They came out three weeks ago. It had been a while since the lawn had been serviced, so they had to go over it a couple of times and they charged me extra for that. The person that I spoke to was named Michael, he was friendly, courteous and I think that they did a very effective job. They got the work done fairly quickly and I have had no problems with the work that they did. I would use them again.

Pedro's Landscaping
I called Pedro in early April and made an appt for him to come and estimate doing our spring cleanup. He came on a Sunday and gave me an estimate; I got another from one of the companies that services a lot of our neighbors and it was at least twice as high as Pedro's. When I called him back he was able to schedule me for the following week; his crew was on time, worked a long day and then Pedro came back to finish up a couple of days later (they had slightly underestimated the amount of mulch and run out, otherwise they would have finished the same day.) Although the price seems high, almost 50% of it was the cost of the mulch; also, we have a very large yard. This was the first time we have had this work done and not done it ourselves, so I know how much time it takes, and I am entirely satisfied that Pedro's price was substantially less than any other landscape contractor would have done it for. If we had not gotten such a good price we would have continued to do it ourselves, which would have taken several weekends. In addition, the work was performed superbly. The edges were deep and sharp, the mulch spread thick and carefully and with regard to plants just coming up, and the leaves raked exactly far enough back to create a wooded boundary with our neighbors, while providing an attractive, neat understory for our shrubbery. Overall we couldn't be more pleased.

Mike responded almost immediately to my request for a quote. He called around 6:00 PM the day we had agreed to meet to tell me that he was still tied up at another job, but could come later. I suggested we reschedule for later date. He came that date, spent time going over things with me and emailed me an estimate a day later. I like it and asked him to proceed with the work. As spring came early this year, he was very backed up, but still managed to come within a week of my last call. I was not home the day they came, but my wife was, and she reports that they worked diligently for close to 6 hours. The work was done very well and the bill he sent me was exactly what he had told me it would be. A great company to work with.

Recent Review: After removal of a swiming pool, we were left with a gravel patch covered with weeds. John graded out the pool area and the adjacent lawn to correct a steep bank. New loam was added to the entire yard, and raked out very well. This was followed by Hydro-Seeding. John's men were very pleasant and helpful. I would hire them again.

They provide both fall and spring clean-up as well as mulching services. It's very easy to communicate with the owner by email, and he has always responded quickly to my inquiries. We set a mutually agreeable date and he has always been prompt. He comes himself to participate in and supervise the work, gets the job done quickly and our lawn area looks excellent afterward. Their prices are very reasonable compared to some of the other landscaping services in our area. Based on the 2 years we've used them, I'd recommend the company without any hesitations.

Recent Review: Dave was great, he contacted me immediately after requesting a quote, answered all of my questions, and gave me advice on what types of seed and fertilizer to buy. On the day they came out it was a 2 man crew working for about 2 hours. They did a great job clearing out all the dead grass, and we had a lot. They cleared out all the debris, aerated, then seeded and fertilized. Overall it was a great experience.

Recent Review: The work was done quickly professionally and completed on time. I want to give an A++ for VJR on their communication & availability. Vinny was very reachable (actually traded many text messages) as I wanted to clarify specifics of the expected work, as well as, continue to add to the list of services as I felt the pricing was very reasonable. I had not performed a spring/fall cleanup for over three years (since we had gotten a puppy who was damaging the yard, etc...) VJR not only cleaned out the beds as requested but also removed a lot of debris (raked leaves, grass clippings, branches) that I had piled in a small wooded area of our yard (It was an eyesore). They were very flexible when I continued to add services - trim all the shrubs next to the patio, pull out 6 shrubs and two small trees in front yard, etc... and still performed the work in the timely fashion with no risk to the quality of work... We are considering having the front walkway & stairs repaired/replaced and VJR will be on top of the list for our next phone call.

Vinny Mirabito came to give me an estimate for our yard work on the day that I called him. He came the following week,actually a day early because rain was predicted for the scheduled day, and he and his helper did an excellent job. They cut and trimmed the existing grass, raked, reseed and added about 40 bags of soil. We could never have done the job they did. He reminded us to water and we plan to have him return on a regular basis to cut and maintain our lawn and hedges. Vinny is very pleasant, organized and hard working. When we realized he also did interior cleaning, we have scheduled him for bimonthly cleaning.
