I had one of the Bosch dishwashers that was recalled. I called the Bosch 800# to confirm, and they told me to stop using the dishwasher immediately due to a fire hazard. I had the option to have them fix at N/C or get 40% off a new dishwasher. Given our dishwasher was 7-8 years old, we opted for the new dishwasher, which was shipped to our home. Having used Diamond in the past, I called Darrell to let him know I would need his services; he said to let him know when the dishwasher was delivered, and he'd come by to install. I got the dishwasher, and we made arrangements to install within 36 hours. Darrell and Scott came, began removing the old recalled dishwasher; when they went to disconnect the electrical, they found that there was evidence of overheating..,. the wires had all melted together, and there were burn marks within the dishwashers electrical metal box. Lesson #1: when your appliance has been recalled, DO WHAT THE MANUFACTURER SAYS! Who knows how long it would've been until our dishwasher caught fire!! Anyway, Darrell and Scott carefully cut back and re-stripped the Romex wiring, connected the new dishwasher, snaking the water and discharge hoses the right way (as opposed to the way the previous plumber had snaked the discharge hose, using gravity to help with discharging the water), installed the appliance, and ran a test cycle. New dishwasher installed, and running well. Darrell took the old dishwasher for disposal, at no additional charge. $150/hr, and they spent 2 hours - including readjusting my front storm door which was closing too harshly! They cleaned up as they went along, and left the site in perfect condition. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable plumber that does quality work.
