Mike and Rick removed a built-in air conditioner and installed a new interior and exterior wall, and repainted the wall. Repaired ice dam damage around bedroom window and kitchen ceiling and repainted, removed a built-in balance beam from backyard, installed a new front storm door and wood trim, installed new kitchen window hardware (arm openers and crank handles) openers, and installed a new kitchen faucet. These guys do excellent work, arrived each day at 8 AM sharp, worked very efficiently, the price matched the estimate, and even thought we didn't ask they provided us with the receipts for the material purchased from Home Depot. My wife and I are thrilled we found someone we can trust with our home repairs.

Jeff and his team did an excellent job navigating this renovation during a pandemic. His timeline was accurate and he coordinated all the different trades very well in a busy time for renovations. The work was done very well and the work areas were always cleaned at the end of the day. We are very happy with our new kitchen and would hire Jeff again for any future renovation needs. He stands by his work and will make sure everything is to your satisfaction even after the job is complete. Tom and his crew did an excellent job with a long list of very different repair items on our new home. I contacted him via Angie's List and he visited our home for a thorough walk-through. We are new homeowners, so we had about 20 things on our list to work on, and he patiently listened as I showed him every item. After getting a clear idea of effort & general expenses, I sent him a prioritized final list of what we wanted done, and Tom sent a clear estimate via email 24 hours later. The project stayed within cost, and the estimated price ended up being the final price. (Since we were on a tight timeline, I didn't bother negotiating -- but I suspect there was probably some wiggle room here or there; and I really appreciated that nothing went over-budget. He also installed an extra light fixture that we sprung on him at the last minute!) Tom did the kitchen back-splash himself, and his crew did all of the electrical and demo work. Then he subcontracted a plumber to install the sump pump and replace a leaky pipe beneath a bathroom sink. Everyone was punctual, clean, and professional. The communication was consistent and prompt throughout the weeks leading up to the project and afterwards. I highly recommend TJR, and look forward to working with them again.

Recent Review: I can't say enough about how happy I am with Beantown Home Improvements. From everything from my intial call to final cleanup these guys are great! Jim and his crew are true professionals.Fast, friendly, polite and hard working. I have used Beantown to paint my ceilings and patch and paint walls. They come when they say they will be here. They taped and put down drop cloths to protect my furniture and carpet. They worked straight through til the job was done. They cleaned up everything and the work was flawless. I used Beantown to paint my exterior doors and to install storm doors. Jim came out immediately to measure for the storm doors. I asked him to help me out with picking a color for the exterior doors, I am glad I asked because he did a nice job picking one out! He came out and painted doors and install storm doors once my order came in. Again, friendly and professional and fast! Again, clean up was great. I also used Beantown to pressure wash my house. Jim is very responsive and was out within a few days of me contacting him. On the day he was pressure washing I was talking to him about removing my old antenna from my roof. He did it that day free of charge!! How can you beat that?

Recent Review: I needed to get a 1928 bungalow in Dudley ready for sale. What made the project unusual was that I was in Maryland and Corey in Massachusetts, resulting in most of our communication being via email and cell phone. The best part - our being in different and distant locations was never an issue. I initially met with Corey in May to describe my ideas and get his recommendations on what would work within my budget. The house had never really been remodeled and needed a complete gut of the bathroom, a new laundry area, and a reconfiguration of the kitchen. Corey and his team, including electrician and plumber, took the bathroom down to the studs and relocated the sink and vanity, installed a new ceiling and drywall, and installed all new fixtures, lighting, and accessories. The new bathroom was up to code, looked more spacious, and was now a selling point. Adjacent to the bathroom, CORE created a laundry room completely ready with new plumbing and electrical work. The existing kitchen layout did not function well. The kitchen sink and cabinets were in a small pantry in the rear of the house and the eat-in kitchen with stove and refrigerator down a hallway on the other side. With the pantry area now set up as a laundry room, CORE?s team was able to create an efficient kitchen workspace by installing new upper and lower cabinets, countertop, sink, disposal, and dishwasher where none had previously existed. The transformation was amazing and, like the bathroom, now a selling feature. Of course, items came up during the process that were not anticipated. Corey always called me to discuss the issue, made several suggestions on how to deal with it, and got my permission to implement what would work best. The work his team did was excellent, cognizant always of what code required, and thorough. The price was well within the norm for the Worcester area. It is that quality and focus on the client that made working with CORE such a positive experience.

Recent Review: Joe's Team worked on several projects in our house as follows: Kitchen: He repaired damage from a water break in the kitchen by replacing the wood floor and parts of walls. Bedrooms: Installation of flat screen TV. Installed ceiling lights. Built custom shelving. Re-shaped existing doors for carpeting. Basement: Repair damage from humidity, replaced stairs, beams, etc. Bathroom: Installed ceiling lights. His Team did a great job. We got 3 bids. Joe's was the lowest. He was on time, price was exactly as quoted and he and his team are professional. The Team was very good about putting plastic up on every inch of the rooms they were working on so that there was no dust or debris in the house. I did not even have to clean after they left! When the work was done (right on time), Joe did a walkthrough to make sure we were pleased with the outcome. We were very pleased and would highly recommend Bertola and use Bertola again in the future!

