Recent Review: Not easy finding an HVAC company willing to install a gas steam boiler. These guys did it all and did it well, removing the old oil burner and oil tank, installing a Weil McClain boiler including steam piping and hot water, installing gas piping, electrical and plumbing, including all inspections, even leaving me a temporary hot water heater until the furnace installation was completed. They fully accommodated my schedule as well. The town electrical inspector who came after installation was complete confirmed their good reputation.

Recent Review: I found MA Painters and Remodeling on Angie's List. After reading all the positive reviews we accepted their bid to paint the entire inside of our house in July. Fernando and his crew did an amazing job and went above and beyond until I was satisfied. Marc the owner visited almost daily and made sure everything was on target. What started as just painting turned into putting up two walls, constructing a master closet, hanging multiple chandeliers, installing flat screens, remodeling a fireplace, renovating the kitchen (including new countertops), appliances, vent for the stove, new sink and hardware. No task was too big or small. Mark always has great input and design ideas. He is very easy to work with and he continually alleviated any worries I had. He stands behind his work and makes sure his clients are happy. With so many horror stories about contractors he is truly a rare find. He is warm and friendly and genuinely cares about his clients and their happiness with the end product. With that being said I have just signed a contract with MA Painters and Remodeling to renovate our basement and I am looking forward to the entire process.

Recent Review: Amazing, Brian and his assistant (Sorry I can't remember his name even though he introduced himself). They were quick, clean and professional. I will definitely hire them again when needed.

Recent Review: Overall I am extremely pleased with the service. The pump seems to work, and Mike was quick and efficient (though of course it wasn't a very difficult job). He even mounted an electrical outlet on the furnace to power the pump and routed it to the on/off switch of the furnace. Two minor complaints: First, both times Mike came over, he was about an hour later than he said he was going to be, even though he had already called to confirm the time earlier that day. Second, I was charged an extra $200 for the electrical work. This work was not factored into the original estimate. The work itself is appreciated, since it's the technically "correct" way to do it, however, neither I nor my girlfriend (who was home while the work was being performed) was consulted prior to it being done. The $700 was a surprise for me when I got home, since the estimate was $485 plus tax.

Recent Review: The job involved replacing the old heat pump on the roof of our four story condo and replacing the air handler in our unit (1st floor). This required getting a crane to lift the new unit to the roof and remove the old unit. The first crane company contacted said they could not accomplish the task, but another crane company was hired that could and did what was required. On the day of the installation everything was in place at the required times and the job was completed without a hitch and our condo was left in perfect shape.

Recent Review: Removed old carpet and wood wall panel. Installed blue board and did plaster on them Change the windows. Installed insulation in the room and modified the lighting.

Recent Review: CORE is outstanding on every level. David Berard responds rapidly to requests for work proposals and provides excellent guidance in planning the project. Pricing is well documented and competitive. Communication is superb regarding financial transactions and work details. The work itself is immaculate. David Berard and Mike Dillon performed most of the work, with outstanding subcontractors doing two specialized portions of the work. David is onsite supervising and participating throughout the work of the subcontractors. These are very fine people who do very fine work. They exhibit pride of craftsmanship and the professional responsibility to their client. We anticipate an ongoing relationship with CORE.

Recent Review: I contacted B&G for a quote to install central air and their quote, which came quickly, was in line with one other contractor and significantly less than another. John and his crew arrived promptly to start the A/C install. When opening up some of the ductwork, they noticed two significant cracks in my furnace's heat exchanger, which was not only dangerous but was most likely the cause of my exorbitant heating bills. The cost to replace the exchanger would have been almost as much as installing an entirely new furnace, so I opted for the latter. John gave me a good price for the new furnace since I was already using their services for the A/C install. They were able to install the new furnace immediately so they could then finish up the A/C install. All in all, both jobs took four days to complete. The crew arrived promptly each day and cleaned up the area when the work was done.

He was always on the top of the project and helped me to get the most that i can without going over the budget. I would definitely recommend him.

Planning and Crew was excellent, materials all high quality, installation perfect, cost was reasonable. Everything was very professional including communication and cleanup. Recent Review: Joe, the handyman at Curren, did an excellent job performing handyman services in our home on two occasions. Both times I gave him a list of what needed to be done (i.e., install ceiling light fixtures, repair broken light, replace drawer and cabinet knobs, fix door knobs, repair woodwork, install weatherproofing strips, remove old safety latches/childproofing, etc). I supplied some of the items, such as weather strips, drawer knobs, light bulbs (though he is willing run to a store to pick up items, if needed), he brought his own tools, caulk etc. and did the work for an hourly rate billed through Curren companies. I was extremely satisfied with his work and will definitely use him again in the future. The cost is a bit higher than average, but he is very pleasant and professional, communicates well, and is more intelligent and experienced than other handymen I have hired over the past 20 years so the price seemed fair given that the process was stress-free and everything was done well. I felt comfortable having him in our home and would be willing to leave him working in our home alone if I weren't able to stay for the entire time. He's a great find for handyman services and some types of electrical work (apparently he is a licensed electrician). It worked well to give him a written list of the needed repairs, and show him what needed to be done for each repair on the list. After the "tour" I left him to complete the work and all repairs were accomplished to my satisfaction.
