Recent Review: Prendergast Oil had been our oil provider and boiler maintenance at our old house and we were always very pleased with their service. We moved in October and immediately applied for the Mass Save Heat Loan and began seeking estimates to replace the extremely inefficient heating system in our new home (which also heated the hot water inconsistently, so it was an inconvenience on it's best days and a expensive nightmare when the weather turned cold). Tom was prompt with his response, showed up on time, and followed through with a detailed written estimate that was competitive with the other providers (many did not give written estimates at all). Tom even helped us try to speed up our application with Mass Save as we have a small child and the lack of hot water made the winter months (as mild as they were this year) challenging when it came to bath time. When the HEAT loan came through, Tom and his crew were ready to go and did all of the work in one day (we contracted a separate company to haul away the old oil tank). They came back two times to help us balance the system to warm up some rooms that are further from the boiler and keep the rooms closest to the boiler from being too hot. They also provided phone support when we had a low-water warning on the new boiler (a simple fix). All in all, Tom has more than earned our trust, our respect, and our business and we'd recommend Prendergast Oil to anyone looking for oil and/or gas heating system work.

Recent Review: I interviewed Rich in 1999 for replacement of 2 heating systems that were installed just after WW2. He became my only choice for a plumbing contractor, and has remained our choice ever since. He is not the cheapest, but when it comes to excellent quality work, I will pay a bit more. He has helped us out for over 15 years. If you look on his website, you will see the photo of a driveway heating system. That photo was taken in my basement. This year, we have had over 5' of snow. The driveway heater has kept us safe (before this we had cars slide into the street), and given us a place to put snow for less money than it would cost to hire someone to plow or shovel. He has come when busy and kept our heaters going through the long winter months. He's also kept us in hot showers for years. He has kept our neighbors warm and in hot water for many years too. He is pleasant, tidy, kind, funny, and professional. He's the kind of guy you can trust in your home when so many others cannot be trusted. You know that when Rich has finished a job, everything will be working well, all work will be properly permitted and inspected, and your home will be safe. That is a contractor that you want to work with.

Recent Review: I first called Mouradian Plumbing when I saw a puddle under my water heater. Eric came out the same day to diagnose the problem and offered me multiple options. Rather than replace the hot water tank, Eric upgraded the system to a high efficiency tankless system. Not only was the installation meticulous, but he cleaned up everything. Eric also informed me of multiple rebates and tax incentives. I have since used Mouradian Plumbing for a boiler and a kitchen and bathroom renovation with equally impressive results. With all this attention to detail, it?s hard to believe that his prices were more than 30% lower than every other estimate I received. We couldn't be happier.

Recent Review: The work performed in the abandonment of the underground oil tank was done in a very professional manner by the assigned workers. From the moment they arrived, they explained every detail on how the job was going to be accomplished. Once they had the tank exposed, they examined it for any leakage and cleaned it of its residue in preparation for inspection by the city's fire department. Once the City of Yonkers Fire Department made its inspection and determined that there was no spillage, the tank was then filled with the appropriate material and closed. The area was then prepared and returned to its present condition. While all of this was being done, another member of the team was engaged in the installation of the new above ground oil tank. The installation entailed running a line from the new tank, around two sides of the house, to the boiler room. Once the installation was completed we were instructed on the functioning of the tank. The work was performed in a very professional manner and to our satisfaction. The workers knew what needed to be done and did it with care and left the place meticulous. It is without hesitation that I highly recommend them for your needs.

Recent Review: JOHN HANLON WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT, AND PERSONABLE. HE ORGANIZED THE PROJECT WELL. HE ARRANGED DELIVERY OF THE NEW TANK, SUPERVISED ITS INSTALLATION IN THE BASEMENT, PUMPED THE OIL OUT OF THE BURIED TANK, AND FILLED THE NEW TANK WITH OIL IMMEDIATELY SO THAT WE WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT HEAT. HE DUG UP THE OLD TANK, TAKING GREAT PAINS TO NOT DAMAGE A FLAG STONE WALKWAY THAT PARTIALLY COVERED THE UNDERGROUND TANK. HE HAD NEW DIRT DELIVERED AND FILLED IN THE HOLE LEFT BY THE TANK'S REMOVAL. HE HAULED AWAY THE OLD TANK, ARRANGED FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT INSPECTION, OBTAINED ALL OF THE APPROVAL FORMS AND PROMPTLY SENT THE CERTIFICATIONS. HE WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE, WILLING TO EXPLAIN THE WORK, POLITE, NEAT, AND HELPFUL. I DREADED HAVING THE TANK REMOVED FEARING A GREAT DISRUPTION. JOHN HANLON TOOK CHARGE, DID THE WORK PROMPTLY, AND EFFICIENTLY. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIM.
