B & B Residential Services
1.0
I hired B&B Residential services to do two bathroom remodels, a kitchen remodel and to refinish my hardwood floors. The bid was for $20,000.00 for mostly labor (he covered the sheetrock). My Masterbath is beautiful, but, the shower curb was installed with a slight slant outward instead of inward. The Glass installer mentioned this to me before installing the shower, but I wasn't sure of the implications. (I feel that this should have been part of the project management that I paid for). The shower leaked water everytime I took a shower. The original glass company did not agree with Joel Boykin so Joel sent a second glass company out. They installed a small strip at the bottom of the shower but the strip made it so the glass door would only open inward - which created another problem - you couldn't turn the water on without getting into the shower. The strip also revealed a defect in the glass. But because of the second glass company, the original installer would not accept responsibility for that either. I tried to work with Joel from March to August (August is when he stopped responding or return calls). In September I had an attorney send a demand letter, and he ignored that as well. The attorney is recommending Small Claims Court. Now, I am having issues getting a quotes for the repair. It appears that most contractors have more work than they can handle these days. This issue has caused me to put off selling my home pushing me into a housing market that I can barely afford. Joel's neglect in fixing his errors has cost me more than just the cost of repairing a shower leak. Based on input from the two Glass Contractors hired by Joel, the only remedy to fix my leaking shower is to remove the shower glass and replace the shower curb to angle inward vs. outward. Furthermore, the glass is bowed - not flush. The original glass contractor said it should be replaced, but because a second glass company came out that they would not cover it under their warranty. Overall, the work completed was decent, there, was, however, no Project Management – hence, if there had been a project manager/general contractor – the shower curb would have been installed correctly and there would have been a representative present when their subcontractor installed the glass. Joel complained about being over budget on the job so I did not require them to refinish my hardwood floors which was part of the contract. Good start, lousy finish to the project. Like most or all contractors – once they get all of the Money they are not interested in completing or correcting their errors. update - I just removed the damaged trim around the shower. B&B Services trimmed my bathroom with particle board trim vs. wood

Cabinet Refinishing

Paul and his crew did an outstanding job of updating our kitchen and bathroom. They replaced one kitchen cabinet (due to a leak which we didn't discover until too late), built new up-to-date cabinet doors and even upgraded a microwave cabinet to match They also installed a quartz countertop and new plumbing. The end result is just what we had ;hoped it would be. The crew were prompt, efficient, neat and

RENOVATION CREW
5.0
David and his crew were fantastic! They showed up on the date/time agreed upon months prior. They removed old tile, cultured marble shower and cultured marble countertop. They put in new tile floor (with heating underneath), opened up the shower area, tiled a brand new shower which included two shower heads and a large glass wall and shower door, and installed a new granite countertop. They also repainted the cabinets, walls, wainscot and trim, rehung the towel bars, etc., added new electric outlets, installed a heat lamp, built an interior window above the shower, and replaced the ceiling fan. The work is beautiful and professionally done. We love it! David and his crew do not cut corners! Also, very important to us is that David called us most evenings (as we were not onsite during the day) to discuss the work that was performed, to see if we had any questions, or to let us know if he needed anything from us. We have worked with other contractors and found that communication was usually terrible. David is very proactive and we appreciated it very much. Also, other than the usual dust with construction, David made sure that our house was not left a mess after his workday. We expect to have some other projects, like kitchen work, in the not too distant future and will definitely call Renovation Crew to do it for us

Alabama Re-Bath

First of all they came when they said they would each day and was on time. Bath and vanity area had not been changed since the house was purchased in 1975. They took out the bathtub replaced it with a shower 3 side wall and ceiling with bench seat, grab bar and wand replace all plumbing fixtures and glass shower doors. Laid ceramic tile in bathroom and vanity area. In vanity area installed new linen closet and vanity with marble top counter replace all the plumbing fixtures here as well. For both rooms installed new sub-floor prior to laying tile
Terry, David, Lee were all outstanding. They fixed the toilet in two seconds flat. All three were so professional and personable. And they checked the water pressure coming into the house. Were here for about 35 minutes. All done. Will definitely hire again. Thank you Plumb Right.
Donny is my go-to guy for all my projects from major (turned a spare bedroom into a master bath) to smaller (interior door replacement, flooring, etc.). He has always exceeded expectations!
Victorias Construction did a great job on our master bath remodel. Kevin was quick to respond and they completed the work in a timely manner. I would trust them with any job on our house.
The guys with Champion went above and beyond to help us get our water back on. They came from an hour away at 9pm and stayed until 2am putting in a temporary line to get us water. They came back the next day (Saturday) and finished the job. Thanks to their hard work and kindness, we now have peace of mind that our water lines are secure for many years to come. Highly recommend Champion Plumbing
It went fantastic. They did a great job. They were very personable. We were very happy with it. They were there on time. They were very professional as well.
Laster & Associates consist of three brothers, we've been serving the community since 1996. Depending on the size of the job we require half down of the total amount of the price. Once job is completed remaining balance will be do. Special promotion 5% OFF FOR ANGIE'S LIST CUSTOMERS.
Quoted $3,500 for the job then got into a long, drawn out back and forth with contractor to get work done to specs. Contractor never visited job site after initial visit. Subs broke glass shower door, several 12x24 tiles, improperly installed Ditra underlayment so that tiles actively move, grout cracked, toilet leaked badly after hookup. After sending photo of staggered vertical runs of subway tile to contractor to demonstrate desired installation pattern, sub was halfway up wall with horizontal courses when I looked in and sent a picture to contractor who had to order sub to tear it all down and start over. Contractor aggressive when confronted--do not use unless you are an absolute Tiger Mom or Dad and can go toe to toe with the best

The salesman was knowledgeable and the installers were excellent. They were punctual and extremely neat. The process took 2.5 days as they said it would. We had a problem with one of the jets not working after a short time and they came back (twice) until they figured out the problem and fixed. Would highly recommend New Bath
