Recent Review: The final cost for the project was as expected based on the initial quote. Dave was very flexible with last minute changes and offered excellent and cost effective solutions to problems as they came up during the project. Dave was very punctual himself as well as when he said someone was coming over, they always showed up on time. Overall, very pleased with the quality of work as well as with the professionalism of the staff. Dave's good planning and communication skills helped to keep us informed and to keep the project on schedule. Responses to questions or concerns were always answered quickly, even on weekends or after business hours. We look forward to using DAL Builders for our future Kitchen remodel this Spring. Would recommend DAL to friends and family.

Recent Review: I used friend's Angies List to look up an HVAC contractor for my house. I purchased the house recently and needed everything replaced from my AC to a water heater. I hired Air Blue after Conrad, the owner, came out and gave me an estimate for the wok. I also took estimates from other companies I got on Angies List. Air Blue was not the lowest but they offered the most beneifts such as 0% for 36%, 10-year warranty on everything, and hassle-free service. They also did my duct cleaning and dryer vent. They installed new sheet metal and ducts in the basement of my house. Overall, I am very pleased with the work. It took them about 3 days to finish everything but the work was very smooth and they cleaned after themselves which I was very happy about. I created Angies List in order to give this feedback because I believe good companies should get credit for what they do. Thanks again Air Blue and we will keep you in mind for any future HVAC work.

Recent Review: Lindemann had cleaned and done some fireplace/chimney repairs at our former home, and they did a great job. They did a great job at the new home as well. Beautiful new gas logs installed correctly!

Recent Review: They came when they said they would. They took great pains to protect the shrubs and they sealed off the fireplace inside the house to ensure no dust was generated in the house. They were very careful on the roof. Robert Reese kept in touch with us prior to and when the work was being done. He had a great group of craftsmen who did the work. They did everything they said on the quote and the price we paid was what they quoted. What was amazing is that they were able to match the brick used so that you would not know that the work was done. We could not be more pleased with the quality of the work performed.

Recent Review: Cornel and crew were great. During our initial walkthrough he was thorough and took pictures of things to better reference them when putting together their quote, which made things much easier to discuss. Once work started Cornel was great about being available at all times via text message or phone which was very helpful for my wife and I who had not been through this process before. He helped guide us through the process and offered recommendations where he believed our initial choices may not have been optimal but he was not pushy about them at all and ultimately let us make the decisions on our house. They worked on Saturdays when needed and our neighbors even commented about how dedicated the crew seemed as they were there early in the morning and stayed late most days (we hadn't moved in yet so they were our eyes and ears). There were some minor delays due to the countertop material being delayed but all in all timing worked out well. They even were able to do some "extra" little things for us as we realized we wanted to change out a light fixture or remove our storm door towards the end of the process. Finally, they made sure everything was right before they were done. The new plumbing under the kitchen sink was leaking the day after they left and they made sure to come back and get it fixed to our satisfaction. They even did some paint touch-ups that day since our movers nicked the walls in a couple of places which they definitely didn't have to do but was a welcome surprise. It was a great first time experience for us and we would definitely use them again.

Recent Review: Illinois Home Improvement has been a pleasure to work with. From the planning and weekly meetings with the owner to coordination of work with the office staff and finally the workmanship of the crew, this is a very professional skilled construction operation. They take pride in every aspect of the work and have been responsive to all of my requests and change orders. The owner Eric Wrobel had a lot of great ideas to help prevent future maintenance issues and save money in the short run. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I would recommend Illinois Home Improvement to anyone who is serious about doing a quality remodeling job or home repairs.

Recent Review: Nick responded to my first phone call. He and his team reported every day at 0700. They repaired some damage in the basement. They gutted two bathrooms and the kitchen. They installed the new bathroom and kitchen units. Nick built cabinets for one bathroom and the laundry room. Nick built a new fireplace mantle. Nick is a master carpenter. I am very pleased with all work performed.

