Chicago Storm Door Installation

It took a while to get the storm doors made but the results were well worth it. They disposed of the old storm doors, cleaned the area, snugged the new storm doors in place and painted the frames. They left additional paint so we could paint the frames of the French doors so the colors would match.

We are very happy with the storm door; functional and nice looking. Worker was professional and did a great job installing.

It went great. Mike arrived,accessed the job and got to work. The electrical outlet was finished in one hour. On the way out to his truck,he noticed our storm door snubber was broken and said he could fix it. He went to work on that small project and fixed the storm door. Our back storm door also has a broken snubber but requires more time to fix. Mike said to give him a call when we are ready------and we will!

My grandmother's balcony patio door came off the hinges due to the high winds and we were having a hard time finding someone to fix it. Nathaniel came by and saved the day! He arrived timely, quickly diagnosed the problem, and got to work. His general construction background allowed us to discuss some additional projects and they've already arranged for him to come back to do some work in one of the bathrooms. Would absolutely recommend him.

THIS IS THE THIRD PROJECT THAT I HAVE ENTRUSTED TO THIS COMPANY. The selection of the replacement storm door was made extremely easy. Installation by their installers was completed expertly, beautifully and completely to my satisfaction. The installer was prompt, courteous, and left the work area neat and clean. This is the third door installed in my home by Murphy's and I would not hesitate to recommend this company to friends and neighbors - in fact I have.

This is the kind of contractor you want to deal with. Starting with a rapid response from an Angie's List query, with up-front pricing and convenience options (like picking up the storm door from the store, which is great since I don't have a truck), the communication was fantastic. The team called ahead of time that they were coming, arrived promptly, and did fantastic work. I will use them again for my next house maintenance item.

They were scheduled to come between 1pm and 3pm. I received a message around at 12:45pm to say they would be there closer to 3pm. Then they called at 2:25pm to let me know someone was on the way. The contractor showed up at 3:20pm. He was very polite and made sure we both agreed on what I wanted done. I had asked to have the old door disposed of and knew there was an additional charge but it wasn't on the invoice. The contractor just added it to the invoice before I ok'd it so he could begin the work. He was thorough and took the time to make sure the new door was installed correctly and to my satisfaction. Overall installation time was 3 hours. Unfortunately because the contractor's vehicle was too small he was only able to take the old storm door and screen leaving behind the full size glass panel. The next morning I contacted the office and explained what happened. They were very nice and had someone come by and pick it up. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend them.

Had a new storm door installed.. Mike was helpful, patient and willing to work within our schedule..I would highly recommend, he kept me informed and showed up when he said he would which is rare these days.

The storm doors were suppose to be somewhat energy efficient thickish with 2 panes of glass, air sealed at the edges of the door with a bottom threshold. The storm doors were somewhat heavy, but you could see cracks through them. Nothing was air sealed, I had to complain to get them back out, and walk them through all the holes in the storm doors. There was only one pane of glass.

Very well. I had hired Rich for 4 hours with only the 1 storm door, light, and doorknob slated, but he found time to do the additional storm door within the 4 hours. Everything was done well.
