I called Dan because my back door was stuck closed. I thought it would need to be replaced, but Dan was able to fix it so it opened and closed nicely. He recommended I have a storm door installed to protect it for the future (it had been protected by a porch for years, but the porch was torn down last summer). I ordered the door Dan recommended, and he picked it up for me at Lowe's. He just installed it this morning, and it looks beautiful, opens and closes easily, and will protect my wooden door so I won't have any future problems. I would definitely recommend Dan if you need help with a door.

Working with Bob Phalan is great. He is very communicative and responsive. He clearly takes his work very seriously and cares a great deal about the final product and how your house looks. Bob worked on our project for several days, including through the weekend. He was always able to explain what he was doing and why. Our front door is apparently a weird size and he was able to figure out a way to get our storm door installed and looking really nice despite the somewhat odd measurements. He didn't just apply one coat to the front door. He analyzed the door to figure out what type of wood it was, sanded it down, applied primer, and then did the final paint and it looks very good. I will absolutely contact Bob Phalan again for projects around the house. He is very knowledgeable, reliable, hardworking, and capable.

Mike's Maintenance
Excellent! I called Mike because my outside storm door had ripped almost completely away from the door jamb, the result of strong winds. The screws were barely hanging on and the door would not open or close properly. He called me back promptly, came out to visit and provided a written estimate. Mike made the repair and reattached the door. It was fixed but still scraped a bit on the sill when opened and closed. He noticed the door was originally mounted a bit crooked and spent a good deal of time re-installing the door. It now opens and closes perfectly, better than it ever did! (originally installed by Lowe's) It is clear he is interested in his work and takes pride in it. He did not have to spend the extra time on this repair but he couldn't leave it the way it was and made the extra effort to make it better. This was a positive experience from start to finish and I would definitely call Mike again for any type of work I need at my house.

had purchased 2 storm doors that I needed to have installed. The first one Fran tried to install was the wrong size, but in the process he identified some wood that had begun to rot and needed to be replaced, which he did. After he finished at my house for the day, he had a stop to make at Home Depot, and was kind enough to look at of their selection of storm doors, and even dropped off a brochure afterwards to me. I found his advice on the different types of doors invaluable. The second door was installed without a hitch the following day.

Recent Review: They do show up, just like the name says. On time, ready to go. The whole process took a long time, because the door was a custom order (84 inches high is very non-standard these days, apparently) and because we were away during the first possible opening in Alan's summer schedule, which is pretty busy. But eventually we got a mutually workable date, Alan and his associate showed up, and the new door got installed in precisely the amount of time he had estimated, including time to show me how the storm/screen changing procedure works. (Not easily, BTW, but that's Andersen Window's fault, not Alan's. Don't believe anything anybody tells you about how easy their "snap in/out" system works.) Cleanup was thorough and the whole experience very pleasant.
Recent Review: Jeff has helped us with our old house for the past 2 years. We started with window restoration and also storm windows where the work done was excellent. Then we did a large basement renovation and Jeff's attention to detail and his expertise in carpentry really came into play, working out awkward countertops and very tricky windows and making sure the finished product was first class. We continue to work with Jeff on our projects and would highly recommend his work.
