The inital estimate process went well on 10 April 2013. Chad Sherman, District Manager, represented the company in a professional manner and showed what appeared to be a reputable business with several positive experiences. My wife and I decided to move forward and signed the contract. It took approximately 2 weeks before anyone showed up to start the job and when they did, it was without notice. I was supposed to be contacted the day prior to power washing so I could provide paint samples. Instead, I was contacted about 10 minutes before the crew arrived while I was at work. A couple of days passed and I asked when the crew would start painting. I was then advised someone would be by to pick up the paint samples, but after 4 hours passed, I stopped working through the sub-contractor and called Chad Sherman directly to get the job started. Chad replaced the crew and the new crew showed up on a Sunday to begin the work. It took about 2 days for the new sub-contractor to finish the work and I was asked for an immediate comment card rating only the experience I had with the new crew. I marked the comment card favorably. A couple of days later, I noticed the stain on the deck beginning to peel and bubble. I called to have it repaired and it was. Another couple of days passed, and it again started to bubble and peel. This was again repaired. It is now 10 July 2013, and it is still peeling despite me escalating to the Lake County Sherriff who called Chad Sherman directly. Additionally, the owner, Jeff Sharp called me saying it would be corrected and that he would personally see to it. Further, Jeff Sharp appreciated that I did not report it to the Better Business Bureau. Jeff Sharp said he would also ensure some other quality issues would be repaired. 3 months into this interaction, I still sit with a peeling and bubbling stain on the deck. I have spent countless hours working to resolve this issue including emails, unanswered attempts to contact the owner, Jeff Sharp, and just today seeking legal counsel on resolving the matter. My suggestion to anyone looking to use Sharper Impressions Painting is to move onto another A-rated company listed in Angie's List because I certainly can't recommend this company after my still ongoing troubles. I mean, who has 3 months to waste on resolving issues like this?
