Chicago Drywall Installation

Had Budget Right Handyman come out to do some basic repairs. They were on time and the job was done very well. They installed molding around the floor, patched drywall and replaced a few electrical outlets.

The process was excellent. Tom the owner was always on time and so were his employees. Everyone involved was kind, professional and responsive. I was very impressed with everyone. They removed and installed an exhaust fan in the bathroom, hooked up exhaust fan in the attic. Replaced specific parts of the drywall in the bath, removed the old bathroom tile and installed the new tile floor, removed the old sink, installed the new sink top and also installed new faucets in the master bath and in the hall bath. Also removed and installed new medicine cabinet and vanity light. Tom provided specific measurements for me to use to go an purchase the tile for the floor. In addition his employees repainted the entire bathroom. I will continue to use them on any future projects. The entire experience was great.

Chris was very responsive throughout the process. He came out and did an estimate for the work. After a couple back and forth exchanges on getting the scope of the work correct on the estimate, we signed the contract and we met again to discuss materials/design. I picked out the materials and they started the work a few weeks later when the materials came in. They did very high quality work. We had a few days where scheduling did not go as planned, which made the project go on a little longer than we had originally thought, but everyone that worked on the project was knowledgeable, friendly, and hardworking. After they finished, a few of the materials needed to be replaced (defective doorknob, splintered floorboard) and they came and replaced them promptly. Overall, the work looks great.

Having 1.5 baths presents a problem when the tub needs replacement. Kris completed the job in 4.5 days. The entire bathroom was stripped down to studs. Kris added electrical, replaced all drywall, fixed plumbing problems, installed new floor, new tub, toilet, vanity, exhaust fan, & fixtures. Also installed porcelain tile on walls and floor and painted. His work and knowledge of each trade is impeccable. The remodeled room is absolutely perfect. I would hire him again for anything I need done. He worked long days and got the job done quickly. So happy we found KSR!

They installed a new fireplace unit capable of heating our apartment. They had to redo dry wall and tile. Absolutely wonderful job.

Excellent! James and Jen (owners) are friendly professionals. The entire staff (designer/Melissa, project manager/John and laborer/Rick) were all talented, responsive and easy to work with. Removed an old Jacuzzi Tub/Shower and repaired the drywall. Then installed a beautiful shower in Onyx, and replaced the vanity. (We painted and installed the flooring and Jim/Rick cooperated nicely with us. We would definitely hire Diamond Bath again... in a heartbeat!!

We are pleased and satisfied with the service of Best Art Construction. We needed completely restored our family room. So they replaced old drywall and placed two windows and patio door. While the drywall replacement was very awesome. With the use of paintbrush, they applied primer paint over the dry surface. And the final coat once the primer paint was dried. Additionally, they installed wood like heated titles. We feel and noticed the huge difference of temperature. The room is warmer and looks more elegant. Best Art Construction definitely provides craftsman work at a very fair price. The work went very smoothly. They arrive on time, cleaned up well each day so it was livable, and the quality was outstanding.

Following an excellent experience with a master bath remodel last year, we recently engaged Nick for a second major project to “refresh” our kitchen (our wood floors had recently been refinished, so one goal was not to make any changes that would impact the floor). The project included re-facing/painting the existing cabinets and island; installing pullout drawers in the island cabinets; replacing the counters with granite; installing a new sink and garbage disposal; removing the existing tile backsplash and replacing it with new mosaic tile; replacing some outlets with integrated USB capability; painting as needed; and improving the lighting with new in ceiling recessed LED lighting. Nick also removed an existing kitchen desk and bookshelf area and replaced it with new bar cabinetry that blends with the rest of the kitchen and installed a wine cooler. As we experienced with the first project, Nick and his team work very efficiently; most of this project was done in less than two weeks. They do most of the work themselves and collaborate with quality suppliers for the granite fabrication and cabinet manufacturing. Workmanship is of excellent quality, with attention to the little details. Nick does a great job of communicating status and options and offering suggestions that improve the finished product. We were happy to be able to get on Nick’s busy schedule again and are thrilled to have a “new” kitchen that is brighter, more contemporary, and more functional.

This was the third time we had contracted them to do work for us. They replaced all the doors, replaced the old baseboards and molding, installed recessed lighting, ripped out the old carpet, replaced the ceiling fan, repaired damaged walls, painted the room, and did everything excellently, including cleaning up after the work was finished. We will have them back this year to re-do three bedrooms for us!

Nick gave me an estimate for the job and gave me options for the repair. I was able to schedule the job for the following Tues/Weds. Chris came at the scheduled time on Tuesday and was able to complete the drywalling of the ceiling and explained that the mud had to dry before it could be sanded and primed. I was originally told that the job could be completed in one day, however Chris explained the reason that could not happen and he would be back the next day to complete the job. The next day Chris was detained at another job but called to explain the delay. The job was completed on Wednesday. Chris was very knowledgable and friendly. He cleaned up each day. I felt like Chris was treating this job as if he were working on his own home. The job was completed as expected. I would definetely have Chris back if I needed something done.

Exceptionally well from coming out quickly and providing an estimate to timing installation with roof and rafter replacement. Very satisfied.

