Recent Review: Do yourself a favor and hire this company. Pete and his crew were professional, thorough, courteous, fair and experienced. Pete is incredibly honest and approachable. I have worked with many contractors, and I feel so lucky to have found this company. I won't hire anyone else again for this work.

Recent Review: Job was supposed to begin on the 11th and finish that same week. Igor and Gary arrived prepared to do the work. Unfortunately, when they opened the package containing the shower base, it was a right drain and it should have been a left drain, so they couldn't go any further. In addition, when they pulled out the old shower stall, we discovered that the floor underneath was rotted out and had to be replaced. Apparently the handyman we hired to put in that shower (about 25 years ago) was not as professional as we had thought. We received the correct shower base on Saturday, the 15th. Fortunately, Handyman Pros was able to schedule Igor and Gary to come back the following Monday morning. They fixed the floor, put down the new floor tile, and installed all the new items. We asked Igor if he would install a new exhaust fan. He had time so we called the office to add that to the job cost. There, too, the job wasn't as simple as we had thought due to the age of the original fan and the way it was installed. We were given the opportunity to see the job as it progressed and Igor had sound advice when we had questions or decisions to make. They were both punctual and pleasant throughout the week in spite of the problems that arose. The completed bathroom is beautiful. We are very pleased. We were also pleased with the cost. We got three quotes and Handyman Pros pricing allowed us to add a new vanity and toilet when our original plan was just to replace the shower. Part of the savings is because we ordered the items ourselves and had it delivered to our home. That worked well for us. We will definitely call Handyman Pros for future work. The office was pleasant and helpful, too, so it was a good experience all around.

Recent Review: I had some extensive damage in my rental townhome due to an ice dam back in February. After contacting perhaps a dozen companies, Top Notch was the only one to not only call me back right away (one other company took 2 weeks to call back - yeah, that's the company I want to work with if this is the response time I get BEFORE you even have my money), but they also didn't immediately say that my job was too small (because I didn't have a $50k+ gut remodel for them). Michael suggested I first work with the HOA to get the roof repaired to try to ensure this does not happen again. After about a month, I contacted him again to arrange for a walk through. He remembered the job and details right away which was impressive to me. He also allowed me to purchase the materials myself and didn't give me a spiel about not being able to warranty the materials, not being able to pick them up, etc. like I've had before with other contractors (even though they were from the same supplier he would use). When they started the job, they stayed on task and within the time frame they estimated. Pawel was the lead on the job, and he was incredible to work with. He went above and beyond in his work, and his team came back on the weekend to make sure it was done in time. All of the work was done with my tenant in place, and he even offered to help her hang some of her pictures (obviously not a part of the scope I was paying for). I am definitely planning on calling Top Notch again for any repairs/remodeling in our current and future rentals or our personal residence.

Recent Review: It went smooth in every way. Punctuality, professionalism, speed of work and in every way. Details were taken care of very well. Quality of end product was always the main concern for Vasile. He would never compromise that at any cost. Money dealing was fair, neither was it inexpensive, nor expensive. Vasile's crew was equally professionalism and took care in handling all the work. They worked happily. Vasile's services were exceptional. And he is a warm hearted person to deal with as well.. I wish him good luck..

They were covered with carpeting for over 60 years and they were able to make them like new. Very impressed with their crew – on time and worked diligently until the project was completed. Recent Review: I'm very pleased with the qualilty of the work and my kitchen/bath receive many compliments. My only issue was that construction took long to complete. Some of the issues were beyond their control. Other delays boiled down to the crew being overscheduled. I'm in need of additional construction services and would love to work with Dan and company again. However, he can't seem to work me into his schedule. I've waited 10 weeks for him to start work and can't wait any longer. I will go with another company.

Recent Review: We hired Decorative Floors to remove carpet from our stairs and upstairs hall and replace with hardwood. Calin was very professional, knowledgeable and easily accessible. His crew did an excellent job top notch work!! They installed unfinished hardwood flooring and matched our existing hardwood flooring perfectly. The covered everything and thoroughly cleaned up. I would recommend them to anyone.

Recent Review: We purchased a Chicago brick 3-flat building (built in 1918) with large 1800 sq. ft. 3-bedroom units. 2 of the units were full of wall to wall carpeting -- 3 bedrooms, large formal dining room, large living room, and hallway. Pulling out all of the carpet revealed hardwood floors that were not what we expected. They were very very red in color, and looked/felt really rough - lot s of dark spots and cracked/broken boards here and there. I had my doubts that the floors could be nice, much less spectacular. Enter Nick Vlad. According to Nick, the red color was due to the varnish that was applied to the floors decades ago. The good news was that there was plenty of wood under the varnish. The bad news was that it would take a lot of sanding discs to work through the thick varnish and get down to the beautifully preserved wood underneath. The floors needed repair work, especially around the radiator pipes where water damage over the years was clearly on display. Nick was confident that the floors would turn out beautifully -- and wow was he right. Nick and a helper spent 2 days in each unit. When I walked in after all work was done I couldn't believe the transformation. The floors were/are gorgeous. Stunning. They look as though we put in brand new flooring. You can really see the grain/striation of the wood - very unique looking. And they feel GREAT on bare feet. Nick was very easy to work with -- showed up on time to take measurements and get me an estimate, was very professional and conscientious. He's very knowledgeable about all things wood floors and refinishing. We are going to hire him again to deal with the floors in our apartment including removing linoleum flooring in our kitchen and refinishing the maple underneath. We're excited to work with Nick again and are confident he'll make the floors in our home simply gleam.

Recent Review: We keep going back to them because they do a perfect job every time. The only problem we have had is that when they installed the range hood it did not sure properly, but they came back the next day and fixed it.