Recent Review: The experience was great. They returned our call for a quote and came out in the evening after work. They listened to what we wanted and made suggestions that were both cosmetic in nature such as matching the contour internal grids with existing windows as well as cost savings such as building the wall in equal amounts on both sides and enlarging the external frame so we wouldn't have to replace any shingles. He walked us through the door options and related hardware online so we could see the products and wrote up the quote on site. There was a follow-up visit to take accurate measures and see if there were any changes to the initial order. They accurately predicted when the materials would come in and were available to do the work within 3 days of material coming in.The two installers that came were polite, professional, friendly and easy going about our noisy bird and curious dog,neat,knowledgeable and focused. Rather than replacing all the trim they salvaged what they could and cut it to fit and used. What little new trim they had to use- was selected to match very closely the existing trim. The supervisor came out several times to check on the quality and status of the job and returned at the end to sign-off on it. We are very pleased with the quality of the product-Pro via doors and the quality of the customer service and work provided.

Recent Review: I bought my house in May 2015 and within 3 weeks I had water in my basement 3 times. The former owners had told me that they never had water in the basement. It was so frustrating! But Jason Kaye was fantastic. He promptly responded to my initial inquiry; assessed the basement water issues; and made recommendations. He understood that, as a new home owner, I needed several options that covered a range of prices. I opted for the most expensive choice because I didn't want to deal with water in my basement ever again. The crew of 5 men worked in extreme heat and humidity for 2 days to complete the job. I was impressed with the timeliness and quality of the work. I even have a pump that is remotely monitored to let me know it is working or if it needs attention. During the job, Jason was suspicious that there may be a water main leak outside. He advised me to call the town water department, which I did. The man from water department came yesterday and discovered there IS a water main leak, soon to be fixed by the town. Thanks, Jason!! Without you, my cellar would have been flooded over and over. Great job!! I highly recommend this service to anyone.

Recent Review: There were a few delays for scheduling difficulties, re-working a mis-measured electrical socket, re-centering a light fixture, but once these errors were discovered the fix was ordered and carried out within one day's time. The end result is a new, up-to-date bathroom that will last for years and looks very nice. The job took 5 weeks from design to walk-thru, which was longer than planned. The finished product was worth the wait, all the workers were very professional and helpful, the design team was insightful, the project managers were communicative and responsive. The team as a whole kept us informed, addressed our concerns, and delivered a nice product.

Recent Review: Jake was on time and always professional. He was so nice and friendly and was very honest and reasonable with his pricing. Jake showed up early in the morning and removed some pretty nasty "walls" and cleaned up shoddy workmanship on my condo walls and ceiling. He even went out to get insulation when we realized my walls had none. He then put up new drywall and plastered everything -- he was very meticulous and made sure the plaster was smooth and the edges were nice before leaving. He cleaned up everything and is even coming back to help me install the baseboards. I especially appreciate Jake's responsiveness, friendliness, and good nature. They responded quickly to my call and made visit to provide an estimate. They provided helpful suggestions for the renovation project. The start date was as promised along with timely completion. Rich and Paul were easy to communicate with and responded to all calls and emails. They kept us updated on progress of project. Paul was very diligent on all aspects of the renovation and responded to any concerns we had. They cleaned up the work area at the end of the day. Their subcontractors appear to be responsible individuals that showed up as scheduled and completed their tasks in timely manner. We are very pleased with the final product.

Recent Review: When Steve came to quote me on the job I instantly got the impression he was a perfectionist. He told me how he would fix things and what the plan was for the job. And the price quote happened to be right in there where I expected it to fall. The final product showed the quality of the work done by the team. The ceilings are crack free and gleaming white. I didn't get the right size molding so Steve took time out of his schedule to make sure we had longer pieces to eliminate the potential seam lines. What I appreciated about the crew that worked on my home is that they respected my house. They cleaned up afterwards and left things as they found them. Also, all of the guys who did various pieces of the job were very nice and came in smiling. My 95 year old needs a little more TLC so I'll be hiring Steve again to do more jobs around the house. I already have a few jobs in mind for Steve and team in the near future. Now I just need to replenish the bank account.

Recent Review: We are very happy with the job that Jonathan did on two different properties. Jonathan is very professional, thorough, detail oriented. Jonathan always came on time, was very easy to communicate with, both through email and phone. Jonathan gave both cost and time estimates and completed the projects on time and with high quality and charged the same amount as on his estimate. Jonathan replaced a garage door, and rotten fuscia board under the roof and rotten wood around a couple of windows, fixed the holes in the garage walls (they look great, you can't even see where it has been fixed!), painted entry door, fixed broken window and did a couple of other fixes. He started a job on the day he promised to start, worked full time on our projects and finished on time. On a personal level Jonathan is a very pleasant person to deal with. They were prompt in showing up for the first day of work. I received calls whenever there was a question or need for clarification. They responded promptly to emails as well. The work was done quickly. Job site was always clean and orderly. The work seems very well done. Flooring is down securely and they paid a lot of attention to small details. It was clear there was pride in the workmanship. The main purpose of the job was to rehabilitate a small finished basement that had water damage from a blown water heater. I needed other small things done as well, mainly a couple of new storm doors to make the place weather-tight. They combined several small jobs with no problem. All debris was removed promptly.
