheduled a day, came out exactly on time, and replaced the liner, gaskets and removed the old liner, cut in pieces to my front driveway so I could dispose it easily. Jim and crew, did a great job! I would certainly use them again!

They told me when they would be here and the they came when they promised. They finished the job in about 5 hours and charged me what they promised. As best I can tell they did a good job on the liner. They did not clean up very well at all and failed to put back some pool stuff that they moved and I had to call them back. The reason I put that I would not use them again is that they do not provide any pool repair services. So when they took the old liner off there was some rust on the pool itself and I wanted to have it sanded and painted but they don't do that and I had to put the liner over a rusty pool.

They looked professional. The two guys who came out communicated very clearly. I have no problem but my parents don’t speak Spanish and many of them who came out spoke only Spanish and there was a communication breakdown. These guys were very clear. One of them was Hispanic but they spoke perfect English. They were really quick. They were the first ones who ended up with the quote. We did not go with them because of the price. As for responsiveness they answered all the questions. They did not have to call over anybody else so the persons who showed up knew what they were talking about. A lot of times, when you ask the person who brings in the quote certain questions they have to call back to find out the answers. These guys did not have to do that. As for punctuality, they were the first ones to show up. Also when they give you a time frame, you did not have to end waiting for them they were within the given time frame. As for professionalism they were friendly and at the same time knew what they were doing. We would definitely give them a call if we had a problem with the pool in the future.. .

Adam Pools and Spas of Naperville

I started out with Adam Pools last year and what seemed.to be a very nice gentleman turned into a wild angry bear. Unfortunately when I first bought my home I was very happy about the ingrown pool. Less than a week went by and i found out I needed a.new liner. It was going to be very costly. I called ADAM POOLS. We had to drain pool pull the old liner and install a new one. Rich took all the measurements to ensure the right liner and size were to be installed .This was at a cost between 6 and 8 thousand dollars. After the liner was installed the shallow end didn't seem to fit correctly .Rich said he will make necessary adjustmenrs..adjustments... he never did. He also took apart the filter and never came back to fix it. Last time I wrote about him in a review he claimed me as a crazy Karen lady. Believe me I spent thousands and the liner is warranteed and he won't fix it...this is taken and copied from his text to me. . You are a business owners worst nightmare . You are an entitled KAREN spreading lies when you can longer get one more thing FREE. Write as many reviews as you feel you need to and we can discuss your mental health issues in a public forum . Remember this when you are thinking to do business with this man. He will dismiss you when you try to work with him especially when you have a warrantee. Please look at photos below and see how the bottom of liner looks when you go to open pool after he installs liner. Awful man. Look at the.liner.by the stairs doesnt look right never looked right didnt fit to the stairs too big because he measured incorrectly. Doesnt want to fix his own mistakes. Looked at other reviews about him.. if you are a woman don't do a deal with him. Very dismissive when it comes to women. Treats women like crap. This is a businessman who will never agree he's wrong unless he's slapped.in the face with it. Please notify me if you have the same problem with him. Perhaps we can both do a lawsuit against him together A liner shouldn't ripple within the first year of it being put in this is purely his fault becuz he measured incorrectly. I have also included a copy of the receipt where he charged me $ 540 for a pool winterization when my pool was empty after putting in the liner.. no water in filter because the pool was empty. All he had to do was plug up pool and add chemicals from an empty pool. Charged me an extra $540 . Watch out for this man please see receipt

I was using Downes Pools service for the first 10 yrs. I owned my home. I switched the last 8 years to K & M Pool Service and couldn't be happier. I can't tell you how professional Matt & his team are. Matt is extremely honest, has never overcharged me like Downes has, and is very responsible. He goes the extra mile to always make sure I'm completely satisfied. I'm sad to say, I'm moving to a new home that does not have a pool. If I decide to build one, Matt will be "The Man" to help me with the process.

