Very bad Sweep chimney. I think he thought no one was home . So he walked into my tenants apt without knocking . He was just snooping. She sent me a text about what happened. I called him twice to hear from him exactly what he was doing .i have not received a call back yet .

I used to have Master Chimney Sweepers for my chimney. But they were very booked up so I called Derek instead, who was able to come in very short notice and did a great job sweeping the chimney and installing a cap. Both Derek and Ronnie were very professional and I am quite satisfied with the experience. Will definitely call them again in the future!

Michael and his team did an amazing job with our chimney repair. They were careful around the slate roof we have, as well as protected the skylight near the work area. Michael is extremely knowledgeable in his field and was able to explain anything we had questions about. It's been very difficult to work with this company. They completed the work on 2/4. Since completion the whole downstairs of my home started smelling like soot. I called AES on 2/7 and scheduled the appointment for 2/11 to fix the issues. They blew the 2/11 appointment off by leaving a voice mail. They said I needed to get a damper and they would be happy to install it for $350. However I never had an issue with my damper or the soot smell until AES completed the work. Therefore I cancelled the $1,660 payment with my credit card company later that same week. I have called AES frequently since that time, many times every other day. All that happens is nobody picks up the phone or if they do, they say a service rep will call me but the rep never calls. At this point I'm getting pretty fed up with AES not responding and the soot smell getting worse. If they think they can fix it I would want them to, otherwise I'm left with no other option but to call someone else. I do not recommend AES to others.

YOUNG GUY SHOWED UP. VERY FRIENDLY GUY WHO WAS TAKING A YEAR OFF BETWEEN SEMESTERS OF COLLEGE. HE REALLY DESERVES A LOT OF CREDIT FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE. HE CALLED AT 9AM THE MORNING OF SERVICE TO CONFIRM. WHEN HE ARRIVED, HE FIRST REVIEWED THE PRICING POLICY. TO CHECK THE CHIMNEY THEY CHARGE A SET AMOUNT WHICH IS ABOUT $150 IF YOU NEED CLEANING IT'S WAIVED AND WILL COST ABOUT $175 PER FLUE. GOOD DEAL. THEN HE ASKED IF HE COULD CHECK THE FIREPLACE FIRST, WHERE HE FOUND NO ISSUES OR RESIDUE. THEN HE WENT DOWNSTAIRS TO THE BASEMENT TO CHECK THE FURNACE AND THE FITTINGS AROUND IT. FOUND A PIPE THAT REALLY NEEDED TO BE CLEANED. HE STRESSED HOW OFTEN PROFESSIONAL HOME INSPECTORS WILL MISS THIS. HE PULLED THE EQUIPMENT OUT OF THE TRUCK AND WAS DONE IN A COUPLE OF MINUTES. YOU COULD TELL HE WAS WELL-TRAINED BY THE COMPANY. I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN IN A SECOND, BUT FOR NOW I HAVE TO GO LIGHT A FIRE (USING THE PAMPHLET 'HOW TO SAFELY USE YOUR FIREPLACE' FROM MASTER CHIMNEY SWEEPERS). NO SECRET

That work included cleaning of a fireplace that had quite a buildup of creosote and cleaning of the hot water heater liner. He was thorough, spending a decent amount of time cleaning the chimney from the roof. He also recommended items that would help prevent glazing in the chimney.

Average service. I was a little intimidated by the gentlemen cleaning the fireplace and flue as one of the individuals expressed that we needed to have additional work done fairly immediately (in addition to the fireplace). His description of what needed to be done sounded rather concerning. Once my husband arrived home, the gentleman toned down the immediacy of what needed (or should) be done and it became a suggestion rather than a high recommendation.

At first they book up so communication was off. But when they show up they use power drill to spin bush which really got lot of stuff out . Did outstanding job, so I hire them to come back to sweep chimney in January which I have to have done 2 time a year. Because it use for my wood stove which I use lot during winter months

As central heating has evolved over the last 100+++ years, many of the venting systems/chimneys have not received proper if any updates. They are often overlooked (out of sight out of mind). In many homes original chimneys were built to be used much differently than what is needed nowadays. As your heating units change- from oil to gas or even coal; or the efficiency/btu output changes; or by adding or removing units, so should the exhaust system/chimney be updated to conform to current units manufacturers recommendations and requirements in order to function safely and efficiently.
