Boston Solar Panel Repair

While the installation and running of solar panel went well, when I tried to cancel the installation of additional solar panels. They have not returned my deposit for these additional solar panels. I was calling them for almost 6 month and ongoing.

This was an excellent service, super professional. The solar panels look great on my home. I absolutely love my service.

SunRun acquired Vivint who I originally got solar with in last 2014. I had a total roof replacement in July 2021. My panels were removed and put into a warehouse. Once the roof was completed, I schedule SunRun to place the panels back on my roof. It took until September for a team to come out to work on my roof. The first appointment was September 7th. I received over twenty email reminders and text about the appointment. No one showed up or called on September 7th. I had to call and wait on hold for over 2 hours to let me know that no one would be able to come out to the house that day. I was rescheduled for September 18th and no one showed up again. My appointment was rescheduled to September 30th. When the team arrived they placed mounts on my brand new roof and then informed me they could not find my panels after the mounts were place. From that day until now I have not been able to get this resolved. I have a brand new roof and mounts with no panels. I am being billed monthly for no service or solar (averages $45-$100 per month) but I do not have panels nothing is hooked up to my electric as it was removed when I had my roof replaced. I have called, emailed, gone to the BBB and requested several times removal of the mounts and fixing my roof or panels and still receive no response. Vivint was wonderful. Sun Run not so much. Do your research before choosing a company.

Future Energy Solar gave me exactly what I needed, great pricing on the solar system. Great customer service ,kept me updated and submitted all paperwork right on time. On the day of installation everything was installed symmetrically and professionally. System was turned on within two weeks. It's been 11 months and I have saved close to $2700. Happy Client.

Needed service as the company I originally hired went out of business. My whole system went down and had no one to call. I searched the web and found Beacon Solar. They came out right away and looked at my system, contacted the manufacturer for me and had my system back up and running in no time. Went smoothly--this is the second time we have used them. They were referred to me by a contractor I trust, so I did not shop around for price and don't want to rate that aspect. However, my dealings with the company have been very positive--we had a complication on the first job that was handled very fairly.

I cannot rave enough about Boston Solar. From the sales, the service, the installation, then to the post installation service, everyone was great! They were all very transparent throughout the process, letting me know the next steps. I had some delay, due entirely from my HOA, but Boston Solar was always in my corner. The sales team was great, they made sure I understood all the steps, which was very helpful since I knew nothing about solar before meeting with everyone. Then moving forward I felt like I had a team at my disposal, it was great, every question I had someone was there to answer. Mali and her support team were there for everything, even when I asked the same question 4 times. The installation team was also awesome! Friendly and efficient. They even sent Tom out after installation to explain everything to me once more, just in case I forgot or didn’t understand prior to the system being on, and to explain monitoring, etc. I will highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

Solar panel installation on roof of home went very well. Scheduled in May, install occurred in mid-August. SunBug was not the cheapest option, but very professional & prompt in communicating the details and coordinating the necessary paperwork with the electrical company. The installers worked quickly and did a fantastic job. I was nervous about having them work with the electrical system in a new home, but they were able to integrate with the circuit breaker with no issues and worked with me to make the necessary installed equipment (switch, meter, conduit down to roof, inverter, etc...) as unobtrusive as possible. We had a small wrinkle with their ability to install on a low-pitch dormer, but it was resolved after about a day, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. Solar panels are generating about as much power as advertised, and though it has only been a few months there have been no hardware issues so far.

Had a great experience with Sunbug. The salesperson was very low-stress/not pushy, etc. We have a peculiar old house and they bent over backward to design a system that would work for us. Install was done quickly and the team onsite were knowledgeable and did a clean job of it. Hit a snag with Eversource and Sunbug helped me get through it. System has been working great now for 8 months. Would recommend them.

I requested and received quotes from several installers ( From EnergySage.com) for a solar panel system with LG panels When we had Solar Wolf come out for a site visit they wanted to substitute a cheaper panel and charge us the same money even though we decided to go with a smaller system with eight fewer panels. We rebid the job and found another installer to install the original 48 LG panels and still paid $10,000 less than what Solar Wolf wanted. We actually found several installers that were much cheaper. It pays to shop around and do your homework.

I went through a thorough evaluation processes that started with EnergySage and with a friend who was an expert in the field. The numbers such as install price and warranty cannot describe everything. In the end it boiled down to two things (1) Do I trust the company to do a good job at installation and future maintenance and (2) Will the company survive the length of the maintenance window. Here, talking to the owner of Great Sky was super helpful and I realized that he truly believes in creating a sustainable future. His words were backed up by his crew who were professional in the installation and helpful in getting the system setup. I highly recommend Great Sky for your solar needs.

They were great. Communication was excellent. Follow up has been excellent. Always there with answers and follow through. They create an excellent relationship that doesn't end when they finish the job. Most months we pay nothing for electricity. When we do it is a modest amount. Couldn't be happier.

Throughout the whole process the Great Sky team was communicative (almost more than I wanted). Expectations were set up front and met. Most importantly, attention was paid to installing my system in a manner than is ascetically pleasing and blends into my house. Over the past year and a half, the system has worked flawlessly and delivered more power than estimated.
