Recent Review: We had a great time discussing our plans with Michael at the initial phase. The whole process was explained to us clearly. We had some issues though with our countertops, which was subcontracted by Top Notch to one of their business partners. The schedule had to be re-adjusted several times since the granite company wasn't able to deliver the product. First incident was that the stone broke when the delivery guy slipped on the day it was supposed to be installed. Second was after the replacement stone came in, the parts didn't match while they were installing it. Although understandable, it did quite delay the project and Top Notch was great at being flexible and finishing our project just a bit over the schedule. One thing I expected to happen that didn't was that all the boxes for the new appliances would be taken away - which I considered part of the debris. But this is just a minor thing and Chris was even nice enough to take away the bigger boxes in his truck. All in all, my wife and I are very satisfied. They have great attention to detail. I'm hoping to get them again when it's time for us to finish our basement.

Recent Review: They were timely and competent. It took a long time to do the work (possibly not their fault) and cost a lot of money.

Recent Review: Steve's staff were very professional, courteous and NEAT. They worked exceptionally well with our personal plumbers, electricians and painters. This particular project took a few months and working with our funeral home business schedule was a challenge for all of us at times. My sister and I can be quite particular and anxious about such details, so if you are at all like us, Steve is your man! Steve is the calmest, most straightforward, patient and reassuring individual who really got us through this whole project! Steve and his staff were able to shift gears whenever the project required changes or more work. Since the completion of that remodeling project a few years ago, we have continued to call Brighton Home Product for miscellaneous repairs and smaller projects. Brighton Home Products store staff have always been very polite and efficient in taking our messages and making sure our phone calls were returned!

Recent Review: Mirek was very attentive to the details. He has a great team that all do phenomenal work. From the demolition, electrician, plumber, granite countertop teams, they all were professional and cleaned up before they left. I was beyond impressed with the work.

Recent Review: Robert came himself from Chicago (drove 3 hours to get to my house) and measured my countertops after I emailed him rough measurements and photos of my kitchen. I had initially chosen the granite, however, Robert highly recommended I reconsider and choose another one that he said I will love, and with some hesitation and being nervous about it, I decided to trust his decision and expertise, since this is his profession and he's done so many kitchens! That same evening his crew came to make the template and take exact measurements. He later sent me a photo of the slab which he hand chose for me, and it looked nice, but still hard to figure out what the end result was going to look like. He said I am going to love it. The next week, his crew came and within an hour, they removed all my countertops, which was amazing to see how fast they worked. As soon as they brought the first piece of my granite, I fell in love with it and was so happy I went with Robert's expertise. It was absolutely beautiful (Uba Tuba)! Then they started bringing in the granite pieces and secured everything, then filled in the seams and put a finish coat on it, then put a 15 year seal on it. Took them them about 8 hours in total (had to run to menards a couple of times) but they completed the entire job that day. They cleaned up the mess and had my granite shining beautifully. A few days later, I found one very small chip and called Robert, and he is going to come back and take care of it...no hesitation. Robert and his company were so easy to work with and were very professional and fast. I was not inconvenienced at all since they got it done in one day! I just had to coordinate a handyman to removed my existing stovetop and sink the day before and then come back the day after to reinstall them. His service made it as painless as renovating a kitchen could be and I highly recommend him!

Recent Review: I called Surface Doctors and spoke with Gunnar about the process and types of finishes. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. He was even kind enough to walk me through their website to view the faux granite finishes and offered to send me samples, which arrived the next day. The appointment was made and the day before we were called to confirm a 8-9 am arrival. Mike arrived at 8am on the nose. He described to me what he was going to do and how long the process would take. He was very nice, professional, and very responsive to all our questions and concerns. We are very happy with the results and would not hesitate to recommend their services or use them again in the future (a kitchen counter is next on the list). A plus for us is that they use Eco-friendly coatings.

