After installing a deck, our town inspector told us we needed to replace our electrical mast so it was at least ten feet above the level of our deck, which involved replacing the existing mast and running the new one through the soffit and roof. WE found three vendors on Angies List, all rated A. Derek Electric (note: the owners name is not 'Derek' - its a long story) was the most responsive, agreed to do the work (one of the others flat out refused) and was the lowest-cost by a large margin. The other bid I got was ~$1,000 more than Derek, and the individual tried to upsell me on 'required' structural work that the town inspector and Derek told me were not necessary. Note: I do not know how much of the price difference was the unnecessary work proposed by the other vendor, so the price comparison should be taken with a grain of salt. During planning, Derek was occasionally difficult to get hold of (call returned more than 24 hours / 2 workdays later), hence the B, but this was not an obstacle or critical failure. He was great to deal with, fairly priced, and I would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others.