We entered into an agreement with Supreme Solutions to renovate a rental unit on our property. The agreement included the following: - removal of defective floors and wall - installation of new subfloor and drywall - installation of new carpet tiles in living and bedrooms - installation of vinyl tile in kitchen and hall - installation of interior doors and closet doors - installation of new light fixtures - replacement of bath vanity and kitchen sink base cabinet - replacement of bathroom floor and wall tiles with ceramic tiles - bathtub reglaze - painting throughout unit Work was agreed to begin on July 5, 2011 and set to be complete between July 19th and July 26th of 2011. Work crews were promised to be on site Monday through Friday, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Work was completed on September 8, 2011. It's unfortunate that there were issues with reliability in adhering to the work schedule and communication because the quality of the work was satisfactory. Hopefully, additional experience will render improved results for future clients.

I chose Chicagoland Remodeling based on Angie?s List reviews. I was very impressed with all the excellent feedback they had received, at the same time I was a little skeptical. So I called and set up an appointment. Wally came to my house for the estimate, he was very polite and professional.We went over the details of the work we wanted to be performed on our home. He said that within a few days we should receive a written estimate. I was very surprised when 2 days later I received 21 pages! I must say that the proposal was very professional and very detailed. I decided to call Chicagoland Remodeling and set up another meeting to go over details and set up a time to start our project. Wally & Izabela came out promptly after my initial phone call and gave me details of how the work will progress. They answered every question that my wife asked in detail ;-), and the price was in line with the other quotes I had received. I must admit Chicagoland Remodeling gave me the best price compared to 3 other companies I had chosen to bid on this project. Izabela asked me if I have picked all the material to be used for the project, or do I need any help finding a supplier. She e-mailed me a list of suppliers for materials that allowed me a wide range of products to choose from. They arranged pick-up and delivery of the materials to my home. Izabela was my job manager, checked on the job regularly to make sure everything was being done right. I was very satisfied with everything and always had quick answers to all my questions. Izabela always responded immediately to any of my phone calls and emails, even on weekends. When the job began, the workmen arrived everyday on time, cleaned up at the end of each day and kept my home clean. I was home for the entire process and they allowed me to watch and took time to answer any questions I had. The bathroom was gutted to the studs and completely rebuilt. They updated plumbing, replaced rotted subfloor, put in a new lighting,build new custom shower, tub, toilet and tile. Mirek patiently worked with me as I handpicked all the travertine tile that was used in the shower and he carefully installed them so that the color variations blended well. I must say I was very impressed with how they prepare a shower area, to prevent a leak. I was very impressed with the install, I even googled it to be sure that this will work. They painted the entire shower as well as the niche and bench with a liquid rubber, when was dry they started installing the tile. We are extremely pleased with the finished bathroom and received many compliments from family and friends. After both bathrooms were done, they started on the kitchen remodeling, I liked that they asked questions before the installation process to be sure that I did not change my mind. I did make some changes during the process, but they were very patient and let me coordinate it all. We ran into a few problems along the way (no surprise for an old building) but they were always able to come up with a solution. Additional charges accrued, most for the pluming-we had to replace due to previous leakage that we did not even know. Izabela prepared us a separate quote for all the extra expenses and emailed me so there was no surprises at the end of the project. Whenever we had questions on the billing, Izabela was very detailed in answering the reasons for those charges. The entire project did not take more than a month from the start to finish. Communication was terrific and everyone could be reached by phone or text. We heard back from them within the hour or at maximum within the day. We were very happy with the professionalism and time schedule and would definitely tell all our friends and family about Chicagoland Remodeling Inc. A word about their vendors: the company that installs the glass doors for the showers is awesome as well as Luke (Granite Contractor) he helped me a lot!!! Saved me a ton of money. One more thing all the Vendors and Subcontractors we used based on CR's recommendation, CR DID NOT TAKE MARK UPS on that. They also let us to USE THEIR CONTRACTOR?S DISCOUNTS at their purveyors. I checked that by paying the bills directly to them based on the provided quotes. CR knows they do the job right, this is a critical factor. Get a great contractor and the rest of the workmanship will be highly skilled as well! Good luck for all of you starting out on this journey to remodel. Angie's list was awesome for us.

We hired Elmark company to redo our master bedroom and bathroom. This was quite elaborate project since we wanted to add big bath tub, separate shower stall and double sink. Our master bedroom needed new paint on the walls and carpet replacement. Mark exceeded our expectations. He also did a very professional job with puting travertine on our bathroom floor and walls as well as creating a countertop. We never had any problems in terms of him showing up for work- if he said he will come at certain hour, he was on time. Communication was very satisfactory. Our phone calls were returned promptly and our questions answered to our satisfaction. Mark was helping us with his expertise, suggesting sometimes better solutions to ones we were thinking of. I would recommend this company and would certainly take them under consideration when planning other projects.

I was in need of a complete ceiling replacement. I took my time and interviewed several potential contractors. Harmonious Decorating & Remodeling was selected. Ron explained exactly what would occur on the project. He stated there would be two workers. I was a bit surprised when only one worker showed up. However that worker explained what would occur and made sure I was comfortable with one person doing the job. The work area was sealed and tarps were in place. Day one the entire ceiling was in the floor. Two days later the ceiling was replaced, primed, and painted. The work area was cleaned thoroughly after the project. I highly recommend Ron and the Harmonious Decorating & Remodeling team. Great Job!!!
