Boston Rat Exterminators

SCAM ARTIST!! CONSUMERS BEWARE!! I paid Patrick McNeil $500 to remove carpenter bees and plug their nest holes, and mice for mice extermination. He was here all of 20 minutes and all he did was plug the nest holes with a typical bathroom caulk. Told me there be a one year warranty and Will not return my call or text. One of the many aliases He works under is "Hawks Wildlife".

All we can say is, Karla is a gift from the universe. We had rats in our basement this summer and almost had a nervous breakdown. Sure Karla came out, gave an assessment, set traps, etc., etc. That was great. But really it was her calmness that talked us down from the ledge that was the most welcome. Unlike another exterminator, she didn't try to freak us out and upsell. She just said, "well, I know it's hard, but they're just rats and we'll figure out what to do." When "we had activity" (that is, rats in the traps) she came out to take care of them and through it all she was calm and good humored (I was hysterical and ill-tempered). We plugged up the hole, got rid of the rats, and had a little Rat-TSD therapy and it was all good. I think Karla should go on Oprah and be Oprah's personal exterminator. If you're freaking out about rats, call Karla. Believe me, I will.

in one visit, inspected the affected area (the kitchen), they placed bait, and instructed us on how to clean up the areas where the mice had been (using rubbing alcohol which sterilizes and evaporates quickly). With their expertise in commercial kitchens and years in the business they were especially affective. The mice were gone with a day!

I called 3 pest removal companies before Action and none had returned my call yet. Tim got back to me within about a half hour. I spoke to him on a Thursday and he had someone come by Monday (they're not open over the weekend). Only my husband was home when Chad came on Monday and he said he was nice and professional. I wasn't expecting the problem to be mice so I didn't think to ask in advance what their process is. Bait was set in the basement and a few holes filled on the outside of the house. I called a couple days after Chad came because I was worried about what would happen if a mouse got into the main part of the house and my cat got it/ate it. Tim called me back that day and assured me that their bait did not cause secondary poisoning and said to call him back if I was still having an issue in 2 weeks. After a few days I wasn't hearing the scurrying in the walls and ceiling any more. I now have have the smell of dead mouse in one of my rooms. The con is that part of my house stinks now but the pro is that the mice are (hopefully all) dead. I might look into different methods if I have a mice issue again but I really appreciated that Tim responded to me in a timely manner before and after the service was done and Chad showed up on time which is honestly hard to come by with a lot of businesses these days.

Alex and Josh both responded promptly. They finished a nice job and gave 6 months warranty. It was the second time I hired them and I am very happy with their services.

They got the scheduling wrong on four separate occasions requiring rescheduling and making us late for work. Not impressive.

We have used this vendor before and had a positive experience. Not so this time. We asked for a change in the approach to the extermination, as compared to our original quote. Matt told us the price would go up by 400%. We had competitive quotes. None of the other vendors asked for more money. I tried to negotiate with Matt. He told me his company is not a used car lot and you get what you pay for with other vendors. What I was being asked to pay for with EHS was unreturned e-mails/phone calls, snide e-mails, and unscrupulous price gouging. There are plenty of other vendors in these difficult times who will do the job just as well AND have better manners with customer service.

Very good. On the phone they said they only bait and trap for mice - no inspections. I asked what they use to trap and if I could get it myself. they said I could do everything they could do myself, as long as I didn't mind picking up the traps with the dead mice. I appreciated the honesty and forthrightness.

Julio has been our exterminator for 10 years prior to opening his own business. From the very first time he came to our home he was professional, polite and thorough addressing our exterminating needs. He even climbs under our deck to spray which makes sitting out on our deck so much more enjoyable. Julio is also very honest about our exterminator needs and is always respectful and trustworthy in our home. Without hesitation I highly recommend Julio and his team.

He had to come back a couple of times, he came out right away when I called him. After the third visit there was no evidence of mice any longer.

They sent a very friendly technician, who came on time, toured the house, and installed 16 poison bait packages in strategic locations. I wouldn't have known where to place them and in what quantity, and probably would have paid as much as half the price in the materials alone. Mice are now gone. Good value.

Of the three vendors I contacted, NW Pest sounded the most reasonable and thorough about what needed to be done. They came when they said they would, explained where they thought the problem areas were, and set baited mouse traps around the basement and first floor. About 60 days after the first treatment, the mice stopped coming, so I am satisfied. I also signed up for the additional treatments 3 times a year.

I had mice in my home. EHS came out within 3 days of my first call. The office was extremely friendly and helpful from the get-go. Mark set mice traps throughout the house, as well as close off any holes where the mice might come in. He came right on time, was very friendly, and answered all questions that I had. Since the initial visit, he's been back twice to check on the traps to ensure that there was no more activity. The mice was all gone within a week of him setting the first traps. The second time he came back, he found that they ate the bait, and by the third visit, all was quiet. They are professional and most importantly, what they did worked! I have signed on for a year-round long term contract with them because I feel good about having them controlling any pests in our home.

They were very good, they answered all our questions and were prompt. We have a yearly contract with Waltham for the termites.

It went find except for the technician was kind of sloppy with the work he did, so some of the methods that he used left some residue on the floors and walls. Otherwise, they were prompt and the problem seems to have resolved.