Utterly late and unresponsive; Horrible Experience If your going to do business with this outfit, expect to hear, "I'm sorry, it was not our fault, it was a misunderstanding....repeat" In early May 14 we contracted with Russos to replace our pool liner. This was in our estimation a fairly simple job for a pool contractor. We put down a deposit, picked out the pool liner and scheduled an install date for the 4th of June. Russos sent someone out to personally estimate the job. During this estimate we were told to buy a number of replacement parts for the pool and fifteen bags (50lbs each) of playground sand for our pool bottom. (We found it a little strange that the company wouldn't order the necessary parts, sand and whatnot when it ordered the liner, but we played along.) We loaded our car with 750lbs of sand and walked each 50lb bag the full length of our 1/2 acre property to ensure that the sand was sitting poolside when the workers arrived. Fast forward to install day (which I had taken off). No call, no show, no nothing. We called Russos to see what happened, we were told it turned out that there was a schedule mixup and the manufacturer didn't follow-up on our liner order, and that the liner was out of stock (after 3 weeks we found this out!!!). Russos said they were sorry. We were told we needed to pick out another liner and the job would be scheduled for the following week. I called every other day to confirm the next appointment and was assured that it would take place. The liner didn't happen the following week either. Again, it was the liner distributor's fault. (BTW, Russos was adamant that they would passionately lobby the liner distributor for us a discount - which they feel we legitimately deserved -- and they would follow up with us about this. Never heard back.) After calling Russos repeatedly, they arranged for our liner to be installed around the 3rd week of June. Russos wants you to have a water truck waiting so once the installers replace the liner, water can be pumped in and the holes can be cut. Problem is, Russos missed two appointments and on the 3rd appointment gave us 48 hours notice. We can't source a water truck with 2 days notice. Russos crew did perform the install on the 3rd Saturday in June, but we had to use a garden hose to fill it, so the job couldn't be finished. Russos demanded payment in full for the job that day, and assured me that they would return the following Monday once the pool was nearly full. Did they return on Monday? Nope! Finally, after 3 consecutive days of calling almost nonstop, the crew returned to cut the return and skimmer holes for our liner. The liner is finally in. It's a pool - the amount of headache and energy that we devoted to getting this job finished properly would be akin to what it would take to build a house. Russos ultimately finished the job, but for a working couple simply looking to swim, it was one of the more painful experiences we've ever had. BTW: Those fifteen 50lb bags of playground sand were not needed at all. We're stuck with it. Again, Russos was sorry about that too.

Worked with Anthony and Joe Russo. Anthony was my initial contact who helped price the project and advise me on all my options. Once we agreed to move forward, Joe took over and managed the project. He intially came out for onsite inspection of pool and to present liner options. We were conflicted on which liner to choose so Joe offered to come out a second time to show us liner samples again-- very much appreciated. We had a deadline that we hoped to beat but knew would be a challenge. Joe agreed to get it done in time and did with days to spare. Everyone who worked onsite was professional and capable.

Recent Review: Jeff at Geneva Pool Service has given us exceptional service after another pool company treated us poorly. Jeff came in and fixed all of the problems caused by the other pool company and went above and beyond to make everything perfect for us. He also educated us on our new pool and spa in a way the other company never did. He was honest and polite (qualities not possessed by other pool companies). I used Geneva Pools based on the exceptional reviews online and based on many personal recommendations. I cannot recommend this company enough!

What do customers in Chicago say about Replace Swimming Pool Liner?

We purchased our first home last year and it came with an in-ground pool. The liner was in terrible shape, but we made it work last summer, even though we had to fill it with water every two days due to holes. We decided this year we needed a new liner. We got about five quotes from vendors around the area and Russo's came in at the best price for the highest quality liner (THOUSANDS less than other local vendors). At first, we were a bit wary about the price difference, but we asked Russo's for some references and they were all positive. Russo's came and removed the old liner and the new liner was ordered. In less than two weeks the new liner arrived and Russo's called right away to schedule the installation. They came and installed the liner and the new safety cover we purchased and it all looks wonderful!