Recent Review: This crew did a phenomenal job on my building. Completely restored my 2flat in Logan Square. Tuck-pointing, chimney repair, cornice work, sidewalks, steps, restored widow headers/sills, replaced brick, restored exterior foundation. Very skilled crew, responsive, thorough & professional. I received multiple quotes and they were the most competitively priced. Highly recommend.

Recent Review: Dan and his co-worker did an awesome job with my fireplace! He had to connect to a gas line, install a key into the floor (even matches my decor) and helped me decide what logs would be the best fit for my home (size, color and heat output). He didn’t try to sell me the most expensive items either. Fair prices, friendly, punctual and quality work! I would hire again and recommend. I really enjoy my fireplace now!!

Recent Review: We love our patio, fireplace and landscaping that In and Out Design did for us this summer. Mary is awesome. She takes so much time to understand what is needed and designs everything. You can see the project come to life in her interactive designs and she will revise over and over again to make sure everything is perfect. Once we hired In and Out computer designs were initiated that included every flower, stub, and detail. It was so nice to see everything in the design before work started. Mary helped pick out the pavers and made a process that was daunting so easy. Once the work started the installers were so fast yet meticulous. The work is excellent. We are outside almost every night now in our beautiful space.

Recent Review: I hired Avanti Stone to help me install a new marble fireplace mantel that I ordered from a mantel seller. I was glad that I found Avanti Stone. Not many companies do this kind of work. The mantel seller told me to reach out to stone masons but none of the masons I called do interior work. Maurizio, the owner, was responsive, polite and reliable. He always responded to text, emails, calls within the next business day. He maintained a good communication with me throughout the process. He was easy to work with and explained things very carefully to me. The entire crew worked hard and was professional. Maurizio is someone that makes you feel confident that he can deliver. The team was clean and left no mess behind. I was very pleased with the outcome of the installation. Not many people I found on Angie’s List did this kind of installation, so I cannot comment much on the price. However, I got another quote and the price of Avanti Stone was comparable with the other company. I chose to work with Avanti Stone because Maurizio seemed more enthusiastic with the job than the other company. I would definitely consider Avanti Stone for any future stone work.

Recent Review: Overall the entire project was a completely positive experience. From the time of the first estimate, to the drawings of what he was recommending, it was smooth and professional start to finish. The owner, Gregg, listened to our ideas, and provided his own suggestions which in most cases were much more to our liking. He explained when they would start, which area of the house they would begin with, how they would protect our existing floors, appliances and carpets, etc. Great communication and quality workmanship made all the difference from some other contractors we've worked with in the past at a different home. The pricing was competitive, and worth every penny. The two areas were our kitchen and master bedroom, and both were substantial projects. They finished exactly on time, no extra (hidden) charges, and friendly and capable workers. The workers arrived on time each and every day, at the previously established time. All in all, a completely positive experience.

Recent Review: They showed up exactly as scheduled with a new stainless furnace vent. I showed them the old one that blew off to make sure it fit. The installation was complete in 40 minutes on my 2 story house. The only concern is that the top of the new furnace vent hood is much larger than the old one, and now the top of the furnace vent is real close to the top of my fireplace hood. They said its okay, so I'll leave it at that.

Recent Review: These guys are great. As soon as I called them they immediately answered the phone and scheduled the service visit for the following evening. The tech Mike called me to let me know when he was about 10 mins away. He showed up on time (unlike a lot of other plumbing companies). He quickly explained that if he could easily remove the cracked pipe without taking apart my fireplace walls, then it would be their minimum charge for gas piping. He said that if he wasn't able to easily remove it, he wouldn't charge me for trying. He successfully removed it with his wrench. He then replaced the pipe with a shorter one ( I requested shorter one) and then tested inside the wall and fireplace for gas leaks. He explained everything as he was doing it and made great conversation while he was fixing the piping. I've used these guys twice and they are stellar!! Tyler and his crew are restoring my faith in plumbers again.
