The contract inclued money the contractor saw on my ins. paperwork, and I didn't realize it, it was for snow clearing and the loss of a gazebo, which had nothing to do with the damages.. it was not specified at the time he presented the paperwork, and never mentioned to me. This money he said would go towards a hardwood floor along with the possibiity of me doing a little of the painting to offset the cost of the floor install. ( I never got the floor) The people performing most of the work, made a huge mess of my home, I had to repeatedly point out that they were leaving things not done, and asking them to redo them. I would expect them to come to work and they would show up one day then not again for a day or two for a few hours. The work performed was drastically overpaid for the quality of what they actually did. They had been paid two thirds of the contract price and the bank wanted to be assured the work was completed before releasing anymore money, I am glad they didn't now. I had to tell them not to come to my home again. I believe One of the crew members stole my watch, and one of my tools. I have never had a theft in my home until this time I was and am still extremely upset. I expected a more professional experience from these people.
