Both Steve and Chris did a good job with our handyman list. The initial cost is $120 for 2 hours, then $48 for each additional hour. However, if they don't finish in the time allotted, they will schedule another time and still charge the $48. Some of the tasks.. Remove old dishwasher by cutting it out due to a new floor that was installed years after the dishwasher Install kitchen soap pump Install battery doorbells Install keyless lock Install floating flooring and trim by entryway Build soffit to hide AC pipe in bathroom

We had 3 people come give estimates/opinions for the job, and decided to go with Kovach because he seemed so confident in his rationales and plans. Price wise his estimates were on par with everyone else. Kovach works closely with A-American Flooring, and it was quite helpful to be able to actually go to a store and hand-pick our floors. Our closing date was cancelled and rescheduled 4 times, and Kovach was extremely flexible and very willing to work with us. Kovach and his son, Nebojsa, began the project by leveling out the floors and removing the creaks that accompany old hardwood floors. They realized that the walls in our unit were not parallel, which greatly increased the amount of work they had to do (all of our pre-finished wood had to be sized and cut to match the measurements needed). We had a very strict move-in date, and they worked long hours (including weekends) to ensure that we would be good to go. Quality was not sacrificed, and the floors look great! The installation took 4 full days, but this was due to a co-worker being out on vacation, and the added work of the project. Upon completion, Nebojsa took time to discuss with us how to clean and treat the floors, which was much appreciated!

I contacted them on a Sunday as a result of a search I did on Angie's List and Dumitru was at my house within 30 minutes providing a thorough, complete and professional estimate. He was able to rearrange his schedule and start and COMPLETE the job the next day. His workmanship is outstanding, he is courteous and prompt and his pricing is fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend IP Flooring based on the outstanding experience we had with Dumitru and his company.

I contacted them and spoke with Jose in the beginning. Cesar came out one time and gave me a verbal quote. He was to email me the estimate which I never got. There was no rush on the job. I contacted a few more times and no response. After seeing his review that I did, he did contact me. After the review Cesar also set up a date and time to stop at the house. No call and no show. He came out again. He stated his verbal quote was given when he was tired. It is different now. I showed him the floor I wanted. He showed me some and said they were the same but a better price. The floor was not the same, it was a thinner floor. Fast forward, verbal quote was kinda high. I showed him quotes from others. Cesar with Top bro added in square footage. The square footage was higher the second time he stopped at my house than the first time. All my other estimates have the same footage. I then asked for written quote /estimate-no response in writing. He states he also works for Empire and or Luna. For some reason I could not get an estimate in writing. Could not get an answer if they are bonded or insured.

Very professional and punctual. None of the contacts were pushy, listened extremely well and provided all insurance info immediately, without being asked. They were very flexible in doing whatever I wanted and did a fabulous job. Price was very acceptable. They warned me about the odor of the standard wood coating and it was extemely harsh as warned. If I did hardwood refinishing again, would probably opt for the no odor coating. Was done in a middle floor of an apartment building and both the floor above and below found it to be extremely odorous...especially since it was winter time and could not ventilate easily.

The provider was very prompt and had a skilled carpenter doing the work. The damage was in the center of the room, which for a floating floor is difficult to fix. The man doing the work obviously knew what he was doing and performed his task in a professional manner. I would definitely use Stanley Flooring again for wood floor repairs of any kind.

A To Z Flooring
We purchased our floor from Lumber Liquidators in Kenosha. They sent out their subcontractor A To Z Flooring for measuring and install. After a month or so of doing other construction in our house to prepare first, A to Z was contacted to go ahead with the job. They unfortunately lost the measurements for a couple of days and then found them but still had to come out to remeasure since they combined all the measurements together. They had no idea on what to order or tell me. I was told they would be able to pick up the flooring from Lumber Liquidators. This was not the case as they explained that they don't really like to do this. Lumber Liquidators told me this was false and they just did not want to do it. I would have paid a fee, that would not have been a issue. They wanted to charge me a almost two hundred dollars to install a half hours worth of floor board that they also refused to pick up. Finally, there were to two pieces of furniture in the room that they stated they would slide over. Since they were not given the floorboard job, they decided to raise the price by 50.00 for moving the furniture to another room which NEVER took place. I ended up having to write two separate checks. Then they refused to take with the small amount of flattened boxes away unless I wanted to pay a extra charge. I have no problem with Lumber Liquidators but there is NO WAY I can recommend A To Z as they nickel and dime the customer to death. Very Unfair.