Recent Review: Cornel and crew were great. During our initial walkthrough he was thorough and took pictures of things to better reference them when putting together their quote, which made things much easier to discuss. Once work started Cornel was great about being available at all times via text message or phone which was very helpful for my wife and I who had not been through this process before. He helped guide us through the process and offered recommendations where he believed our initial choices may not have been optimal but he was not pushy about them at all and ultimately let us make the decisions on our house. They worked on Saturdays when needed and our neighbors even commented about how dedicated the crew seemed as they were there early in the morning and stayed late most days (we hadn't moved in yet so they were our eyes and ears). There were some minor delays due to the countertop material being delayed but all in all timing worked out well. They even were able to do some "extra" little things for us as we realized we wanted to change out a light fixture or remove our storm door towards the end of the process. Finally, they made sure everything was right before they were done. The new plumbing under the kitchen sink was leaking the day after they left and they made sure to come back and get it fixed to our satisfaction. They even did some paint touch-ups that day since our movers nicked the walls in a couple of places which they definitely didn't have to do but was a welcome surprise. It was a great first time experience for us and we would definitely use them again.

Recent Review: CCCM was one of three estimates we initially received. All estimates were within $100.00 of each other but we decided on CCCM based upon the reviews and quality of workmanship as noted on Angie?s List. One of the biggest decisions we faced was to go with a conventional fiberglass shower base or a Schluter membrane shower install. The Schluter install has a higher price tag than conventional shower bases but according to Terry he has never had one leak plus Terry said he had so much confidence in the system that we could take a shower after the membrane was installed. In addition, this type of system has been used on ?This Old House? and ?Holmes On Homes?. Terry also gave us many contacts for choices- tile, shower doors, sinks etc. The contacts always had good things to say about him. The first thing the guys did when they arrived on Monday morning was to lay down a sticky carpet protector the entire length of the upstairs hallway and partway into the master bedroom. From that point on a tarp was rolled out onto the floor where the demolition would occur. Jim and Brian then demolished the master bath vanity area and shower area. The shower area was reinforced for a future grab bar and insulation was added to the interior walls for noise reduction. The Schluter system was then installed on the shower floor and walls and Jim made sure that everything was watertight. ? ?cement board was glued and screwed into the subfloor every 5-6 inches. I was told that this was to prevent future cracking of the tiles. Then the shower floor and walls were tiled as well as tiling the shampoo niche and adding a soap dish. Jim, ?the tile master?, spent considerable time in completing the tile work in the shower and the floor. We were told initially by Terry that Jim was one of the three best tilers in the state. We agree with that!!! Jim did quality work and is a perfectionist in his trade. My wife called him ?The Artiste? The new vanity and countertop were then installed as well as some minor plumbing changes. Now it was time to add the oak trim and doors. Due to a medical condition, the doors and trim were stained off site and then delivered by the painting contractor. For the door and trim install Terry sent Kevin. We cannot say enough about the excellent work Kevin did in hanging the doors and installing the trim. One door in particular he spent in excess of an hour making sure it was plumb and square. Kevin also had to install a double French door in the master bedroom which also took a considerable amount of time but everything works fine. He was very attentive, meticulous, and neat. He does everything as if he?s working in his own home. Jim and Kevin really showed that they were masters of their trades. Everyone was here at 7:00 AM and at the end of each day the carpet protector was vacuumed and the garage was swept out. On trash pickup day Jim and Kevin moved the trash to the curb as well. When it was time to pay the invoice, Terry gave a detailed listing of the materials purchased as well as any credits due to pricing changes. All in all we were very happy with the work performed by Team Terry and would recommend them to anyone. In our opinion Terry is the Mike Holmes of the northwest suburbs. DO IT RIGHT!!!!

Recent Review: Karol came out to template and a week later his crew came with the perfectly cut countertop. Karol is extremely easy to work with and responds quickly to emails, texts and phone calls so you are never left waiting for answers. His crew was professional and did an amazing job protecting the house and installing the countertop.

Recent Review: The work was done in 4 days as promised. The walls were prepped perfectly. Kris listened well to all our concerns and performed everything that was required. The tile work was also done well. Kris chose very nice granite countertops. We were so satisfied that we are currently discussing our next project with KSR.

Recent Review: I hired NuCoat to refinish my formica countertops as I couldn’t afford the price of granite counters. They came in and made custom looking stone counters that look absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be happier. I will have them come back soon to refinish my cabinets

Recent Review: Joseph repaired the crack and refinished the whole countertop. They look brand new. He is extremely committed to his work and really cares about the finished product. This is a much better alternative than having replace countertops and sink. It looks brand new. Unbelievable. Would highly recommend him to anyone who needs this kind of work.
