Recent Review: very well - it was a bit of a drawn out process, since we had to have inspectors involved, but Natalie waited here while I had to go run an errand. Bill knew what he was doing and it's been working great! A couple years ago i had them come out and look at the air conditioner. They did a through inspection and couldn't find anything wrong. I was assured all was ok and didn't worry about getting told I needed false repairs. Basically, I trust them to do the work.

Recent Review: I called Joe on a Tuesday to see if he could swing by our new house to give us a quote on what it would take to re-brick two, 200 year old fireplaces. We scheduled at time for 11am Saturday, and he was there at 11am on Saturday. Joe took a very thorough look at the fireplaces and up the flues and provided a few options and a ballpark cost to demolish and re-brick, but wanted to think about the best way to demo the fireplaces considering their age. We had already had the chimneys inspected and were told that the interior of the flues needs repair in order to use them, so Joe took this into consideration. After thinking about it, Joe called me and very honestly informed me of his opinion that demo'ing the bricks in the fireplace could very well cause damage up the chimney, which would then require complete chimney replacement. We were planning on have the chimney repaired next year anyways so I told Joe I will call him once that is scheduled. Joe is very easy to talk to and work with and provided his price and opinions in an honest & timely manner. We're doing some exterior work in the spring (new stone driveway, new foundations for compressors, new pour concrete in the basement) and I will absolutely ask Joe to quote this work. I have full faith he'll do any of these projects very well.

Recent Review: Although I had to wait several months for a callback (all calls go straight to voicemail), they arrived on time and were very professional and fixed the problem with the gas fireplace ignition quickly.

Recent Review: My fireplace had developed a leak after I converted my heating system from oil to gas (oil furnace was vented to fireplace, and after conversion the smoke was escaping through the old ductwork). I contacted Jim and after a few emails and a little bit of trouble scheduling (this was in early/mid March, which I'm sure is their busy season) we scheduled a time for him to come out and give an estimate (which seemed to be a very fair price). Initially he thought he would need to cut a hole in the wall to fix the leak, but as they started the work they found they could brick/mortar up the side of the fireplace from behind the wall (in the furnace room where the ductwork was removed). This was extremely helpful as it prevented us having to patch/paint the drywall as we would have had to do if the hole in the wall needed to be cut. Work looks great, and functions perfectly. Price appears to be fair/in line with other services, and Jim was easy to work with and showed up when he said he would. Great experience overall, and would highly recommend!

Recent Review: Arrived on time, right to work and stayed all day. There was damage that revealed itself after they started fixing what they intended to and they fixed all without raising the price. Great guys who know their business. My chimneys look great - I highly recommend Horizon!

Recent Review: I couldn't have asked for better service. They were highly professional. When they were done, everything was left as neat as a pin. Their investigation found that the 1932 chimney had only partial lining and that the interior of the chimney was deteriorating. We now have full linings for both the furnace and fireplace. A large glob of old cement blocking a portion of the chimney was discovered and expertly drilled out with only two exterior bricks being removed. These were neatly replaced. They were responsive and came exactly when they said they would, both for the initial evaluation and for the work itself. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.
