The quality of the new deck was fantastic. Even the inspector marveled at the craftsmanship. Our only quibble was that the yard was left a bit of a mess with screws and nails. We weren't home most of the time the work was being done, however, and it is always hard communicating purely through email/phone. While we don't plan to have a new deck installed for a long time, we would definitely hire Dino again.

I found Framar/Frackiel Builders by seeing their trucks in my neighborhood. From that moment on it was a constant dream to someday build a deck on the back of my house. This summer that dream came true after more than a decade of yearning! Bonnie and Mark are so nice to deal with, honest, hardworking and fair. I got a great looking deck! The father and crew son of two came on four of the hottest days of summer to build my beautiful deck. I'm so happy every day to just relax on it! What is interesting most is that other deck builders told me the wait during summer on a deck is 4 to 6 weeks because it is their busiest time of year and they only have two people who do it. Framar/Frackiel Builders says they put up so many decks and porches a week because they have so many different crews working in multiple locations throughout Chicagoland. They were able to start in 7 -10 days, the wait being mostly to obtain the Chicago Permit. The cost was less than other estimates AND the pleasantness of working with Framar/Frackiel Decks far surpassed anyone else with whom I've worked!

DAL Builders
We hired DAL to replace our existing wood deck with a composite one. They also replaced one of our gutters, and tuckpointed the masonry around the bottom of our house. Tim and his team were extremely professional, communicative, and did a wonderful job. The new deck looks fantastic. We’d definitely use DAL for another project.

The carpenters were very professional and arrived promptly at 7:00 a.m. every day. They answered questions and made minor modifications as requested along the way. The quality of workmanship was superb! Our overall experience with Unique Deck Builders was excellent from our initial meetings with Joel to agree upon the work to be done to the finished product. Joel had numerous pictures of decks they had completed to provide us with options for materials to be used. In addition, he presented us with a proposal and drawing in a timely manner. My experience with Deck Company was perfect from start to finish. I did my research and narrowed my choice down to Deck Company and two other highly rated contractors in my area. Price was about the same for Deck Company and one other contractor (with the third being higher and with not as good communication). Given that I thought Deck Company had the best communication from the start and slightly better overall reviews, I went with them and could not be happier. Keith was excellent in going over the details of the job and how it would go. Nate and his crew performed the work right on schedule and were punctual each day. And the end product is amazing! If you want an amazing new deck that will be done at a fair price by guys that have a passion for what they do and really know what they are doing, I fully recommend Deck Company.

Recent Review: i had met with five companies total for our porch and siding. Some estimates were one or two lines of explanation for a $15000 job. The Siding Group gave a very detailed, complete bid which covered everything they would be doing. Mr. Borowski spent a lot of time going over the product choices, the details of the installation. We then decided to go with them for the porch, and the process for that bid was just as complete. The crew showed up early, prepared for the day and then started at 8 every day. They worked quickly and efficiently. The owner of the Siding Group stopped by frequently to make sure everything went smoothly. The crew cleaned up daily. The porch and siding are beautiful.

Super Service Award Recent Review: Had the whole house painted. Original was white but I wanted color. I was scared but I needed to be bold. A lot of wood rot. Marco and his team came promptly, earlier than scheduled, and were very professional. I work long hours so I they were really left to themselves the first 2-3 days. I would just come home at 6 or 7, check any work done that day, if I had a question I would text and he responded right away. Marco also did a lot of carpentry so I didn't have to hire a second person. On their second to the last day I was home all day. That was when I first met him and his crew, before that I just dealt with his work product. His crew was cheerful, dressed professionally. I had some anxieties about the color. He helped me decide how to proceed. He had some very helpful suggestions regarding color matching and how to paint the details. Because of rain I later called for a touch up. They did it within 2 days. Weather was unpredictable, but because they work fast they beat the rain. Paint dries before it drizzled. I would hire them again.

Super Service Award Recent Review: Our house is 3 1/2 story 99 year old house that is quite vertical, which made our job difficult. Last fall/summer we were late to sign-up Color Dynamics to do our job. They fit us in right at the end of the season, and came back in July to finish the job. The attention to detail and quality from the owner, Anthony Giangrossi, to the supervisor, to the staff was exceptional! All the little quirky details were handled to perfection. from the painting to the clean-up, to repairs, to planning made the job go as planned and with great results!

Super Service Award Recent Review: The deck is great. Once the plans and permits were all settled, the work was scheduled and construction was very fast. The quote given included all the costs for plans and permits, with the exception of a survey we needed to provide. When the building inspector came at the end of the project, I even overheard him telling the builder he always does a good job and complimenting him on the lumber he'd managed to get. We're very happy with our new deck.

Recent Review: Deck was sanded by hand using palm sanders to very nice effect. The stain looks great and water continues to bead on the deck 12 months later. However, in a few places, the stain broke down leaving the cedar unprotected. To his credit, Steve, the owner, remedied the issue with minimal fuss and the deck is back to tip top shape. Will definitely reuse his services.

Recent Review: After receiving a number of estimates, Titan's price was competitive, in the mid-range of estimates. However, we ultimately chose Titan because of their sales rep Tim Nilles. Tim's roofing experience offered the knowledge we needed in solving some longstanding roofing concerns. His genuine interest in quality products and workmanship was evidenced both by the product selection offered and by his final inspection of the work performed. Tim's enthusiastic approach is refreshing, and his flexibility allowed for a relaxed experience in choosing the contracted services. Tim shined in his explanations, in his fairness, and in his unique ability to treat our home like it was his own. Despite tackling multiple estimates every day, Tim was never bored nor condescending with our questions. He remained focused and accessible to our concerns. When the roof deck tear-off indicated baffles were required, or a discussion about more roof vents arose, Tim explained our options and prices. The job required about 4000 sq. ft. of shingling, and the work crew of 7 was on-time, worked efficiently and finished the task in two days, ahead of schedule. Although Titan is an accredited installer of GAF Timberline shingles, we chose the Owens-Corning Duration shingles, for their added strength and the warm brown tone of the Desert Tan color. The new roofing on the farmhouse and garage look spectacular, complimenting the stone fireplace, the flagstone walks, and garden edging. Thank you Titan, and thank you Tim.

Recent Review: I called Walter at night on a Wednesday, 2/16/12 and explained I needed my new condo painted as soon as possible. I explained I was moving in on 2/24/12. We met the next day, he brought a Benjamin Moore fan deck as requested, checked out the space and had an estimate to me that very evening. We agreed to the price and specs that Friday. He started the job on Tuesday, 2/21 because of the holiday my building does not allow contractors on holidays. Needless to say, Walter finished painting my apartment on Thursday, 2/23/12 (2 colors and 2 finishes). He actually had time to accomodate my additional request of changing the switchplates and older electrical sockets. I Enjoyed working with Tapia's Works and would absolutely use them again! Professional, timely, affordable and expert paint job.

Only disadvantage was the long wait (not their fault they are just so popular and busy, and now I see why), and they did let me know at the very start to expect a four week wait before the work could be done. But once work started it went like clockwork.
