One time when they came for their routine treatment, it was about 2 hours before one of our 100-year rains. So, it turned out to be not effective. When I called them, they came back within 2 days. They were thorough. I had no more mosquitoes. In fact, I didn't see any mosquitoes all summer. They come and treat. You don't necessarily need to be home. As terms in punctuality, they have dates when they come.

Anderson Pest Solutions

Chem-Wise Ecological Pest Management
We noticed a few silverfish in our house early in the summer. Combined with a spider issue in our newly finished basement, we figured it was time to call a pest-control expert. I should have done my research before I called Orkin, because they charged me $250 for a one-month service (as I didn't want regular treatments), which was not effective in controlling our spider issue and uncovered no silverfish issue of note. They were also very unhelpful in figuring out the source of a mosquito issue in our home. Chem-wise, however, dedicated a good amount of time on the phone with me talking about our mosquito issue BEFORE i was a paying customer. Their first treatment -- literally half the cost of what I paid Orkin-- was MUCH more effective. I just called them to talk through a fly issue in our house, and once again, the service was excellent. I would highly recommend the company to anyone.

I use them for pest control and lawn. They're excellent. I haven't had a spider or ladybugs or any mice in the garage at all since they've been doing my pest control. The lawn care is $49 a time and the pest control is $79 four times a season for pest control. I've been using them for years.

Greathouse Pest Control Services LLC
We live in an area where there are a lot of trees and plants, thus a great location for bugs and critters. Doug is a very knowledgeable guy. He knows more about insects and rodents, their habits and what works to control them, than anyone around. You could engage a large, national chain for your pest control, but you're paying for marketing, not knowledge. I would recommend Doug Hamel exclusively, and I have to many friends.

Rose Pest Solutions
Everything went as expected. But paying two sources angles list and Rose Pest Control for additional size of the house seemed awkward. I would rather just pay Angie's List or just pay Rose Pest Control.

Recent Review: They were extremely thorough. I have a heavily gardened backyard with a koi pond. I watched as the carefully sprayed a fish safe product into all my flowers and bushes and trees. Even into the lawn. It works awesome! We can finally sit out on our veranda late into the night and get attacked by the little Bloodsuckers. They love my husband. He usually can barely be out until sundown. Now he can enjoy a beautiful summer evening without getting eaten alive

Super Service Award Recent Review: It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The service was okay. The issue I had was that it was done as a Big Deal and looking back at the Big Deal if you read it carefully, there was much of a distinction between coming out and looking at it and saying here are some problems and coming out and fixing them. I don't think it was well explained when you cross that boundary by the person that was there. He was a nice guy and I don't know if he did it intentionally. They solved the problem but it's like you cross the line from this $39 service to a much bigger commitment without really realizing it wasn't made clear that you are crossing that line. When I went back and read the Big Deal I said, Okay what they're really just offering is the first part of it and everything else beyond that constituted additional services which you didn't really understand that was what will happen at the time it happened. They fixed the problems and towards the end you're okay but it was just a bit of a shock. If I just look at the services, it was outstanding. They were responsive, they came out, they did what they said they were going to do and killed the problem. The way the Big Deal got integrated into additional services, that wasn't clear that that was happening at the time it happened. I don't know if they consciously did it and maybe they assumed that I understood where the departure point was and what the additional cost was going to be but that was never discussed. They didn't really discuss what the additional service was and the price for it. They charged me more than the price for the Big Deal. I felt I was taken advantage of because they didn't say those were additional services.
Recent Review: We used them for 5 years up until 2009 and then we dropped them. They were very good. We had a business and we closed it so we stopped using them. We paid $500 a year for 3 residences and a business. They came when they said they were coming. They always did a good job. They were well informed. We had the same woman every time and she was very good. They were reliable and reasonably priced. They were easy to work with and very knowledgeable. We would use them again.
