Complete SCUMBAGS...Worked for months on design and install on new construction home...nothing ever goes according to plan. Once I had line of sight on project completion, I went back to schedule the job and these aholes Ray Varela and Bob Guarino jacked up my price by 5K (within 90 days). This was after several attempts to bait and switch on several quotes...adding here, removing there...trying to inflate the price decrease the scope. I have several quotes documented and will provide evidence to anyone who asks to prove my point...of course these scumbags will dispute my story...but I own the facts. Too many contractor options avail...STAY AWAY FROM SSG!!

He gave us a reasonable estimate, but insisted on several meetings. He made promises verbally, but then gave us a contract that did not reflect his verbal promises. Tried to pressure us to sign immediately. Then tried to get my wife to "sign the contract and fax it over," as if signing the contract ourselves would protect us in any way. Then, when we complained, told us to rewrite the contract and send it to him. When we did so, he stopped returning our calls. Overall, an unpleasant waste of time.

It went very well. Matt is a responsive and energetic young fellow. The work was done as promised. When we found that the area that Matt filled settled over the winter and became a bit lower, Matt came back and put in additional loam with no cost and no argument. His price is also very reasonable. I purchased a storage shed from a local vendor who recommended this contractor to help me prepare my yard for the shed. I cleared a rear corner of our lot, and then I called this contractor to obtain an estimate. Specifically, I wanted him to remove all of the tree stumps, properly level that corner of the lot, and then create a pad for the shed using gravel and crushed stone. The contractor's original estimate was for $600.00. The work was performed as scheduled, and while at my home, the contractor asked what I was planning to do with my above-ground swimming pool, which had been damaged over the winter. I indicated that I was planning to dismantle the pool. The contractor then offered to crush it and remove it for an additional charge. I agreed to the additional charge and the contractor performed the additional work as discussed. Overall, this contractor performed satisfactory work. He was very accessible via telephone, and he returned all of my calls. The work was performed in a timely manner, and it began on schedule despite some weather-related challenges. I would recommend this contractor to others, and I would hire this contractor in the future.

First the price was fair, in line with what other quality excavators estimated. Matt was man of his word if he told me he would show up on a given day he did. He stayed with the job until the work was completed. Matt and his crew took great care to minimize damage to surrounding garden and flowers. The pool needed to be totally removed because of local building codes. This was a big job ( for me ) and I was more then pleased with the work of Matt and his crew. I delayed this review because the final Loam and grade was held because the hot summer was not good for growing grass. Matt had me hold back some money for the final steps. When I hired a landscaper he worked with Matt and I ended up making the final payment ( a fair price ) to the landscaper. All of this flowed smoothly and I am a very satisfied customer.

I didn't want the cheapest price. They were not expensive. Dave Kelly, the owner, was so easy to deal with and there was no pressure. He was so, so good to deal with. We would absolutely use them again. They were very experienced at putting in pools unlike many that are fly by night. I liked that they are a small company and I got a lot of TLC. I didn't want to deal with a large company because I was afraid. They were very responsive and very professional. They did exactly what they said they were going to do.

I contacted Sean last year about building a deck for my above ground pool but I had contacted him in mid-summer and his schedule was completely booked so I decided to hold off until this year 2013. I reached out to Sean in march and was scheduled for mid-May for him to start building. Sean started on May 24th and took only 5 days to finish the deck and that included 1 day that he couldn't work because of rain. Sean did a remarkable job and is a true finish carpenter! He was truly amazing to work with and helped us out immensely with the design and dimensions. We had our first party and a friend who used to be a carpenter could not have been more impressed with the quality of Sean's work, in his own words he said and quot;He really went above and beyond with his craftsmanship and attention to detailand quot;. A good contractor who doesn't cut corners is really hard to find nowadays and Sean is definitely one of those guys. I am already in the process of scheduling him for my next project in the fall.

The time quoted to complete the job was 1 to 2 weeks faster than the others quoted, which was a deciding factor. Installation was on time, despite the week of heavy rain right when the liner was being installed, which makes installation much more difficult and time consuming.
