Great! Joe returned my call quickly, we discussed the job, and he provided an estimate by email. The estimate was reasonable, and when I called to say I would like to go ahead, he was in the area and was able to complete the job that same day. He and his helper picked up the tiles at my local hardware store and carried them up to the third floor. Joe was knowledgeable and experienced in the tricky art of ceiling tile replacement. He also noticed another tile which was bowing suspiciously, and removed pieces of plaster which had fallen in, a dangerous situation. Replacing ceiling tiles is a very messy job, and I was thrilled to find that they cleaned up the floor completely including both sweeping and washing! I was really dreading that cleanup. They also took away all the debris. The results were great and the cost was less than the estimate. Joe is very pleasant and professional and easy to work with. This was an exceptional experience and I am glad to have found such a great handyman.

Incredibly well. These guys do everything and the crew is both friendly and professional. The team worked through the weekend to get the job done and we are very happy with the results. I needed a handyman on short notice to start renovations on a bathroom. Also we needed some ceiling tiles replaced in the basement. We were on a deadline for these projects so we could get our house on the market asap. I chose to contact Handy for Hire when I read that they keep availability by only accepting smaller jobs and when I saw that I could contact them directly through their website at night rather than waiting for business hours to call after the holiday weekend. I also liked that they charge a flat rate of $130/hr for the two men (not each) which eliminates the guesswork on price and the need to solicit estimates prior to work getting started. I contacted Handy For Hire through their website on Saturday night of Labor Day weekend inquiring about whether they could do the above work in the coming week. Within an hour, I got an email back stating that they were available on Tuesday and within a few email exchanges I had a time set with them. Dan and Corey showed up exactly on time, and they were extremely courteous and professional the entire 5-6 hrs. They did very labor-intensive work on an extremely hot and humid day and maintained a very positive attitude the entire time without a single overheard word of complaint. They made short work of the demolition and then I gave them cash to go out to the hardware store to purchase the drywall. They said they'd grab lunch also while out. They came back within a half hour to finish the job. We are extremely pleased with the quality of their work and the entire interaction with them from start to finish. At the end of the job Dan produced an electronic itemized bill which was emailed to us. I would definitely highly recommend Handy for Hire.

The job went great. I received a timely and professional response for an estimate and they came and took measurements. Got an estimate back soon after. They were prompt in showing up for the first day of work. I received calls whenever there was a question or need for clarification. They responded promptly to emails as well. The work was done quickly. Job site was always clean and orderly. The work seems very well done. Flooring is down securely and they paid a lot of attention to small details. It was clear there was pride in the workmanship. The main purpose of the job was to rehabilitate a small finished basement that had water damage from a blown water heater. I needed other small things done as well, mainly a couple of new storm doors to make the place weather-tight. They combined several small jobs with no problem. All debris was removed promptly. I would definitely recommend Silmac. Joe and his crew are professional and responsive.

Multiple repairs were performed including ceiling tile replacement, deck board replacement, gutter and siding repair. Bob has broad range of skills. He is creative and can find a solution to any kind of repair work. He is thorough with his work. You would not regret hiring him for any project.

Rob was the ultimate professional. He was truthful with the extent of possible work to be done removing a very old ceiling and replacing it. He provided me tips on how to remove the old ceiling myself so I could save some money. He and his partner showed up on time each of the four days they worked. They did an absolutely fantastic job and I will be hiring Rob to do more work in my home very soon.

I was having trouble getting someone out quick enough (the front door wouldn't stay closed!) Nick had me email a picture of the issue and had the handyman check before he even got to my house. He was able to come by within a few days, fix the door and a few other odds and ends in the house. Friendly, professional, great experience!

Some ceiling tiles fell down from inside the church. They were around 30' high. No one wanted to venture up that high, but it didn't phase Bob. He climbed up and fixed the problem. Bob knew his stuff and charged us fairly. He showed up on time! We definitely will use him again for most things that come up.

I used Siggi before and have been very happy with his work. This job has been done in 3 days. First he had to tear down the walls, remove all framing, take down ceiling tiles and haul away the debris. Once the place was cleared out he worked on drywalling over where the ceiling tiles were and do the joint compound / sand a few times. Finally he finished repairing the hardwood floor in the spots where the old floors were. As usual, he did an excellent job and the place looks amazing now that it's all open.