David was extremely professional and it truly seemed that his goal was give me the best service possible. I was truly pleased with his customer service effort. Unfortunately I went the route of using a friend of a friend that gave me a much cheaper quote (at the time I simply did not have the means to go with David's quote). While my floor turned out descent I have a few problems with it and now I wish I would have gone with Advanced Hardwood Flooring. You always get what you pay for and that is true in this case also. I might actually call on Advanced to help me fix my flooring issues if I find that they are willing.

Super Service Award Recent Review: I had some extensive damage in my rental townhome due to an ice dam back in February. After contacting perhaps a dozen companies, Top Notch was the only one to not only call me back right away (one other company took 2 weeks to call back - yeah, that's the company I want to work with if this is the response time I get BEFORE you even have my money), but they also didn't immediately say that my job was too small (because I didn't have a $50k+ gut remodel for them). Michael suggested I first work with the HOA to get the roof repaired to try to ensure this does not happen again. After about a month, I contacted him again to arrange for a walk through. He remembered the job and details right away which was impressive to me. He also allowed me to purchase the materials myself and didn't give me a spiel about not being able to warranty the materials, not being able to pick them up, etc. like I've had before with other contractors (even though they were from the same supplier he would use). When they started the job, they stayed on task and within the time frame they estimated. Pawel was the lead on the job, and he was incredible to work with. He went above and beyond in his work, and his team came back on the weekend to make sure it was done in time. All of the work was done with my tenant in place, and he even offered to help her hang some of her pictures (obviously not a part of the scope I was paying for). I am definitely planning on calling Top Notch again for any repairs/remodeling in our current and future rentals or our personal residence.
Super Service Award Recent Review: In the beginning there was a leak, the leak became a corroded stop valve, valve became a leaky gasket manufacturer error. My toilet had been slowly deteriorating. All because of first homeowner ignorance. Finally my plumber not only fixed the problem but updated weak link parts. Through it all Andy was helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Making the transition from "Call the landlord" to complete independence is never easy but Handyman Matters and Andy have restored my confidence.
Super Service Award Recent Review: Contacted Dan and he was prompt at coming by to review requirements and provided estimate within a day. We had a goofy electrical job, and he provided confidence they could work around it. There was some extra work that was needed outside of original quote, but we knew that might be the case. And they provided heads up before performing extra work. In the middle of the project, we had an unrelated water leak, caused by original home builders. Dan was able to get a crew member to our house within the day to open the ceiling and identify the problem. He did not charge us for this work, which we absolutely appreciated!

Super Service Award Recent Review: Howard gave an estimate of work to be done. Because of the weather the floor was refinished two months after the painting. I was amazed at how well the painting and refinishing looked and the workers did such a great job. Would definitely used them again.
Super Service Award Recent Review: As I had used Vasile when I was an apartment owner, I already was very comfortable using him. Switching me from Polyurethane to Synteko (a water-based floor covering that lasted much longer than Polyurethane on renter tested floors) was well appreciated. Anyway, his crew added a Synteko coat to the recently done Polyurethaned floors before I moved in. This went smoothly. In the basement, I told him what I wanted, a wood floor in the front 2/3, and he recommended a floating engineered wood floor, with baseboard. As I am a practical environmentalist, I inquired about bamboo. He told me how it is softer than the white oak he was suggesting, and he recommended the oak, especially as I wanted it for dancing. Through my own research, I found out Moso bamboo, the most common lowlands bamboo ,is a softer wood, while woven strand, or upper highands bamboo, is harder. The latter are more expensive than the basic Moso bamboo and the white oak. The Swedish flooring company only harvested sustainably and had very green credentials, so I went with them. The engineered wood flooring can also be sanded three times, a benefit over a floating laminate floor This job took around a week, and the tile work around the laundry area was another day.
